Pokemon Friends Disclaimer: I do not own pokemon or friends. I probably wrote this story back years ago when Friends was still big. Anyways, it's a Pokemon version of Friends. It's decent and lol worthy, not my best, but I'm trying to post new stuff. Well, this isn't new at all, but you know what I mean. R&R appreciated. --- Ash and Misty were sitting on the couch of their apartment, which they shared with their friends, watching TV, however, the two were having issues on exactly which channel to watch. "Channel fifty has a cool action show, come on Misty. No one wants to watch this lame Goldeen documentary," Ash whined. "We're keeping the channel right here. You want to be a pokemon master so badly, did you ever think watching documentaries on pokemon would help you learn more about them?" Misty held the romote away from Ash as far as she could. This didn't stop Ash from trying to get the romote for himself. "When am I ever going to face a goldeen in battle? If I did, it's not like they're very tough pokemon. One thunderbolt from Pikachu and those fish would need to be flushed." Ash made a mad leap for the romote, but Misty jumped up, leaving Ash to fall on the floor, gravity taking over. "Come on Misty!" Ash grumbled from where he had landed between the couch and the coffee table. Ash springs up and then manages to get behind Misty, grabbing her around the waist to try and pry the romote from her hands. When that didn't work, he resulted to tickle-tactics. A knock at the door made both of them jump and Ash released Misty. She held the romote up triumphantly and ran over to te door. She peered through the peephole on her door and then opened it. Tracey and Brock stepped in. "Hey guys, is Gary here?" Borck asked as he grabbed a bag of potato chips from the cabinent and began to munch on the unhealthy snack food. "He left. He's probably trying to flirt with Giselle again. I tell you, that guy can NOT flirt." Misty went to the fridge and grabbed a diet coke. "And how would you know this Misty?" Ash asked with a raised eyebrow. "Woman's intuition," Misty said as she chugged her coke, sitting next to Brock on the couch. "What's on?" Brock asks, as he goes to grab the romote. Misty grabs it away as fast as a quick attack. "Ask her," Ash grumps, flopping on an arm chair. "Oh come on Ash, this is healthy and educational television to help you with battling." Misty crushed the empty diet coke can in her hand and set it on the coffee table. "And don't put you feet on the table." Misty whacked his feet with the romote. Ash cursed as he withdrew his feet and set them on the floor with a humph. "Goldeens?" Brock asked. "Yes, Goldeens," Misty answered in a way that made Brock cower in fear. "Hey, what about me?" Tracey asked, having been temporarily forgotten. "Hey there," Misty waved, engrossed in the documentary. "My name'snot there," Tracey sat down on a wicker chair and stared at Misty seriosuly for a second before laughing his head off. "Your jokes just keep getting lamer and lamer. When are you going to give them up?" Brock asked, folding his arms behind his head and not caring about the stupid Goldeen documentary. "Never!" Tracey answered wih a sly grin. A banging is heard from the floor. Ash rolls his eyes as this sound is very common in their apartment, Proffesor Oak was using the handle of his broom to hit his ceiling so that the young adults above him would shut up and give the poor man some peace. "Tolerant old man," Ash mumbled, his mood dropping. Then the vid-phone beside the couch rang. "Never a dull moment." Ash grabbed the receiver and din't bother to turn the video on. "Hello?" he asked. "Hey this is Gary. Did something happen to your vid-phone? I can't see you." Gary's voice came from the phone in Ash's hand. "Of course it works, I'm just really, really close to it because I think you're so attractive," Ash said in his most sarcastic voice. "Well someone's in a bad mood. Anyways, just called to say not to expect me to return anytime soon. I finally got Giselle to agree to go out with me!" Even without video, Ash could tell that Gary was extremally excited, however Ash really didn't feel like talking. "Finally? Well, good luck, bye." Ash hung up before Gary could say anything. "Well?" Misty asked. "Gary finally got a date wiht Giselle, so he won't be home until God knows when," Ash replied, trying to make another grab for the romote, ending in him getting whacked with it once again. "He did? What did he do, black mail her? As ofton as he's been trying to get her, I thought that he would never succed." Misty looked thoughtful. Ash used her temporary mind wanderance to grab the remote and change the channel to a battle between a Gengar and a Tyranitar. "You little," Misty lunged at Ash, who simply grabbed her under the ribs and tickled her. Misty collapsed to the carpet in a fit of laughter. She shot Ash an evil look, but he just smirked smugly at her, Tracey grabbed the calender and placed it on the floor, then stood on it. "Look, I'm on a date." Tracey gave a world class serious look before chortling uncontroably. The rest of the gang just shook their heads in a combination of annoyance and embaressment. "Why are we friends with him?" Misty asked as she plopped herself back on the couch. "Actually, I do have a date." Tracey was serious this time. "Really? With who?" Ash asked skeptically. "It's really none of your buisness, but I'll tell you so that you'll believe me. Carolynn from Shamouti agreed to go out with me." "Carolynn? I give it a week."Misty grabbed the abandoned romote and turned the Goldeen documentary back on. "Like you're a date expert Misty," Ash commented, looking smugly at her. "And you are?" Misty glared at him. "I bet you that you couldn't get anything out of a date." "I could get more out of one then you could!" "Prove it to me by going on a date with me tonight at 8:00," Ash challenged. "You're on Ashy Boy!" Misty picked up her purse and left the apartment. "So that's how it's going to be, ehh?" Brock gave Ash a sly grin. "I have no idea what you're talking about." Ash grabbed the romote and changed the channel to a program that was completely devoid of Goldeen. "Sure you don't. Anyways, you know Misty would have gone out with you anyways. You didn't have to trick her." Brock put his feet on the coffee table, Ash following suit. "At least I have a date tonight." Ash left Brock to groan at that comment. OoOoOoOoO Misty pushed the down button on the elevator and stood waiting tapping her fot. "I'll show Mr. Ketchum," she muttered to herself. The elevator door opened and Delia Ketchum, Ash's mom, stepped out. "Why hello Misty, has Ash been chnging his you-know-whats?" Mrs. Ketchum asked, holding a fresh batch of laundred underwear. Misty blushed a deep crimson, "I can't exactly say that I've been keeping track." "Oh well, after all these years, I'm sure I can trust him." Mrs. Ketchum waved as she knocked on the door of the apartment. Misty just shook her head and entered the elevator, going down to her female friend, Sakura's apartment for some tips. Misty arrived at the apartment, a floor below theirs and on the same floor as Oak's and Delia's. "Hey Misty, come to get tips on the big date?" Sakura asked, her purple hair still in it's annoying pigtails. "Yeah, now can you-wait a second. How do you know?" Misty asked, looking surprised. "Woman's intuition." Sakura winked. "Actually Brock called me and told me on his cell. So, Ash tricked you into going out with him because of a bet. What's the prize?" "Oh, it's...well...darn it! Stupid Ash got me all worked up, so i wouldn't ask about a prize." Misty sat on Sakura's couch and put her fingers to her temples, massaging them. "Don't worry, you can figure that out after you win. I think you should dress casual. Let's get the details ironed out. It makes me wonder why Ash tricked you into this because you would've agreed to go out with him anyways, right?" "Yeah, I don't have a date." Misty grabbed the romote and groaned when she discovered that the goldeen documentary was no longer on. "Oh come on Misty, you like him, don't you?" Sakura insisted. "Maybe a little," Misty shruged. Outside, Ash had been eavesdropping. He had hurried down here to escape his mother's lecture and had decided to listen in at the girl's door. Ash hurried off to tell Brock what he had just heard. OoOoOoOoO "I've told you she liked you, and you knew that she liked you, so what's the big deal?" Brock and Tracey were lounging on the couch in Ash, Misty, and Gary's apartment, watching pokemon sumo. "Well, I never heard her admit it before." Ash looked excited, and also mischevous. "She didn't exactly admit it from the way things sound." Brock looked over at Ash, who was pacing back and forth. "Well, she doesn't know that we know," Tracey pointed out, "for all that's worth." "Yeah, I can use this knowledge to my advantige!" Ash kept pacing, looking at his watch. OoOoOoOoO "Alright, it's almost eight." Misty and Crystal had arrived at the apartment and Misty was fumbling for the key when they heard Ash. "You know, they should really get insulated doors at this place, I mean like we overheard Misty saying she liked me, you have no idea when someone could be listening in to your conversation." "Well, stop talking so long and maybe they won't here you," Brock complained. "That idiot was listening to us? What ever happened to privacy?" Misty shook her head in anger. "But, they don't know that we know that they know, you know?" Sakura told her. Misty just shook her head again and opened the door. Ash jumped as Misty and Sakura walked in. "What are you doing here?" Ash asked frantically "Last time I checked, I lived here." Misty strutted over to her bedroom, Sakura close behind, grinning like a loon the whole way. Misty shut the door behind them. "Oh my gosh, they know that we know that they know that we know!" Ash looked at Misty's door. "So?" Tracey got up and stretched. "Well, I'm off to meet my date. Catch you two later." Tracey left, mocking Ash's surprise before he shut the door. "I hate that guy," Ash fumed. OoOoOoOoO "Did you hear that?" Sakura asked. "No, and I really don't care what they said." Misty was applying make-up for the night. "Whatever, but they don't know that we know that they know that we know that they know that we know...or something like that." Sakura looked confused. "Does it really matter?" Misty had finished applying make up and went into her bathroom to change. "Of course it does!" Sakura shouted, using Misty's lipstick while she was in the bathroom so that she wouldn't know. "Maybe to you, and I know that you're using my lipstick." Misty came out of the bathroom as Sakura put the lipstick away hurridly, grinning innocently at Misty. Misty rolled her eyes and went to ge tAsh so the two could get coffee at Central Perk. OoOoOoOoO Usually, the group would hang out on the couches near the front, but tonight Ash and Misty had gotten a table near the back. Brock and Sakura, being dateless, decided to tag along and help, or what they believed was help. "So, that'll be two decaffs as usual?" the waiter, Richie asked. "You got it." Ash took the bill. "It's on me tonight, Mist." "Don't call me that," Misty said flatly, then remembered the bet, "you know I don't like it," she tried to say teasingly, but it sounded pained. "Whoa, whoa, are you two on a date?" Richie looked surprised. "Now there's something I never thought I would see." "Just get the coffee." Misty demanded. "Yes ma'am," he saluted and went to fill their orders. "By the way, Ash, what's the prize for tonight? To my knowledge, we never settled on one." Misty asked, resting her chin on her hand. "I was sort of hoping that you would forget." Ash laughed a bit. "You know me better then to forget a prize, Ashy boy." Misty enjoyed seeing the breif look of annoyance that crossed Ash's face. "How about loser buys the winner a bike?" Ash grinned teasing Misty. "How about not? Don't remind me about that. I know, winner buys the loser a universal, password protected romote control?" Misty gave Ash a puppy-dog face. "That's kind of random, but sure, why not? No more Goldeen documentaries after tonight." "If you win, which I doubt." "Well, here's your coffee," Richie walked by their table and handed the their cups. "I'll just add this to your tab, Ash." Ash nodded as Richie left to help out other customers. "Psst!" Misty heard someone call. Misty turned to see Sakura pointing to the bathroom. "Ugh, I guess i have to go to the bathroom, excuse me." Misty got up from the table and went to meet Sakura. "What do you want?" "Here, I wrote down something you should say to Ash." Sakura pulled out a peice of paper and handed it to Misty. Misty read it and began to giggle. "This is so out of charcter for me that it's not even funny. Well, actually it is. I can't say this to Ash." Misty shok her head. "Well, at least drop a little hint or something, for me?" Sakura begged. "Okay, fine. Just so long as I don't have to say what's on this paper." Misty walked back over to the table and apologized for leaving Ash hanging. "No problem, Brock was over here while you were gone, trying to make me say this," Ash handed the paper to Misty. They both shared a good laugh while sipping their coffees. "Oh that's nothing, look what Sakura wanted me to say." Misty handed the paper to Ash. Coffee threatened to come out of his nose, he was laughing so hard. "I mean, who do they think we are, thier puppets that they can put words in our mouth as ridiculous as this?" "Probably, which gives me an idea. Perhaps we should pull a little trick on Brock and Sakura to get them together and make them say ridiculous things. How about Tuesday night?" Ash asked. "Okay, it's a date. By the way Ash, you do know you don't have to keep tricking me into these dates, right? I'd go out with you anyways." Misty told him, taking a swig of her coffee. "I know, but I can never think of the right way to ask you out," Ash admitted. "Besides, this way is more fun." He added with a sly grin.
