There used to be three towers in Ecruteak, but that was 3000 years ago. Yes there was the burnt tower and yes there was the tin tower. But there used to be a tower that archaeologists still don’t know about. A tower so ancient, even the oldest living cell on earth can’t be compared with it. It was the pyramid tower. It used to stand watch over the other two towers, making sure the pokemon roosting there did not get in a fight. The two pokemon roosting there were not Lugia or Ho-oh. They were not Sucine or Raoiku or even Entei. They were not Articuno or Moltres or Zapdos. These two were the first pokemon on earth. They were Rathri-the bird of Darkness (dark type) and Lucash- the bird of light (Fire-Grass type). They were bitter enemies and they fought every single time they saw each other. But they had 1 desire in common. To destroy the most powerful pokemon on earth that kept watch over them from the pyramid tower- A pokemon so mysterious that the even its name is not known today. So Rathri and Lucash ganged up and destroyed the pyramid tower with a devastating explosion by joining their special attacks-an explosion so powerful, that they perished with the tower. But did they destroy the mysterious pokemon that lived in the pyramid tower? Or is the pokemon still living? Researchers and archaeologists have discovered under the Ecruteak pokemon center a slab that contains a code. Probably just a hoax they think. A trick. But they are wrong. Only one boy could break the code. And he was taking a detour to Viridian city.

" Julius time to wake up!" shouted Mrs. Raven. "That boy- He starts his journey today and he still hasn’t gotten up" She climbed up the stairs to Julius’ room-only to find the bed empty and a note on the bed. "Hey Mom! Got up early to start my journey! I am on my way to Viridian city. I’ll visit don’t worry. Bye!!

Julius Raven was a water and ice type trainer from a town so small it was not even on the maps. The town was located between Silver Cave and Viridian city. A town with a very inappropriate name--- City town.

He had only one pokemon with him now- Europa- his Lapras. He had Europa ever since he was five. It had been 8 years since he had got it. Raven was tall and slim with messy black hair and brown eyes. This day he was wearing a gray sweatshirt with a tear drop printed on it and a pair of black pants. He was walking with his best friend Brad who was a little stockier and shorter than him. " Remind me" said Raven in a very cold voice. " Why are we taking the detour again?"

" To get electric pokemon! Now shut up!"

" There wont be any pokemon here. They’ll take one look at your face and run away"

"Oh yeah?? Then why is that Flaaffy following me??"

"GO! Natu!" He shouted. The little round bird came out of its pokeball and shouted in syllables " Na-tu"

"Fllllllaaaaaaaafffff" screamed Flaafy and ran to Brad and clung on to his leg.

"Oh! You want to come with me?" The silly pink thing nodded. " OK. Return" said Brad

"Can we go now?? The normal route to Viridian?? I need water or ice pokemon and they are not here!" I whined.

" Spoilsport!!" Brad said and turned around muttering and they both headed towards Viridian city.
