Pokemon: The Next Generation Episode 2: The swarm of rampant Dunsparce Disclaimer: I don't own Pokemon, however I do own my original charcters. Sorry updating has been so long coming. Thanks to all who have voted for me, it means a lot guys. OoOoOoO Tuesday and Danny were in the waiting room of the Pokemon Center in Cherry Grove city, waiting for Pichu to be healed, as well as the rest of their pokemon. "So let me get this straight," Danny crossed his arms on his chest, "you're mom used to be the gym leader of the Cerulean City gym, your dad is the master pokemon trainer, the famous Ash Ketchum, and you just got your first pokemon yesterday." Tuesday nodded her head. "Well, no wonder you were able to catch Ursaring. Great training skills run in your blood." "I just hope it helps me accomplish my dream," Tuesday sighed as she looked out one of the windows. "What's your dream? To become a master trainer like your father?" "No way," Tuesday turned to face Danny, "not ever! I don't want that at all. My dad is hardly ever home, though he has been at home more now that he took up the lab in New Bark Town, but we always used to worry about him. I don't want my family to have that kind of worry. What I really want to be is a member of the Elite Four. Those are the top trainers in the world! My dad does head them, but they are a superb bunch of trainers. I have always wanted to be one of them." Tuesday was now lost in a daydream. "Snap out of it," Danny waved his hands in front of her face. She looked up at him and blushed, embarresed that she had let herself drift off like that. "You still owe me a new bike." "That's also something I inherited." Tuesday put an arm behind her head and smiled, embaressed. "What?" Danny looked confused. "Oh, nothing," just then, the light above the healing door went off and Nurse Joy walked out, holding their pokeballs and Pichu. "You're pokemon are in top shape. Will you be needing a room for the night?" Nurse Joy asked as she handed Danny and Tuesday their respective pokeballs. Pichu jumped over to Tuesday and tapped her on the shoulder. "Not now Pichu," Tuesday waved his little paw away, "and no Nurse Joy, we won't be needing a room. I plan on heading out soon. Thanks for healing my pokemon." "It puts food on the table," she commented as she walked away from the two of them. Danny and Tuesday looked at each other and felt a sweatdrop of embarressment roll down their faces. "Pichupi!" Pichu shouted to be heard. "Hey, does Pichupi mean Tuesday?" Tuesday asked. Pichu shrugged and shook his head, "Pichupi pichu chupi pi." Tuesday stared blankly at Pichu. Pichu sighed and pointed at it's ear. "Oh, you think Pichupi sounds better then my name?" Pichu nodded his head. "Hey, what's wrong with my name?" Pichu just sniggered, then demanded Tuesday's attention once more. Tuesday, however, was too busy fastening pokeballs onto her belt and didn't notice. Pichu, fed up, released a thundershock at Tuesday. Tuesday fell to the ground and glared at Pichu. "What was that for?" Pichu pointed at it's stomach, which was growling quite loudly. "Come to think of it, I'm hungry too." "There's a nice little resturant down the street. I've been to it before. It's real cheap and the food is great," Danny suggested. "Lead the way!" Tuesday got up and Pichu jumped for joy. The three of them made their way across the street, however they soon heard shouts and screams. "The Dunsparce are swarming! Everyone take cover!" a man running by shouted as he passed them. "The dunsparce?" "Oh no!" "Take cover!" the conversation around Tuesday and Danny was quick-paced and worrisome. "What's going on?" Tuesday asked an older man with long, blonde tresses. "Each year a swarm of Dunsparce rampages through our town on their migration to the caves near Blackthorn City. Dunsparce go there to mate, then they return back East through a differant route that takes them through the silver mountains. Dunsparce are rare, which is why trainers can usually only catch them during swarms, however the swarms are dangerous for our town and they almost always destroy buildings and cause injury. Take cover while you can!" the man quickly ran into a nearby house, which was locked after him. "I want to catch a Dunsparce!" Tuesday exclaimed. She ran onto the main street, even though the ground was rumbling very feircley from the oncoming Dunsparce. "They aren't even in town yet and the ground's rumbling this much. You're a great trainer, but I don't think you can take a whole swarm of Dunsparce!" Danny grabbed her arm and tried to pull her out of the street, but she wouldn't budge. "I can do it with my pokemon," Tuesday smirked at Danny. "Whatever," he grumbled. She was being cocky and Danny thought she could really use something to pop her inflated ego. Just then, a familiar laugh rang across the empty, rumbling street. Tuesday visibly cringed, "I know that voice," she groaned. "Why hello Tuesday, what a pleasure to see you again! Here to catch a Dunsparce I see. Well, it just so happens that I am too." May then spotted Danny. "I see he's still tagging along. Are you two dating?" Tuesday blushed and waved her arms. "Of course not, that's so gross." "Sure," May rolle dher eyes. She almost lost her footing as the tremblings became suddenly greater and the Dunsparce began to become visible over the horizon. "Looks like we should get ready. I choose you, Croconaw!" May released a larger form of the blue crocodile she had started with. The pokemon had red spikes along it's back and yellow patches on it's stomach. "Your Totodile evolved already!" Tuesday exclaimed, staring in surprise at Croconaw. "Yes, but it's not going to evolve again. Both Croconaw and I agreed that this form is much better then Feraligator. I like Croconaw, as it's my favorite pokemon, and Croconaw doesn't want to evolve." "That's amazing," Tuesday gasped, "and I choose you, Cyndaquil and Ursaring!" Tuesday released the fire mouse and ring bear from their pokeballs. It was May's turn to be shocked this time. "You caught that Ursaring?" May asked in disbelief. "No way!" "Yes, I weakened him with Pichu's Zap Cannon and then caught him!" Tuesday exclaimed. Pichu looked quite proud of it's self. "Your Pichu knows Zap Cannon? Well, I can see that you'll be a worthy opponent." May smiled at Tuesday, who nodded at her. Then, the two of them and Danny switched their focus to the Dunsparce, which were approaching fast. "Ready?" May asked. "Of course. You?" "You can count on it. Croconaw, water gun!" Croconaw used his long range to hit a few of the Dunsparce. The Dunsparce looked annoyed, but kept on swarming. "Might as well help you two air heads out," Danny grumbled, "I choose you!" Danny released his Charizard and Pikachu. "Flame thrower and Thunder bolt!" Charizard and Pikachu released their attacks, which managed to stop a few of the Dunsparce, but they kept on strong. "I have a bad feeling that we're about to be caught between a Dunsparce and a hard place." "Ursaring, umm... Mega punch!" Ursaring just glared at Tuesday, annoyed to be here and annoyed at having a beginer as his trainer. The Dunsparce began to make headway, which annoyed Ursaring even more, so he grudgingly obeyed Tuesday, swinging his mighty fists at the swarming pokemon. He managed to stop a few, but the Dunsparce were almost upon them. "Cyndaquil, Ember!" Tuesday commanded. Cyndaquil released a flurry of embers at the dunsparce, angering the ones up front and causing them to swarm faster. "No good! We need more power," Danny looked at the Dunsparce and saw that none of the shelters were open, "because we're about to be trampled!" Pichu then stepped up and moved it's little finger back and forth, almost as if he was 'tsk-tsking' the trainers. Pichu spoke to Croconaw, who nodded to whatever Pichu had said. Croconaw then released a watergun high above the Dunsparce, causing the water to fall back on the Dunsparce. The drenched Dunsparce were angered and kept their swarming up. Pichu just grinned and released a tiny bolt of electricity at the nearest Dunsparce. The Dunsparce were all touching each other since the swarm is a close-knit group and soon the electricity spread throughout the whole swarm. The water increased the electricity's power and soon the whole swarm had fainted. "Alright, I can catch one now, pokeball, go!" May shouted and caught a big one near the front. "My turn," Tuesday rumaged through her backpack, and then began to panic. "Oh no, I forgot to bring my pokeballs from home!" she exclaimed. "And the shop here doesn't sell pokeballs." Tuesday groaned and swung the backpack over her shoulder, defeated. "Do you have any, Danny? I'll love you forever if you give me one." she clasped her hands in front of her, begging. "Tempting, but no thank you. I don't see the need in a Dunsparce. They aren't particularily strong. Eventually, it'll just end up going to your dad's lab since you will probably replace it." Danny crossed his arms across his chest. "Now, if you found a more suitable pokemon, you can borrow a pokeball from me, but you'll owe me a pokeball in addition to my bike." "Fine, I'll just purchase some in Violet city." Tuesday stood up with a huff. "Dunsparce are really rare. I hope you're happy that you just made me miss the oppertunity of a lifetime!" she shouted. Then she turned to Pichu, "That was incrdible." Pichu waved the compliment away, looking quite smug with himself. OoOoOoOoO "Don't worry about the Dunsparce, we'll have them shipped to the cave near Blackthorn while they recover. It'll be less stressful to them and the town. They'll be perfectly fine," Nurse Joy assured them. The town was cleaning up after the swarm and the Dunsparce were being placed in comfortable transport units. "That's good to hear," Tuesday sighed, glad that the Dunsparce were going to be okay. May, Danny, and May waved good bye to Nurse Joy and began to head down the trail to Violet city. The path soon split into two and May decided to take the path to the caves. "I want to get in some more training with that Dunsparce I caught, and what better way then in it's natural habitat?" "Well, see you soon. I'm going to hurry on to Violet City to get some pokeballs." The two said their goodbyes, seperating at the trails. They walked onward to journey, pokemon, and one mean beedrill.
