A Terri-FIC Story!

Chapter 8: A "Don't Bug me!" Battle!

In the morning Terri went to the main counter to heal his Pokémon, after 
that he has a quick breakfast and headed to the gym right away.

"Bugsy, I'm here to earn my Hive Badge as you promised!"

"I never forget, and very well, I accept you challenge!"

<This will be a 1-on-1 battle, no time limits, let the battle begin! > The 
announcer guy said!

"Scizor, I choose you!" Bugsy said.

"Houndour hasn't battled so I'll choose him" he thought, "Houndour, go!"

"A Houndour, eh? Don't think that just because Houndour is strong 
against Scizor's both types, you would win. I've had plenty of years of 
training and believe me, I will not loose!" Bugsy said determined to win.

"We'll see about that!" Terri said confident. "Houndour start off with you 
Smog attack!"

<Houndour> he obeyed.  He covered the whole arena with smoke.

"Scizor, swords dance!" Bugsy said as Scizor instantly obeyed and spin as 
fast as a jet and quickly revealed Houndour.

"Houndour, try your Flamethrower!" 

<Hound> Houndour said as he shot a powerful flamethrower.

"Scizor, Swords Dance again!" Bugsy ordered.

Surprisingly the Flamethrower bounced back!!!

"What the?" Terri said.

"Surprised huh?" Bugsy said "Try as you might, Houndour's every attack 
will be dodged! Not only that but Scizor is also getting power as he spins, 
so he's powering up and his attack is going up!"

"What am I going to do if Scizor keeps spinning?" Terri thought. 
"Spinning…Spinning…wait, maybe this'll work!"

"Scizor, Slash attack!"

"Houndour dodge them!"

Scizor's Slashes were very strong and he was extremely fast, Houndour 
barely kept up with him.

"Another Slash attack, Scizor!"

"Houndour faint attack…"

Houndour appeared behind Scizor…

"Huh?" Bugsy said surprised.

"Now Flamethrower!"

"…Quick Attack!"

Scizor moved fast and dodged it easily. 

"Try Flamethrower again, Houndour!"

"Scizor, Swords Dance once more!"

And as always it dodged it!

"…Wait I got it!"

"Houndour run towards Scizor and await a command!"

<Houndour> he obeyed.

"What is he doing?" Bugsy said confused.

Houndour was now close to Scizor…

"Jump!"

<Hound> Houndour said as he jumped way high!

"Now aim down at Scizor and Spin when I tell you!" Terri said confident on 
what he was doing! "…And Spin…now Ember!"

"Oh no!" Bugsy said.

But try as he might, Scizor couldn't get away from that attack!

The smoke cleared and revealed an injured Scizor! He tried hard to stay 
up, but fainted!

<Victory goes to Terri Fuentes from Goldenrod! > The speaker said!

"Are you okay, Scizor?" Bugsy said.

<Sci…zor>

"You fought a good match, you deserve a long rest!"

"We did it Houndour!" Terri said to Houndour as he came running fast 
towards him.

<Hound> he said running happily as he jumped on Terri into his arms!

"I'm proud of you buddy, we did it!"

<Hound> he said licking the cheek of his proud trainer.

"I never thought someone else would use the technique that was used years 
ago by the great Ash Ketchum! I've never seen someone so dedicated to 
their Pokémon like you, Terri. It gives me great pleasure to present to you 
this Hive Badge!" Bugsy said.

"Thanks, Bugsy!"
