Chapter 4: Starting a Journey!

"Why don't you call your mom and tell her about your Journey, Terri?"

"Okay!" Terri said.

"The phone is right over there!"

"Thanks!"

<DING DING>

"Hi mom, its me Terri!"

"Hi honey!" Terri's mom said. "How are you?"

"Pretty good, I caught a Houndour yesterday, well not really, he sort of 
came with me after I healed!"

"Oh, that's my boy, catching you first Pokémon!"

"Mom I was calling to tell you that I decided I want to start my Journey!"

"Are you sure about this?"

"Yes, positive!"
"Well if that is what you want, then I have no right to stop you! Terri, just 
remember one thing…take care and I love you!"

"I will mom, and I love you too!"

Suddenly Whitney pushes Terri's mom out of the way.

"Hey Terri!"

"Whitney?"

"I knew you would start a Journey someday, cousin!"

"Well I guess you were right!"

"I'm proud of you Terri and I'll wait anxious for our battle!"

"Me too!"

"Bye!"

"Bye!"

"All set?" Professor asked.

"Yup!"

"Here's your Pokédex programmed with Houndour as your first 
Pokémon!"

"Thanks!"

"Don't forget your Pokéballs!"

"Thanks Professor I guess I better be going!"

Terri walked outside ready to leave. There he saw his roasted bike!

"I guess Team Rocket's explosion was too hard!" the Professor said.

"Well I guess I'll have to walk! Goodbye Professor!"

"Bye Terri!"

Terri walked through Route 29 when he heard a rustle in the woods. It was 
soon revealed to be a Mudkip coming out to get a drink of water in a 
nearby pond!

"Wow what could that Pokémon be!" Terri said taking out his Pokédex.

[Mudkip- a water type Pokémon. No further details] the weird voice said.

"Well he looks cool, so I'm going to capture it!"

"Pokéball go!"

"Pokéball go!" another voice said.

"Huh?"

The two Pokéballs collided and dropped on Mudkip. Close to the Pokéball 
stood Damian, Terri's al- time rival from the Pokémon Academy.

"Damian!"

"Well-well-well now who do we have here, Terri fountains!" 

"Hey Damian, I saw that Mudkip first!"

"So what? I caught it!"

They walked to where the Pokéball was and they saw the one on the right 
still moving.

"No one did!" Terri said.

"How about a battle to see who gets to keep it?"

"You're on!"

They went to a nearby field to start their battle!

"Houndour, I choose you!" Terri said throwing a Pokéball releasing the 
dark puppy Pokémon.

[Houndour] he said ready for battle!

"A Houndour, eh?" Damian said, "Well I choose…" right when Damian was 
about to choose his Pokémon, a lightning and thunder was heard. In a few 
seconds it started to rain Meowth and Growlithe.

"Guess I'll battle will have to be postponed!" Damian "We will meet again!" 
and he disappeared into the humidity of the rain.

"I better get to a Pokémon Center!" Terri said returning Houndour. "He 
grabbed Mudkip's Pokéball and ran to the nearest Pokémon Center.

He ran and ran until he finally saw a Pokémon Center nearby. He rushed 
inside panting hard!

"Excuse me young man!" A lady's voice said. 

Terri turned around and saw Nurse Joy standing beside a Chansey.

"Its not nice to come barging in like that!"

"I'm sorry its cause the rain!"

"Oh, then that's a different story!" Nurse Joy said, "Its too late to be 
outside, now you need to rest!"

Mario went to bed knowing that the next day, would be a great one!
