Prologue Ages and Characters: Ash- 13 Misty-13 Brock-15 May- 12 Max-7 Prologue “I’m here live at the Indigo Platue. This is Reporter Victoria live at breaking and tragic news. Our story begins with an evil plan that went a little too far to begin with. A plan made by the evil Team Rocket. As you can see behind me, our beloved stadium is up in flames. Not far away our other reporter, Molly, is now in Pewter City were after visiting Cerulean, Cinnabar, Celadon, Fuchsia, Vermilion, and Saffron is also undergoing the same thing. Our contest halls are too. Now the Squirtle Squad is helping out to put out the fire which they only have this one and the one in Pewter left.” Few minutes pass. “It seems the fire in Pewter is out, but this one just won’t stop! What will happen to-“ “Staryu, Politoed, use your water gun!” “What’s this? It seems Cerulean Gym leader Misty is helping out with the fire! Quick John get a close up!” “Alright, Azurill, you know what to do.” “Azurill!” “It seems Azurill has jumped into the fire, but why?” Inside the fire Azurill listen for voices. “Azu? (What’s that?)” “Keep it up Marshtop!” “You too Squirtle!” “Come on, Corphish! You can do it!” “Pika pika!” “Azurill!” Azurill follows Ash’s voice. She then sees that she can only find his friends and sends them to the entrance. Outside everyone watches the fire. “Look! Three children are coming out of the fire. It seems Misty knows them, but what happen to Azurill? I just got note that one child is still inside. Huh? Where is Misty going? Oh, my, she ran into the fire. What is going on here?” Back inside the burning stadium. “Ash! Where are you? Azurill! Answer me! *Cough cough*” “AZURILL! (MOM!)” “PIKACHU! (MISTY WE’RE OVER HERE!) ” Misty hears the Pokémon cry for help. She then finds Ash collapse on the ground. The Pokémon crowded around him. She calls to them and they hurry over only to be block by a burning part of the stadium. Azurill uses water gun to hold it off long enough for Misty to get over to them and get Ash. They rush out to fresh air. “Misty is back out of the fire folks! She seems to have gotten the last child out who seemed to breathe in a lot of smoke. He’s out like a light right now, but the Ambulance say she got him out just in time. Well, folks. I say Misty is a hero today. The child is going to be fine and doesn’t seem to need to go to the hospital at all. Molly also gave note that Team Rocket has been captured. For now,” Ash, suddenly open his eyes. The first thing he sees is the person he thought he’d never see again. Misty. He opened his mouth to speak, but coughs instead. Misty then put a finger on his lips. “You’re going to be fine, Ash, “she whispered. Ash looks at the rest of his friends.”What where’s the little girl?” “Girl?” “Amy! She’s still in there! I gotta go- *cough cough*” “Ash, take it easy,” said May.”You collapsed while you were in there. Just to let you know she’s safe,” Ash nodded in response.”Thank you, Misty. We could have done it without you,” “Just glad I can help,” Just then a rush of reporters run up to them. All ask questions about life story, what brought them to help, who they were, and that other stuff came to them. The interviews finally came to an end. Misty returned home to check on her sister since she left in a time of need. May and Max were finishing backing their bags for the journey home. Brock was phoning his folks to let him know of his return. Ash let out a sigh. All was coming to an end. Now none of his friends had anything worth living for. He watched as sunset soon arrived and knew with a heavy heart it was time for good-byes. ********************************************************************************** “Well it looks like the end of our journey,” said Brock. “Yeah….will we see each other again?” asked Max. “Of course we will! Right, Ash?” Ash didn’t reply. He thought about time when he his journey first ended. He thought he never would see his friends again, and thought that now. Why is life so unfair? “Ash!” May yelled. “Huh? Of course we will Max!” Ash answered half hearted. I doubt it though. Thanks to Team Rocket there won’t be any more Pokémon Leagues, Gym Battles, and Contests. Misty even isn’t here to say good-bye, but at least Team Rocket is finished. Not for good I believe, but for at least 16 years that they all will have to adapt to normal life. As normal people. “Well, bye,” said Brock as he turned to leave. “Bye, “said May and Max in unison as they too left. “Bye,” murmured Ash. “Pika pikachu,” said Pikachu trying to comfort Ash when their friend were dots in the distance, but it didn’t help. “I know I’ll come up with a new hobby!” Ash then started to run and begin the trek home.
