An organization known as Contra-Rock is founded by the fugitives from the purge of Pokemon trainers, among them Ash & co. But, a spy is in their midst, perhaps even the elusive Lord Birch, and he is set out to turn them against each other. Note: There are some disturbing scenes involving Drow-Two's psychic abilities and the Pokemon Stadium, adapted for gladiator-like fights between people and Pokemon.

Part 1: The plot's first attempt has failed, so the Fates turn to the other Incarnations of the natural forces. Ash is given a warning by Sabrina's mysterious friend, known only as "The Lady," who is surrounded by the most unlikely events. A confession is made, Jesse and James find new work, and the Lady's identity becomes less of a mystery.
