THE ONLY ONES SENDING ME E-MAILS***

--- Present Day, Near Ruins of Alph, Johto 12P.M (Kanto, 12 AM)

" Hey, Dad! Look what I found!" shouted Kyle. Kyle Eusine was ten years old. Currently, he was exploring the Ruins with his dad, Eusine. Eusine was the biggest fan of the legendary water dog, Suicune. He knew everything about it: its birth, its attacks, what it eats, its habitat and he even memorized the "DNA pattern" he had supposedly discovered about a year ago. "What did you find?" asked Eusine walking towards Kyle. Eusines mouth dropped open as he saw what his son was pointing at. It was a small pool of water but it was not the water that surprised him. It was what was IN the water: An ancient slab of rock with a inscription on it. The letters glowed in an aura of gold and yellow. The language was familiar, yet it looked ancient: The letters were rounded and looked like pokemon.

"Kyle! Don’t go near it!" said Eusine to Kyle, who was walking towards the rock.

"You worry too much Dad!" said Kyle and walked on.

"Kyle! Come back!" Eusine said and ran after Kyle, but he was too late. Kyle had touched the rock. As soon as he had touched it, the whole rock turned gold. Slowly, the rock moved aside, revealing a small hole. The water started to turn gold and glowed the seven colours of the rainbow. It was like a dewgong’s aurora beam. And then it happened. Form out of the hole, came a ray of golden light. The ray grew bigger and bigger and as it grew big, it also grew brighter. Now, it was like a dome of golden light. "What did I do?" cried Kyle. Now from each letter of the rock, came several small beams of light. They all united up in the air and formed a silhouette of a bird. A large and tall bird. Its body appeared to glow, not unlike the golden dome. It screeched. "LLLLUUUUCCCCAAASSSSHHHHAAAA" and unleashed a huge ball of energy from its mouth. Kyle’s last words to his dad’s were "I’m sorry Dad" and Eusine’s last words were "The legend is true… Lucas…Lucasha…"

It had been two days since Karen and Brad revealed their secret. Rainer and I were just wandering outside Cerulean, not knowing where to go. Rainer kept trying to cheer me up but to no avail. How? Karen and I were perfect for each other… She chose Brad over ME? "I’ll show them…" I said to myself "I’ll become the greatest water type trainer in the world!"

Rainer and I were at a fork in the road. The sign beside them said "Leftà Rock tunnel" and another sign read " Right,ß City of Pearls"

"What road should we take?" asked Rainer. "I do NOT want to go thru Rock tunnel." I said "AND City of Pearls sounds like it actually has water types in it!" "That’s true…" said Rainer "We’ll go right then…"

"You Idiot! Don’t you even know how to battle?"

"Did you hear that?" I asked Rainer

"Yeah. It came from behind the bushes there" replied Rainer, pointing to his right.

"Let’s go and see what’s going on!" I said and walked towards the bushes, with Rainer following me.

I couldn’t believe what I was seeing. Two boys were beating up a sneasel with their geodude! The sneasel was helpless because it was weak to rock. This Sneasel was different. Instead of the usual pink or green spikes they had on their backs, this one had gold!

"Europa! Go!" I shouted, loud enough that the boys cold hear. The sneasel came running to me and hid behind me.

"You wanna battle huh?" shouted the first boy, who seemed to be in charge of the other boy. "How about two on two match? Winner gets a TM and that asshole"

"Fine with me" I said

"GO! Arbok!" shouted the boy calling out the giant snake. I pointed my pokedex at it. * Arbok- The Cobra pokemon- Each Arbok has a unique warning sign on its neck. The brighter the colours are, the more dangeroud the species is.*

"Arbok! Poison- Sting!" shouted the boy.

"Europa!" I shouted "Freeze the stingers with ice-beam!"

Lapras let out an enormous ice beam, that froze the poison barbs. Because of their newly gained weight, the poison barbs just fell down.

"Europa! SING" I said, covering my ears, but so did everybody but the arbok. It fell asleep.

"Return Arbok" said the Boy. "Lets see if you can handle… Chinchou!"

The ugly blue water-electric type came out of its pokeball. It looked like it had been starved.

"Now its MY turn" said Rainer and released Quagmire.

The Boy apparently did not know that Quagsires were part ground types and issued a spark attack. Obviously, it had no effect on Quagmire. Quagmire finished the Chinchou of with dig.

"I LOST" yelled the idiot and ran off crying, dropping his backpack.

"Do you want to come with us Sneasel?" I asked Sneasel. It simply nodded. "How about I call you Charon?" I asked Sneasel "Its it’s the name of Pluto’s moon"

"SneaSEL" said Charon, nodding in a very shrill voice.

"Okay, then. RETURN" I said to Charon, holding out one of my pokeballs. It dematerialized and went into its pokeball.

"Lets see what’s in the backpack!" Rainer said, holding the backpack in his hands.

"Right…" I said almost forgetting about the backpack " But lets make a deal. You get all the pokemon or the pokeballs and I get the items or the TMs.

"Okay" said Rainer and opened up the Backpack. There were 3 pokeballs, some candy bars, a charmander doll, a ‘How to teach TM’s to your pokemon" book, two TMs and something that looked like a crystal ring you attach to your wrist-sort of like my pokedex-- with engraving on it. I picked he ring-thing up and read the engraving: " POKEMON SPEECH TRANSLATOR. LISTEN WHAT UR POKEMON SAY!"

"COOL!" I said and wore it on my wrist.

"Let’s try it out!" said Rainer and called his Quagsire.

"I was sleeping. What’s the matter Rainer?" asked Quagmire in its normal sleepy voice. It WORKED!!!!!

The pokemon inside the pokeballs were a shellder, a chinchou and a Noctowl. Rainer decided to keep shellder and chinchou and he sent the Noctowl to his gym’s PC. The pokemon he had so far were Gyrados, Horner (Dewgong), Plesia (Lapras), Quagmire, Spark (Chinchou) and Shellder. There turned out to be only one TM as the other was a HM. The TM was ice-beam and the HM was Surf. I was trying to learn how to teach a pokemon a TM with the help of the book. The book was explaining how a TM works. I used to think that you just open up the vial the TM was enclosed in and fed your pokemon the selected liquid and POOF! They knew the TM. But I was wrong. It turned out that as soon as you fed the liquid to your pokemon, the liquid spreads out and goes to the brain. As soon as its in the brain, it enters the biggest brain cell through the cell membrane. And then it goes inside the nucleus and deletes the move the pokemon wants to forget. (NOT the trainer. The trainer can tell the pokemon what move to forget) The moves are stored in the DNA and the TM takes the place of the old move. I was debating what pokemon to teach ice beam to: Poseidon, Artemis or Charon. After about fifteen minutes, I decided to save the TM but I taught Surf to all of my pokemon. The pokemon I was currently training was Charon, because all of my other Pokemon were in level 25’s or 30’s but Charon’s level was only 15.

"Do you want to continue now?" I asked Rainer. It turned out that Rainer had a translator attached to hs pokedex.

"Sure!" said Rainer and we walked on, the long and winding road stretched before us.

PROFFESOR OAK’S LAB.

The telephone rang. "Hello. How may I help you?" answered Professor Oak. The look on his face changed. "You ARE kidding right? NO? What channel? 8? OK. Bye"

Prof. Oak turned on the TV. His jaw dropped open at what he was seeing.

"I am here in the Ruins of Alph where two mysterious events have taken place. One happened in a temple

where two scientists were working. They seemed to have found a secret passage and they probably entered it, only to be slashed apart by sharp claws of an unknown pokemon. Another was just outside of the ruins of Alph where the famous pokemon researcher, Eusine and his son Kyle, were found dead in a pool of water. What’s more mysterious is that strange writing has been found in the walls of the temples. There are only three words repeated over and over again: Dark and Light and the third word is of an unknown language. Here is a picture:"

Professor Oak turned off the TV and walked to the videophone and called Bill in Ecruteak city.
