Personality: Very proud of her ninja skills, Ruby could be clasified as a show-off to start with. However, it only runs skin deep. She dedicates herself fully to whatever task she sets herself, but can't stand being ordered to do something she doesn't want to. Her adventurous personality frequently ends up with her fighting her way out of things, however, and she has a bad knack for making the wrong sort of friends.
Character's history: Selected by the government at a young age, Ruby was trained to be a kunoichi. She was a very adept pupil, a sort of 'teacher's pet'. However, soon after she turned thirteen the masters discovered that it was all an act; Ruby was not dedicated to the cause in any way, shape or form. In reality, she had been training for her own causes, own desires. In the end it was decided that that she couldn't be trained any longer and Ruby was thrown out of the ninja order. Not too long after she discovered that there had been a death mark placed on her head ---they couldn't exactly have a trained assassin gone rogue out on the streets--- and she fled the country, never to return.
She later lived in Kanto, discovering the power of these creatures known as 'Pokèmon' through constant contact with them. During a trip to Janera she was lost in the extensive Raz-ka desert and found herself forced to kill a Lavapard to gain the food needed to survive, despite the fact that it was a mother of two. She was amazed at the strength and courage of all three and decided to take the stronger cub in with the thought of winning some money with it back in Kanto, where such a beast had never before been seen. Although it was at first nothing more than a tool, Ruby found herself becoming more and more attached to her Volava and eventually caught a few other Pokèmon, all fire type.
