And I would like to thank(pulls out long list from pocket)... (microphone is taken away from lonepichu and she is shoved off the stage) Alright already, I'll start the fic. This fic was editted by Lonepichu on May 26th, 2006 ooo Misty stared at Jack Swellow, with Pikachu upon his shoulder and gasped. "It can't be." "Yes, my name is Ash, but I have not been called that in a long time. Not since the death of my father." Jack Swellow dug the toe of his bootinto the deck of the ship, then looked up at Misty. "It can't be. Why didn't you tell me?" "I can't remember anything from my pokemon journey, and little can I remember from before that. All I can remember is the sea and my life as a pirate. That and the whole golden rose curse. I can't even remember my last name." Jack Swellow/Ash said as he held his head in his hands as if trying to remember. "You can't remember your last name?" Misty asked him, and he shook his head no. Misty suddenly remembered something she had heard three years ago from the pirates who had kidnapped her Togetic. oooooooooooooooooo Flash Back oooooooooooooooooo "Is the pokemon in here?" a strange voice asked. "I think so Herb. Hopefully it can show us where the island is," another strange voice said to the first. "Yeah, all we need to do is find that last golden rose and we will be able to remember our families again. We should be quiet, though, Umi. We don't know who could be listening," Herb said as their footsteps grew louder. oooooooooooooooooo end flash back oooooooooooooooooo "The golden rose, it makes people forget their families and other such things," Misty said to herself, then looked at Jack Swellow and asked, "Do you remember your mother?" "No, all I can remember is that my father told me I had her eyes." Ash/Jack Swellow looked at Misty. His brown eyes reflected the rising sun. Misty then remembered something else about the curse. "Can you taste food?" "Yes, but recently certain foods have become tasteless, but it's nothing much." Jack Swellow turned to face the sunrise. "Why do you ask?" "The golden rose, those who hold it are subject to it's curse. You hold a rose as the pirates of the Black Clamperl do, so you must suffer some of the curse." Misty told him as he turned back around to face her. "Why did you become a pirate?" Misty asked in curiousity. "Because my father was one, so I guess when he died I just took his place among the sea." Jack Swellow felt the breeze upon his face and sighed. "Misty, do you think I may be afflicted with this curse?" Misty looked into his eyes. They were full of expression and emotion, the same eyes that Ash had. Could this be true, was he Ash Ketchum? There was only one way to find out. "I do, so we must give the rose to the pirates of the Black Clamperl." "Are you mad?" Jack Swellow looked at her as if she was a stranger. "If you give it to them, then they will use Togetic to reveal the island. They will return the roses and you shall remember, then we shall get Togetic back." "One problem, they aren't going to willingly hand over your Togetic. They will probably destroy it after they use it." Jack Swellow sighed as he turned the sails. "Then we will have to take Togetic after they use it." Misty sounded excited as she said this. "Lass, I don't know how we will do that, but if you think it is possible, then I will try." Jack Swellow said as the Queen Misteria approached Celadon Island. ooo Meanwhile, back on Cerulean Island, there was much to discuss and much to be understood. Captain Daniel and Mayor John were at a table in the island's military base. Mayor John turned to General Daniel and roared angerly "What has happened to my daughter? She went to the prison to decide the fate of that vile pirate last night, and next thing I know my town is being attacked by some Black Clamperl nonsense ship!" "Calm down John. It seems that our scallywag had some friends pick him up along with your daughter and my future wife," General Daniel told John placatingly. "That may not be true for long if she is not returned to me," Mayor john bellowed. Just then a small voice from behind them added it's two cents. "What you say can't be true." James had stepped out from behind Mayor John. He had a rough look about him, as if he hadn't slept last night. "What do you mean?" General Daniel directed his attention upon James. "I mean, I don't think that the pirate, Jack Swellow, was a friend of that Black Clamperl," James told the two as he took a seat at the table. General Daniel and Mayor John stared at him, so he continued. "I know this because I was near him when that Salamance rider came down upon him. This guy seemed to be the captain of that Black Clamperl. Misteria hid herself behind Jack Swellow because something had scared her. Then they made to fight each other, and Jack Swellow took off on a big Swellow with Misteria in tow. They then flew to the ship he tried to steal earlier and they set sail." James finished. "What! He stole the Queen Misteria?" Mayor John bellowed, causing the other two men to cower slightly. "Small detail I forgot to mention," General Daniel said quietly so as to not bring forth another outburst from Mayor John. "I will not have my daughter sail around with some pirate. General Daniel," Mayor John addressed. "Yes sir?" questioned General Daniel cautiously. "Send out the naval fleets. I will come along as well. We will search the seas and not rest untill my daughter is found and that pirate is dead! Do you hear me?" he yelled. James and General Daniel jumped up from their seats. "Yes sir, right away sir." General Daniel ran off to prepare what was needed as Mayor John left to pack for the trip ahead. ooo Sorry this part's so short. So what do you guys think so far? I like reviews! Can't get enough of 'em. Thanks to all who have reviewed and those who read, but don't review. Thanks to those near and far (I'm in a thankful mood today). 'til next time, this is the Lonepichu signing off
