Latias's Love Disclaimer~Well, here's part 5 of my RN fic, which is all about love and the confusion that Love can cause. Plus some action later on. Please enjoy part 5 of my odd little RN. ```````````````````````````````````````` Lawerance the Third (yeah, in case ya didn't know, that's the guy from the begining of part 4) snuck into the Secret Garden. It was late at night, and Latias was curled up, asleep in her tree. Lawerance smiled up at the sleeping Latias. "Heh, with that thing asleep, this will make things much easier." he thought to himself. He carefully crept over to the pool of water in which the Soul Dew rested. He then slipped a small camera into the water. The camera was so small, that it could not easily be detected. He smiled into the camera, and saw his matching face on the screen of his portable TV, which was hooked up, wirelessly, to the camera. "Hmm, I learned from last time that rushing into your goals, isn't always the way to acheive them. I shall get the soul dew I need to bring me one of the most powerful pokemon. However, this time I shall get to know the guardian before I take what I want from the guardian." he grinned as he put the TV in his bag and walked back out of the garden. "I can tell, this game is about to get very interesting." ```````````````````````````````````````` Ash stretched as he woke the next morning. He glanced hopefully at the bed across from him, hoping by some maricle, the past two days had not occured. However, Misty was no where to be found. He sighed as he got slowly and reluctantly out of bed and headed for the bathroom. There he got ready for the day ahead, and from what he had just learned, who knew what today held in store for him. He walked down the stairs to the main floor of the pokemon center, and picked up a dough nut. He nibbled on the end of the Choclate doughnut as he headed outside. He walked down the street, and made his way towards the Tour de Altomare training arena. Ash made his way down the steps and picked up a transport disc at the bottom of the stairs (one of those things they race on). Ash then released his Totodile, who happily began to dance about. Ash smiled at the happy 'dile as they both walked towards the water way to practice. When, all of a sudden, they heard someone running and yelling out to Ash. "Sir, how dare you let your Pikachu wonder freely, do you know what your Pikachu just did to my Stripes?" a girl, about two years younger then Ash, came running up to him. He turned and recognized the girl as... "Casey?" Ash saw her stop running as he said her name. She had the same Electabuzz uniform on, but it was now a bit tighter, revealing her features. She had her purple hair out of it's usual pig tails at the back of her head, and she was no longer wearing the Electabuzz cap. She was holding a Pikachu in her arms, who unlike Ash's Pikachu, had a third stripe upon her back. "Ash, oh my, imagine meeting you here." Casey stopped, her breath taken away at spotting her old love intreast. Although she had long since stopped liking him, when she realized that Misty liked him, he still couldn't help feeling breathless whenever she saw him. "What were you saying?" Ash asked as Casey just stared. She then blushed as she looked into his eyes, and Ash felt a similar blush creep upon his own cheeks. "Huh? Oh yeah..." Casey turned her gaze away from Ash's, her cheeks becoming as red as the Pikachu's cheeks in her arms. "Ash, your Pikachu was out all night with my Pikachu." "Wha? How is that possible? I told Pikachu to be back at the Pokemon Center at cerfew last night." Ash said as Totodile danced happily beside him. "Well, apparently your Pikachu didn't listen to you." Casey began to get a little mad, her blush fading from her cheeks. "I found them together last night while I was wondering the streets looking for Stripes. And you won't believe what I found them doing!" Casey yelled, as Stripes looked down at the ground, ashamed. "Well, I took Stripes to the Pokemon Center for examination this morning, and found that Stripes is going to be a mother, thanks to your Pikachu." Ash stared, dumbstruck, as Casey stood fuming, Stripes in her arms looking ashamed. "Where's Pikachu?" Ash asked. "Well, Pikachu is at the Pokemon Center with Nurse Joy because I took him up there. I can't believe how neglectful you were, why didn't you go find your Pikachu when it wasn't back when you told it to be last night?" Casey fumed, as Stripes jumped from her arms and began to engage Totodile in conversation. "Oh man, this isn't good." Ash scratched the back of his head, "How long untill the litter arrives?" Ash asked. "Well, Nurse Joy told me in three weeks, a day or two after the Tour da Altomare. Pikachu preganancies are always short." Casey replied as she watched Stripes like a hawk; not certain if she could ever trust Stripes again. "That means me and Pikachu will be here. We don't leave untill a week after the Tour de Altomare." Ash replied as he too looked at Stripes. Totodile was dancing about, and Stripes was sitting down, watching. "Good, because I'm not taking care of all those babies on my own." Casey replied sourly as she picked up Stripes. "Wait Casey." Ash called, as he set his transport disc down. "What is it, Ash?" Casey asked as she turned to face him. "I was wondering, if you weren't busy, if we could meet at Igglybuff's Italian Eatery for lunch to talk about things." Ash asked as he looked up at Casey with hope in his eyes. He had lots he needed to get off his chest, and maybe a girl's point of view could help. Casey looked back at him, unable to believe what he just asked her. The blush crept back upon her face as she turned back to face him. "I'd love to, 12:00 PM good for you?" she asked. "Sounds good to me." Ash replied as Casey walked away. Ash then picked up the disc and he and Totodile trained untill lunch time. ``````````````````````````````````````````````````` Latias trilled happily as it transformed into it's human form in front of Latios's soul. "Oh Latias, you've made me so happy. In fact, I think I'll go find Ash now." She twirled around once as she ran out of the garden and into the mainland. Meanwhile, Lawerance viewed what he had just witnessed through his observer screen television. He grinned as he said aloud, "So the younger female guardian has fallen in love with the chosen one. hehe, this is rich. I may be able to use this information to help me obtain the soul dew." Lawerance set the TV on his desk of the appartment he had decided to stay in while he waited untill he could obtain the soul dew. That's when outside, he heard a commotion. He peaked through the crack of his door at what was happening. "I don't know what to do anymore!" growled a red-headed girl. Lawerance paused as he recognized this girl. "Hey, that's the girl that was with the chosen one." he said softly, as a grinned played upon his face. "It's okay Misty, just forget about him." Ross placated the enraged red head. "I've been trying, but how can I forget someone I've been in love with for the past six years just like that?!" she yelled. Ross fell back some. Then, foot steps were heard as Misty stormed down the steps, Ross close behind. "Why don't we go get something to eat? Might help." Ross suggested. "Maybe..." Misty's voice was no longer withen hearing range, so Lawerance was unable to hear the rest. "So, the red head is in love with the chosen one. This could also work to my advantige." Lawerance grinned as he shut the door back. "After all, what is love but a game?" Lawerance smirked as he walked back over to his desk and sat down, getting out a pencil and some paper in order to sketch out a plan. ```````````````````````````````````````` Ash walked into Igglybuff's Italian Eatery at the time he had agreed to meet Casey at. He took a seat and grabbed two menus. He set one of the menus upon the table and he picked up the other and began to look at the appetizers untill Casey arrived. Casey was a little late, but that was okay to Ash. He flipped through the menu, not sure what he wanted, and just as he was about to make his mind up, he heard a familiar trilling voice, but a not so familiar girl in front of him. The girl saw Ash looking at her and she blushed a deep shade of red, then came over to Ash's table. "Hey Ash, what's up?" she asked as she looked down at Ash and Casey. Ash stared at her with his mouth slightly open. Casey looked disapprovingly at the girl and even more disapprovingly at the look Ash was giving the girl. "How'd you know my name?" he asked breathlessly, taken back by the girls beauty. "It's me Ash!" she trilled excitedly. She spun around, looking down at him. "Don't you remember me?" "Who are you?" Ash asked, confused. She smiled at him. "It's me, Lairus" she laughed. "Lairus...you mean you're...?" he looked up at her, his brown eyes grew huge. "How?" "My brother again." she grinned at him. "Wow, you look amazing!" Ash's brown eyes were opened wide, staring into her deep red-nearly violet, eyes. "Thanks, how about we dance to this next song? For old times sake." she asked, Casey had now been completely ignored, and she didn't like it. "Yeah, sure..." Ash got up as a nice up beat dance tune came on. The lights in the building were dim so Latias's red elegant gown seemed to glow. "What about me Ash?" Casey asked "What about us?" "What about us?" Ash asked, then turned with Latias onto the dance floor with the other dancing couples. Casey, enraged at what had happened, got up and stormed away, however as she was leaving, she nearly ran into non-other then Misty and Ross. "Misty! It's been ages!" Casey exclaimed, grabbing her hand and shaking it. "Not since we last met at my gym in Cerulean. I didn't expect to find you here, what's up?" Misty asked, Ross just stood akwardly to the side. "Well, I'm on vacation with all my nice Electabuzz striped pokemon. By the way, I've given up those old theme songs." Casey placed a hand behind her head and giggled. Misty sighed with relief. "I thought you didn't like Italian, Casey." Misty said, her foot tapping in time to the beat of the song that was playing. "I don't, the only reason I came here was because Ash invited me. By the way, I thought you two were dating." Casey looked up at Misty. Casey was still wearing the same Electabuzz uniform. "The jerk, I don't feel as if I can trust him anymore. Especially not after he was out all night with another girl." Misty frowned, folding her arms across her chest. "Another girl? You mean Lairus?" Casey asked. "Lairus? ...Oh yeah. WAIT A MINUTE, is he here with her?" Misty shouted her question, causing several to stare at them. "Yeah, he just left me sitting there, feeling like a fool while he couldn't keep his eyes off of her." Casey felt angry tears come to her eyes. "Lairus is a pokemon, not a real human no matter how real she may look. Ash has to learn that...the player." Misty thought to herself. "I can't believe this." she said aloud. "Well, it's been nice meeting you, would you like to meet later on tonight, say at 8 to catch up?" Casey asked. "Sure, we can see a movie at that megaplex by the icecream shop." Misty suggested, "Okay, sounds good. See ya Misty." Misty waved at Casey as she left the resturant. "I can't believe this, Ash is SUCH A PLAYER!" Misty shouted, flames coming to her eyes. "Calm down Misty, lets sit down and have some food. Forget about him." Ross gently grabbed her arm and led her to a nearby table. They both sat down as a waiter brought them their menus. "I just don't understand him, how come guys are such pigs? No offense Ross, okay maybe not all guys, but the vast majority of them are." Misty sighed, placing her head in her hands. "Well, I can't begin to figure out why he would be acting this way." Ross didn't really know what to say, but what he said seemed to help. "If we wouldn't have come to Altomare, none of this would have happened. And coming here was my idea." Misty sighed again, she felt really down. "But, if you hadn't came here, you would never had found out what kind of guy he truely is. You might have been married to him, just speaking hypothetically, and what if he cheated on you?" Ross placed a hand on her arm. "I never thought about it that way." Misty looked up at Ross. "Besides, who knows...maybe Ash is just going through a phase, I mean he's never acted this way before has he?" Ross asked her in a calm and gentle voice, trying to cheer her up. "No he hasn't. Maybe it is just a phase, who knows? I have enough to worry about without having to worry about Ash, after all the Tour de' Altomare is in only a few weeks time." Misty smiled slightly. "Thanks for cheering me up Ross." "Anytime." Ross smiled too, a warm feeling coming to his chest. The waiter came back and took their orders. A new song then came on, a tune familiar to all those gathered around. "Hey Misty, want to dance while we wait for our orders?" Ross asked her, hand still on her arm. "Well...sure, why not?" Misty got up and the two began to dance. That's when Ash, who was still dancing with Latias, spotted Misty. His jaw dropped as he saw who she was dancing with. Latias noticed he wasn't paying her any attention at all and got a bit angry. She tapped him imaptiently on the shoulder, "Ash, what's wrong?" "Nothing, just saw someone I knew." Ash fell silent. "I'm not quite in the mood for dancing anymore..." Ash sighed, makinking his way to the table through the crowded dance floor. He sat down, glaring at Misty and Ross. Though he still hadn't noticed Casey's absense. Latias stormed over to the table, but when she looked into Ash's deep, sad eyes, her anger seemed to melt away. "Ash, you saw Misty didn't you?" she asked. "Yeah..." Ash mumbled. Latias sighed. "I should've known, he still loves her." "I just can't believe she's dancing with another guy instead of me." Ash was a mixture of emotions: sad, angry, depressed, jealous, and worst of all, alone. "Well, how could she? You were dancing with me. Now forget about her and come dance with me again." Latias grabbed his hand and pulled him out of his seat. "That's just it, I can't forget her..." and with that, Ash walked quietly out of the resturant, hanging his head. Latias just stared after him, tears coming to her eyes. She didn't even bother to blink them away. Latias became translucent and transformed back to her normal pokemon form and flew off to the secret garden to cry in peace. ````````````````````````````````````````````````````` That's how it remained for the next week, Latias was depressed, hardly eating, in the garden. She didn't even bother to leave her usual branch and whenever Bianca approached, Latias would turn translucent to avoid her. Ash stayed in his room, not even coming out to train. He layed on his bed, looking at the bed where Misty had slept, eating box after box of doughnuts. Casey continued to watch after Stripes, not trusting her, but began to grow excited of the coming litter of Pichus. She continued to meet with Misty at differant places. Misty was almost always accompanied by Ross, but when Misty wasn't out with Casey, she was in her room, crying silently to herself. Ross continued his work at the gondola shop, though his thoughts were mostly on Misty. Lawerance on the other hand had made a plan. He had written a note early on the morning of the 9th day of Ash and Misty's stay. He made sure to place this note where Latias would see it and read it. Lawerance may have lost once, but he would not lose again. Now all that remained was for Latias to read the note and take the advice written inside. ```````````````````````````````````````````````````````` My first new fic in AGES, thanks to the two who reviewed my fic, sapphireruby...something can't remember the name ^-^;; sorry.
