Mario's Notes:

This chapter will focus on the rematch between Ash and Giselle. It has been 7 years since they fought and Giselle is looking for redemption!! Thinking that Ash has become a bit rusty from his F1 career, Giselle thinks she has the advantage due to her graduating Pokémon Tech. Can that give her the edge? Well, read on!

Ash Ketchum: Formula One Driver
Chapter 25: Ash Vs. Giselle: The Rematch!!

If Ash or Keith are challenged to a Pokémon battle, well... I say, let them fight!!! Besides, these Pokémon Battles help improve our ratings during a Grand Prix weekend. And the fans get a good kick out of it. Now I know why Pokémon battles are the norm over in Japan. I might consider having some drivers catch and raise Pokemon.

One of Bernie Ecclestone's quotes to a London newspaper, asking him about having Pokémon battles during Grand Prix weekends.

All of the team members of every F1 team stopped working on the cars and tried to find the best spot to view the battle. The challenge was made. Ash and Giselle walked onto the start/finish straight for their long awaited rematch. The top student at Pokémon Tech against a Pokémon trainer turned Formula One driver. A very popular Formula One driver at that.

"How about this, Ash. We'll battle with four Pokémon. Anything goes. Is that alright with you, Mr. Formula One?" Giselle asked. Her battle spot was located at starting grid position #16. Ash's place was at the start/finish line. Already, most of the team members were crowding the pit wall for a gander at the upcoming match. Every one of them knew that Ash was a good Pokémon trainer and they just loved to see a Pokémon battle.

"Fine with me. Show me what you've got, Giselle!!" Ash said as Pikachu, Meowth and Eevee were ready to do battle and so was Giselle. She grabbed a Poké Ball from one of the pockets on her light jacket she was wearing. Before Giselle threw out her first Poké Ball to start the match, some jackass had to get involved in Ash's fight. And this jackass was Ash's own teammate. One Allan McNish.

"No way, Ash!! This is my fight!!! I'll show her that F1 drivers can become great Pokémon trainers!!" McNish yelled out as he shoved Ash out of the way and reached into his pocket for his Poké Balls.

"ALLAN!! This is my fight!! Get the hell out of here, damn you!! You are not a Pokémon trainer!!" Ash yelled at his teammate. Usually, Allan McNish is the mature one of the Toyota team, but since he caught Dratini, he's been acting like he's the greatest trainer ever. He won't get a chance to battle because Allan left his Pokémon back in the hotel. He checked every pocket his Toyota racing suit had and panicked when he figured out he forget them in his room.

"WAAAA!! I don't have my Pokémon!!!" He yelled out. The team members started to crack up laughing as Allan ran into the Toyota garage to hide himself from further humiliation. Giselle thought this was very amusing, seeing an F1 driver lose track of his Pokémon. She turned her attention back to Ash.

"So, Ash. Why don't we forget about this loser and start our match." Giselle said,

"Sure thing, Giselle!! Go, Meowth!!" Ash yelled out and Meowth was the first for Ash's team. He extended his sharp and powerful claws for all to see.

"I got just the Pokémon to take out a Normal Pokémon. Go, Tyrogue." Giselle said as she threw out a Poké Ball onto the track and in a flash of red light, the Fighting Pokémon Tyrogue appeared ready to fight.

"Oh, crap. Tyrogue's a Fighting Pokémon and he'll have the advantage. What should I do, Ash?" Meowth asked,

"Wait for my command, Meowth. You're faster than Tyrogue and have learned some new tricks, thanks to me." Ash said smugly as Tyrogue continued its charge for Meowth,

"Tyrogue, use Hi Jump Kick and knock Ash's talking cat out cold!!" Giselle ordered,

"Agility, now!!" Ash yelled out. Tyrogue's kick missed as Meowth suddenly disappeared and appeared in the pit wall. Tyrogue let loose a fury of punches and Meowth was missing each one. "Use Shadow Ball, Meowth!!!" Ash yelled out. Meowth started to develop this ghastly looking ball of energy in his hands. Moments later, Meowth let loose Shadow Ball, knocking Tyrogue to the ground.

"I guess I was wrong, thinking you were a bit rusty. You've improved a lot. Now, let me show you how much I've improved!! Use Double Team to increase your evasion, Tyrogue!!" Giselle said and Ash and Meowth were seeing 4 Tyrogues in front of them.

"Use Pay Day, Meowth!! With that, we'll at least get rid of the others!!" Ash yelled out. Meowth tossed out a big chunk of change from the lucky charm on Meowth's forehead at the Tyrogue group. Each batch of coins missed each one until the real Tyrogue appeared, poised to attack.

"Now, Tyrogue!! Use Headbutt!!" Giselle said. Her Tyrogue broke from the pack at high speed and nailed Meowth hard with its own head. The cat Pokémon stumbled around for a few seconds after the hit.

"Did somebody get the number of that Jaguar?" Meowth asked in a dazed tone of voice. The hit was so hard that Meowth was a bit confused and didn't know where he was.

"Now, finish him off with Hi Jump Kick!!" Giselle said as Tyrogue leaped in the air to Knock Meowth on his keister. Meowth finally regained his scenes and was ready to counter.

"Meowth, Thunderbolt!!!" Ash yelled out as Meowth finally came to. The cat Pokémon summoned a good chunk of static electric and delivered a bolt of lighting, which could power a small town for a few hours.

"What?!! Meowths can learn Thunderbolt?!!" Giselle asked surprised, as she watched her Tyrogue get hit with a bolt of lighting right in mid air and fell hard on the pavement.

"That's right, Giselle. I met this guy at Suzuka in 2004 and he made Meowth learn Thunderbolt. He even charged me half off." Ash said as Tyrogue was smoking from the electric charge, "Now, Meowth... finish him off with Fury Swipes!!" Ash yelled out and Meowth charged at the fighting Pokémon, let loose his claws and slashed Tyrogue at high speed.

"No way!! Tyrogue should have beaten your Meowth in no time!! Fighting types are more powerful than Normal types." Giselle said as she watched Tyrogue fall to the ground after being slashed to hell and back from Meowth.

"Well, lady. I'm not your ordinary Meowth." Meowth said as he did a little victory pose. Giselle laughed a bit as she recalled her beaten Tyrogue. Seconds later, she was all business.

"Fine then. Let's see you handle my new Typhlosion. I raised this one from a little egg last year." Giselle said as she let loose her 2nd Pokémon. A mean looking and powerful Typhlosion, the fully evolved form of Cyndaquil, appeared ready to fight. Ash decided to fight fire with fire.

"Hey, Charizard. It's go time!!" Ash yelled out as he tossed Charizard's Poké Ball and the giant Fire/Flying Pokémon landed on the ground, hankering for a fight.

[About time!! I was looking for a good fight!!] Charizard said as he tried to intimidate the Typhlosion with a powerful Flamethrower. Instead, Typhlosion attacked Charizard with Fury Swipes. Then, the Fire Pokémon used Dizzy Punch on Charizard, nearly knocking Ash's powerful Pokémon out with one punch. Charizard shook out the cobwebs and caught Typhlosion's Fire Punch.

"All right, Charizard! Use Submission!!" Ash said. Charizard started to pull hard on Typhlosion's arm, but the Fire Pokémon used Smokescreen to get out of Charizard's hold. Seconds later, Typhlosion used Dynamic Punch and seems like the Pokémon gods were nice to Giselle right now and Charizard went face first to the ground after the devastating hit, he became confused.

"Way to go, Typhlosion!!" Giselle yelled out cheerfully as Typhlosion gloated a bit, watching Charizard stumble around.

[Come on, Ash! I can take all of them on! It's only 10,000 of them!!] Charizard said dazed as he moved around like a drunken marionette,

"This doesn't look good." Ash said as he watched Charizard slash around himself in a dizzy rage. Typhlosion decided to end this and used another Dizzy Punch on Charizard.

"OWW!! That hurts, you buttlicker!!!" Instead of Charizard using the normal Pokémon language that hit from Typhlosion knocked something loose in Charizard's psyche that enables a Pokémon to speak in human. The crowd gasped, Giselle looked surprised and Ash's jaw dropped to the ground anime style after Charizard's first sentence in the human language. Charizard looked at the crowd for a second.

"What?!! Did I do something?!!! Haven't you people ever heard of a Pokémon talk before?" Charizard asked,

"Hey, Charizard!! That's my job!!! I'm the only talking Pokémon around here!!" A tired out Meowth yelled out from the sidelines. He's supposed to be the only Pokémon that can talk. Now Charizard's making his talking debut.

"Well, looks like I'm talking your place, Mewoth." Charizard said,

"Now I've seen it all... a talking Charizard. Oh, well. Typhlosion, use Dynamic Punch!!" Giselle said and Typholsion charged at Charizard, ready to deliver the knockout punch.

"Not this time!!" Charizard said as he sidestepped the punch and kicked Typhlosion hard in the stomach. The Fire Pokémon recovered from that hit and soon, the two giant Pokémon were going at it like Hockey players. Both Charizard and Typhlosion both nailed each other with devastating right hand punches in a contest to see which Pokémon would be left standing. All signs pointed to Typhlosion, but Charizard put the evolved form of Cyndaquil to the pavement, talking about some pretty stars. The score was Ash 2, Giselle 0.

"All right!! Kick ass, Charizard!!!" Ash said as he recalled Charizard into his Poké Ball. Giselle recalled Typhlosion and tossed out her 3rd Pokémon.

"Alright, Ash!! Here's another Pokémon I bred from an egg. Go, Houndour!!!" Giselle said as she tossed out her 3rd Pokémon. Houndour was a Dark/Fire Pokémon and a really intimidating Pokémon at that.

"The lights are out, Eevee!! Let's get some more experience for you!!" Ash said and he expected Eevee to appear to battle. Instead, Eevee was showing Ash affection by rubbing its head against his leg. Just like what Chikorita did before she evolved into Bayleef. Seems like Eevee has become very fond of Ash. "Not now, Eevee. You got to battle." Ash said and Eevee got all serious for the fight. The odds were with Houndour, but Ash believed that Eevee could beat Giselle's breeded Pokémon. All the teams stopped working of the cars and were now watching the battle from the monitors in the garages and on pit wall.

"Use Quick Attack!!!" Ash ordered,

"Counter it!!" Giselle yelled out. As soon as Eevee nailed Houndour with Quick Attack, Houndour too the hit and slammed Eevee to the ground hard. The smaller Pokémon got the raw end of the deal. After shaking off the after effects, Eevee was ready. But Ash was now thinking that having Eevee battle was too much.

"I'm letting you sit this one out, Eevee. Giselle's Houndour is too powerful for you." Ash said as he got Bayleef's Poké Ball ready.

[No!! I can beat it!!] Eevee said weakly as it slowly got back up on its feet. Suddenly, the small Pokémon used Rage Attack and with all of its pent up frustration, delivered a devastating hit on Houndour. Giselle was about to lose her 3rd match and she had to do something fast.

"Sunny Day!!!" Giselle ordered,

Damn it! I forgot that Pokémon hatched from an egg can learn more moves than normal. I got to get Eevee to be on the defensive. Ash thought as Eevee waited for the next command. "Use Swift attack!!" Ash yelled out. Eevee let loose Swift and Houndour took some damage, but not enough to knock Houndour out. Now that Giselle has Sunny Day in play, she decided to end this battle and put Ash's little Eevee out of commission.

"Use Solar Beam, Houndour!! Since you used Sunny Day, there is no need to charge it up." Giselle said,

"Oh, shit!! She's right!! Eevee, run!!!" Ash panicked as Eevee ran for anywhere to miss Solar Beam. Houndour fired the powerful Grass Beam and most of the Beam hit Eevee. Looked like Eevee was down for good.

"This round is over, Ash." Giselle said as she petted Houndour for a job well done. Ash on the other hand, ran to Eevee's side and found the small Pokémon still trying to fight.

"Come on, Eevee. That's enough. It's my mistake for putting you in a major battle without more training." Ash said as he tried to pick up Eevee, but the small Pokémon refused. Eevee was about to collapse, but it wasn't feeling too hot.

[I don't feel so good. I feel so out of it. Huh? What's this new warm sensation?] Eevee asked itself. All of a sudden, the small Pokémon was glowing white. The crowd watched in awe as Ash's Eevee evolved through its friendship bond with Ash. Moments later, everybody was introduced to Ash's brand new Pokémon, Espeon. The psychic evolution of Eevee.

"Alright!! I've always wanted an Espeon!!!" Ash said as Espeon looked up to see its new master,

[Well, hello to you too Master. I'm a bit weak.] Espeon said as the Psychic Pokémon struggled to stay on its feet. Ash grinned a bit. Since Eevee evolved into Espeon during the day, Ash's new Pokémon knows a bunch of brand new moves. One of which can restore all of its lost energy if Sunny Day was in play.

Ash's new Espeon knows Morning Sun!!! Oh, no!!! Giselle started to panic, she ordered Houndour to use Sunny Day to charge up Solar Beam real fast. Now that Eevee has evolved into Espeon due to Eevee's trust in Ash, Morning Sun will recharge all of Espeon's lost health. A miscalculation on Giselle's part and Ash took advantage!!

"Use Morning Sun to recharge your health, Espeon!!!" Ash ordered. Espeon started to take in the sunlight and that of Sunny Day to recharge all of its lost health.

"My Houndour has the type advantage against your new Espeon, Ash. Dark moves are effective against Psychic Pokémon." Giselle said,

"I know that. I've dug myself out of bigger holes than this. And I'm not giving up!" Ash said confidently. Giselle realized that Ash wouldn't take defeat light, so she had to act.

"Alright, Ash. You're asking for it. Solar Beam!!" Giselle ordered and Houndour shot out another blast of Solar Beam. With Sunny Day the Dark/Fire Pokémon didn't need to recharge.

"Counter Solar Beam with Hyper Beam, Espeon!!!" Ash yelled out. Since Sunny Day is still in play for 2 more turns, Houndour still has the edge, but Espeon's Morning Sun will still recover all of Espeon's lost health. The two powerful beams collided in a giant flash of light, but Hyper Beam broke through and nailed Houndour. However, since Solar Beam weakened Hyper Beam by a great deal, Houndour was still able to fight, but just barely. Espeon was drained of energy and was defenseless.

"Time to end this!! Use whatever move you like, Houndour!!" Giselle said and Houndour nodded. The Dark Pokémon charged at Espeon and used the Dark move, Crunch. A super effective move on Psychic Pokémon. Espeon cried out from the pain and nearly fainted, but stood tough for Ash. Both Pokémon were nearly out of health and one final move would end this. And Sunny Day would end after this turn, still giving the edge to Giselle.

"Sunny Day's almost up, Houndour. Solar Beam!!" Giselle ordered and Houndour got Solar Beam ready to fire,

"MORNING SUN!!!" Ash yelled out, knowing that which ever Pokémon has the faster speed rating would prevail. Lucky for Ash, Espeon was faster and used Morning Sun to recover its health before Solar Beam hit Espeon head on. Giselle looked on as Espeon was still standing from the blast. She had to end this battle now!!

"Use Crunch again!!" Giselle ordered, but Ash was once again fast on the draw.

"End this with Quick Attack!!" Ash yelled out. Since Quick Attack always let the Pokémon that uses it attack first, Houndour was critically hit and that was all she wrote as Houndour fell. Espeon was victorious after a grueling battle. Giselle recalled Houndour, proud of her Pokémon for putting up a good fight.

"Alright, Ash. Let's see you deal with my last Pokémon. Go, Marowak!!" Giselle said as he tossed the Poké Ball in the air. Suddenly, her long time Pokémon partner Marowak, appeared itching for a fight. This is actually the same Pokémon that Ash battled 7 years ago.

"Here goes nothing. Go, Bayleef!!!" Ash said as he tossed his Poké Ball out and Bayleef appeared, ready to fight. This was the last battle. If Bayleef could beat Marowak, Ash will be the winner. But Giselle isn't going to make it easy for him.

"Use Bone Club!!" Giselle ordered. Marowak chucked his giant weapon at Bayleef and nailed her right in the head. Bayleef was dazed for a second before she let loose Razor Leaf against Marowak. Since Ash has a lot of trust in Bayleef, he decided to let her fight it out. He'll intervene when he needs to. The razor leafs nailed Marowak, knocking the big Pokémon to the ground. Seconds later, Marowak got back up and used Bonemerang on Bayleef. The giant bone weapon of Marowak nailed Bayleef once and then twice as Bayleef fell to the ground. It was time for Ash it intervene.

"Tackle attack, Bayleef!!" Ash yelled out as Bayleef got back to her feet. Marowak tried to use Bone Club again, but missed. Bayleef nailed Marowak with a Tackle attack and pounced on Marowak. Ash knew what he wanted Bayleef to do next.

"Okay, Bayleef!! Slam Marowak to the ground with all the force you have!! Slam Marowak hard like it was Ralf Schumacher!!" Ash said. Bayleef knew what Ash meant by that. She would say that whenever Ralf Schumacher tried to hurt Ash, she would use Vine whip and slam his ass hard to the ground many times. So, she saw Marowak as Ralf Schumacher and grabbed the Ground Pokémon with her vine whips and slammed it hard to the ground and she didn't let up.

[Take that, Ralf!! I won't let you get near my Ash!! Take that!! And that!!!] Bayleef yelled out each time she used her vines to slam Marowak to the pavement over and over. Each hit was more powerful than the last and then, Marowak passed out.

"Holy crap!!!" One of the fans yelled out as Bayleef retracted her vines and saw Marowak knocked out after the beating. Giselle fell to her knees and watched as Ash and Bayleef did a victory dance and the fans and the team members cheered them on. She got beat again by Ash, but he showed her that all this time in F1 hasn't hampered his trainer skills.

"I must admit, Ash. You're better than I am. Marowak, return." Giselle said, shaking off the shock of getting her ass kicked. She was actually happy for Ash, knowing that all that time in F1 hasn't dampened his training prowess whatsoever. Not everybody was happy in the paddock. Pikachu, who was receiving a massage from Miyamoto, heard Bayleef cry out as she kicked Marowak's ass and ran out of the Toyota garage, only to see the end of the match.

[ASH!! I wanted to fight!!! I'm your #1 Pokémon!!] Pikachu whined, unhappy that she missed a battle.

"Sorry, Pikachu. You were too busy with Miyamoto that you missed out on a great fight. Don't worry. Charizard and the others did a good job in your place." Ash said as he secretly prayed that Pikachu wouldn't shock him.

[You're mean!!] Pikachu shot back as she stalked back into the Toyota garage. Ash just laughed nervously and decided to get Espeon healed before the afternoon practice started. Before he headed to his room in the Toyota motorhome, Giselle walked up to him.

"Looks lie I was wrong about you, Ash. I've never seen a battle that fierce in my life. I hope we can fight again." Giselle said,

"I hope so too. Who knows... you might beat me next time." Ash said,

"I'll be looking forward to that day, Mr. Formula One." Giselle said and the two shook hands for one of the most memorable battles in Pokémon history.

~~~~~~~
The Afternoon Practice session went without an incident with Rubens Barrichello the fastest on the day with his time of 1:24:633. Eddie Irvine shocked a few people with his lap time of 1:24:684, nearly becoming the fastest on Friday. The lap times went down due to the teams getting ready for Qualifying. Overall, the Afternoon session didn't have that many cars making laps, but the fans were already entertained by the halftime Pokémon battle. The session ended and the teams got to work looking over the cars and making some repairs for Saturday Qualifying. Rubens will be the first driver to go out on both sessions. After Rubens makes his run, Irvine, Keith, Ash, Montoya, Webber, Tomas, Yoong, Ronin, David, Giancarlo, Riley, Jenson, Heidfeld, Panis, Massa, Francois, Ralf, Jarno, McNish, Sato and Raikkonen will make their runs for the best grid position they can get. This weekend is going to be a nail biter.
To Be Continued...
Okay!! Ash won the rematch and Giselle is now 0-2 against Ash!! In the next chapter, the drivers have qualifying to see which one of them will start on the pole for the Grand Prix of Italy. Also, we learn the real story about how Keith Terrell was signed with Ferrari. Please read and review.
