See what I me-"bulbasur!" that's great Bulbasur, but I'm bus-"cha cha chamander!" Okay! Sheesh! "Pikachu!!" gyahhhhhhhhh! *Burned to toast* Wish Granted Chapter 4: Ah-ha! Brock has been on the computer looking up herbs and cures for sleeping pokemon. He even dived through piles of books; this has carried on for the past two days. Suddenly out of nowhere popped up the answer he has been searching for. "AH-HA!" Brock says at the top of his lungs, crying tears of happiness. "Finally, after two days of hard searching, I got the answer to all our problems!" "That's great, Brock. But it's three in the frickin' morning!" Misty peers out form her room. "Get some sleep, you been up for two days." "B-but…" "Tell later. Sleep now. Night." Misty slams the door leaving Brock standing mouth open. Meanwhile, somewhere else in the house lays peacefully snoring are the Ketchum's. *** "A what?!" Ash, Misty, Ky, and Mrs. Ketchum cried out in unison. "Kuya tail." Brock says proud as a rock. "It brings back memories, and tastes so bad it can wake anything, even the dead. All we have to do is get some of this Kuya tail and give it to Pikachu and Ky." "Doesn't sound too promising." Misty mutters, upset at the fact of lost sleep. "That's great! I'll get Dexter to tell me what pokemon that is." Ash dashes up the stair, tossing through his stuff. "Ash come back down here! It's not a Pokemon!" Brock calls. Ash comes tumbling down the stairs. "It's not?" "Nope. It's a herb!" Brock points to a picture of a yellow flower. "Umm…Brock if you didn't notice…"Misty points outside, "BUT IT'S SNOWING OUTSUDE!" "That's a good thing!" Brock shouts, while Ash and Misty thinking that he lost it to the loss of sleep. "This herb only grows in Mt. Pika Promise during the winter!" "GREAT! Let's go!" Ash hops ready to go. "Wait right there, young man. It's cold out there and your not prepare to go yet. Beside don't you know that the plant disappears after Christmas?" Ash's mom says as she tries to hold him back. "Then we must hurry!" Ash somehow slips through his mom and practically marching out the door in his pj's. "Don't you know that most travelers got lost or froze to death at Mt. Pika Promise?" Thoughts of Ash-icles stops Ash mid-way out of the door. "Wow, Mrs. Ketchum. You sure know a lot about Mt. Pika Promise." Misty commented. "Of course! I'm a mom, I'm suppose to know about places that my son is heading for." Mrs. Ketchum pointed out proudly, as everyone else sweatdrop. *** In a matter of minutes the group headed south for Mt. Pika Promise, covered in layers of clothes. Pikachu was left behind for it was too cold to take him along. Ky, instead, took his place. They traveled fast, before long they were lost among the frosty hills. Misty was too cold to even yell out at Ash, but her flushed face shows it. "Hey, Misty, you okay?" Ash asked out of curiosity. "You don't look too good." "I would be better if someone didn't get us lo-" Misty's eyes blurred as she fell into the cushion of snow. "Misty!" Ash and Ky both jumped to her side. Misty gives no response. "We're gonna hafta carry her to carry her." Brock slurs his words. Ash quickly tosses his pack at Ky. "Carry my stuff as I carry Misty on my back." "O-okay." Ky toss Ash's pack on his own. Misty…I'm sorry I can't do anything for you. Hang on Misty. We'll find shelter soon. This is my entire fault for getting us lost. I'm sorry. Out in the distant, smoke puffs. "Look!" Ky points to the cabin Quickly everyone ran towards the site. A little blue hair girl opens the door. "Please help us!" Ash cries. "Less talking and more walking. The girl can rest here." A door opens, and Ash set Misty in the bed, between the covers. Her breaths coming in short, puffing and grasping for air. "She's going to be okay, only a fever from stress." The girl says after checking on Misty. "Thank you so much!" Ky says, relive about Misty. "It's nothing." "So do you live here by yourself?" Ash looks around. The place was bear expect for doors to unknown rooms. No way a little eight years old girl lives here by herself. "Yes, my name is Sana and this is my house." Sana hands everyone a cup of hot chocolate. "No way can that be possible!" Ash exclaimed. "Where do you get food?" "The kitchen!" Sana smiles sweetly. "Oh." Ash always had his mom to depend on until he left to become a pokemon trainer. "Well, my name is Ash Ketchum and this is Brock." "That's amazing." Brock says looking around. "I'm going to check on Misty." Ky enters into Misty's room. "Seems like Ky's stuck on Misty. I wonder how Misty feels." Brock looks at the close door. "Ash, if you don't hurry, you'll lose her." "What do you mean by that?" Ash yells, turning a shade of red. "You better keep an eye out for her." Sana piped from behind. "Eh?!" Ash and Brock turns and look at her. "Nevermind that…so what brings you guys here?" "We're looking for the Kuya Tail." Brock holds up poster size picture, "Do you know where it is?" "Mt. Pika Promise in the opposite direction you were heading." Sana says a little too happy. "What?!" Ash screams. "Darn it, and we walked for so long too. Misty even fell ill for this." "But there's one exception." Sana piped again. "What?" "Kuya tail is also in the Pika Shrine up that way a little." Sana points east, out the window. "That's great!" Ash whooped. "We'll go get it right away!" "Why don't you rest? It's been a long journey, rest and regain your health." Sana's childish eyes fogged over. "And beside I just finish making dinner!" In the kitchen flows a mouthwatering odor. On the table is no small meal, more or less it was a feast. Complete with steaming mush potatoes, dripping gravy, roasted turkey, juicy ham, fresh chowder, and a bottle of apple cider ^_^. All that Ash can do is keep from making a pool of drool, Brock struggle from making his eyes from popping out of his head. "Is this a dream? If so don't wake me…"Ash and Brock sat down. "I won't…"Brock settles. "I'll check on your friends." Sana exits just when the hungry duo dives in. Enjoy… *** "Ash…"Misty mumbles in her dreams. Ky sat by her side, gazing down at her. Even in your dreams you call out to him. She doesn't need me, no one does. I'm just a burden to everyone…if only I can help…in some way. I'll do it...I wish she'll call my name just once. "Ky." "Huh?" Ky jumps expecting Misty to be awake. Instead, to his disappointment, is Sana. "Umm…how do you know my name?" "Your friends told me." Sana lied. "Oh." "What's this girl's name?" "Misty." "I see…do you like her?" "What?! Well, um…you see…er…she's a really, really, really, really…"Each word makes Ky feel smaller and smaller. "Really, really good friend. I-I'm just worried about her. That's all." "Right." Sana replies, eyes flashing. "Just keep true to your feelings." "Huh?" Ky looked up in surprise that a child can says such things. "Dinner's ready, or what's left of it." *** "Ash!" Misty struggles around in the bleak storm. "Where are you? Ash!" Tears stink her eyes as Misty cries. "Ash, where are you?" She wonders in circles as the wind wheeze by her. "Ash, help me!" A light in the distant caught her eyes, sparking hope within her. She runs towards it, her legs feeling like water. As nears the light, her leg gives out. With all her might, she pushes to get up, only to fall back down. Altogether, she gives up, drawing her knees up to her chest. Weeping as she looks at the far off light. "Ash help me…I'm really, really scare. Please, Ash." ~*Wow the longest chapter yet!
