Olivine City (Here We Come) Disclaimer: I don't own pokemon or the first pokemon movie sound track (which all the songs in this fic come from) or anyone who sings those songs. This is the first pokemon fan fic I ever wrote, but not the first I submitted. I found it while cleaning today, so I decided to type it up for your viewing pleasure. There is also a sequel to it, which I'll type up as soon as I find it. Please, also remember that this was written before there was a such thing as wailords and wailmer so I made the Lanturn the size of small whales in the wild. Enjoy Part 6 and the final part Note: This story was orignally written April 1 through 5 of 2002 ooo Ash had entered the hospital in Olivine City and was sitting in the waiting room. Brock and Charletta were also there. "How is she?" Ash asked. After the incident at the beach, Ash and Misty had been taken to the hospital and finally a group of workers had arrived. The two Lanturn were finally returned back to the ocean with everyone's help. The next day, Ash had woken up and after getting a check up, was sent back to the hotel, just so long as he got plenty of rest. Misty hadn't woken up yet, but it hadn't been that long, however it wa slong enough that the three had missed their boat to Cianwood. "A doctor just came in and said she's showing signs that she's going to wake up today, so we're just waiting until he says we can come in and see her." Ash nodded at Brock's words and sat down next to him. Not long afterwards, a doctor arrived and waved at them, letting them know that it was okay to come see Misty. Ash ran down the hall and Brock and Charletta followed. "Hey Misty," Ash calls to her, sitting down in the chair beside her bed. Misty looked up at Ash and coughed slightly. Misty then blushed, embaressed that she might have coughed on Ash. Ash just smiled and waved it away. "What day is it?" she asked wearily, putting a hand to her forehead. "Well, the boat left yesterday, so that would make it a Monday." Ash gently held her hand, until she jerked it out of his as she sat up in panic. "I made you miss the boat! Oh no, I'm so sorry," Misty put her head in her hands. Ash put a hand gently on her shoulder. "Don't worry, our tickets are still good. We'll just leave when the next one comes in a few days." Ash explained. Brock and Charletta look at each other and nod, leaving the room. Brock picks Pikachu up and carries him out of the room as well. "I'm glad you're awake." Ash's expression had softened. "I'm glad you're here," Misty smiled, then frowned as she turned to Ash and asked, "What exactly happened back in the ocean?" "I'm not exactly sure, but I had someone warn me that things like that would happen, you know like with Lugia and Entei and at the beach, because I'm-" "The chosen one," Misty interupted. She sighed and hugged her knees close. "I hate that you have to go through that. You're come close to dying so many times. I never really thought much about it before, but it seems like you're an accident waiting to happen." Misty smiled a little, "Then again, I suppose that's what makes you, well, you. Don't ever change." Ash blushed and scratched his nose, "I don't plan on it." He grinned and closed his eyes, putting his hands behind his head. "As long as I have you and Pikachu and all of my other friends and pokemon, I'll never give up." Misty laughed, and Ash laughed with her. The two then shared a quick kiss, both blushing as the action was still new to both of them. ooo The Last Night at Olivine, 6:45 PM ooo Brock, Charletta, Ash, Misty, and Pikachu decided to relax and take it easy on their last night in Olivine city because they didn't know when they would have another opportunity for rest and relaxation. The Lanturn were once again jumping out of the ocean, just as happy and carefree as ever. The group were on the balcony of Ash's room. Below them, a couple was holding hands as they walked along the beach. Charletta jumped out of her chair and ran to the edge of the balcony,, giving a shout of joy. "Hey look! That's Taylor and Crystal! Wow, so they got together too!" Charletta high-fived Brock. "Perhaps that's our purpose in life; to be matchmakers," Brock held Charletta's hand as she sat back down. Misty gave Brock a dangerous, sly look. "Just how many couples did you set up this week?" "Just you two and those two," Crystal answered for Brock, who was looking cautiously at Misty. "Well, how would you guys like one more traveling partner for your journey?" Charletta asked, smiling brightly at Ash and Misty. "You're coming with us?" Misty asked. Charletta nodded as Brock pulled her onto his lap. "Alright, it'll be so nice to have another girl on our journey." Misty and Charletta began to talk girl talk excitedly for a little bit, but both grew quiet, enjoying the sea breeze. "We've been here for so long, it seems kind of weird to be leaving this place," Misty sighed as she watched the waves gently caress the sand of the beach. "Yeah, we've had so much fun and met so many new people that t seems like we've been here longer than two weeks." Ash leaned back in his chair, closing his eyes to the bright sun that was midway through it's descent. "?We'll be back before too long with that medicine for Jasmine's Ampharous and to get her badge, though we won't stay as long next time," Brock pointed out. Ash nodded, then suggested, "Maybe after I win the Johto league, we can come back here for another vacation." everyone agreed to that. "Assuming you do win," Misty teased. Ash stuck his toungue out at her, which she answered with a laugh and sticking her toungue back out at him. "I will win because I'll never give up. I'll just keep battling, no matter how long it takes." Ash smiled, petting Pikachu, who was on his shoulder, and looking out as the Lanturn jumped out of the water against a brilliant sunset background. Ash sighed, content and happy . His eye catches a golden bird of lore that flies off into the distance, becoming smaller and smaller until it can't be seen anymore. The group then retire for the night to their respective rooms and, in Charletta's case, hotels. "Good night guys," ash calls, the others telling him night. Misty gave him a hug before retiring to her own room. Ash yawns as he flops onto his bed, Pikachu at his side, and sleeps for the last time at this hotel. ooo The Next Morning ooo As they board the ship that will take them to Cianwood, they can't help but take one final look back at the city that helped each of them mature. Ash, Brock, Misty, Charletta, Togepi and Pikachu think back on all the experiances they shared and all the people that had met as the boat pulls away from the dock, leading them to adventure. What waits in store for our heros? Only time will tell as their journey continues ever on. ooooo THE END Wow, my first (I don't count bored) actually completed story on the tower, or anywhere for that matter. Now time to complete the others, because as a writer, my journey is never over. There's always something new to write. Well, please review by the normal means. Well, until my next story, this is the Lonepichu signing off.
