CHAPTER 005

Giovanni: I will take those two with me. You take care of the others…. I will stay only for one death, the little redhead… Kill her first. (Whispering) I want you to kill her for me, my son.

Raven is shocked as he looks at his father’s eyes. Then he pulls out the gun and walks over to Misty and puts the gun to her head. She looks back into his eyes.

Misty: Raven. I know you don’t want to do this… So don’t, just let us go.

Raven: I’ve told you once before you don’t know me….

Raven removes the safety. Then he looks in her eyes. He sees tears in them. Then a tear falls down her cheek…

Raven: I’m Sorry (Then he drops his hand) Father, I am sorry, I can not do this.

Giovanni: (Angrily) ARE YOU DISOBEYING ME ?!

Raven: YES! I will not kill her or any of these people. I am sick of doing your dirty work! I will no longer do anything you say.

Giovanni looks into his eyes. Then he smiles evilly.

Giovanni: (Angry) You’re very brave that’s why I’ve always liked you, young one. But you should know by now that YOU BELONG TO ME RAVEN!

Then Giovanni pulls out a gun and aims it at Raven.

Raven: (Angry) I BELONG TO NO-ONE! I AM ASHTON SAGICO KETCHUM!

Then his hands glow white. Giovanni sees this and smiles

Giovanni: (Angry) Well. Well the little brat has some guts I see, but your little magic tricks won’t work on me that easily….

Ash: (Angry) Hmm, why is that?

Giovanni: Because Where do you think you got those powers from I gave you them, it is my DNA.

Ash: ……

Then Giovanni looks at Ash. Then there is a flash of white and Ash falls to the floor.

Rain: ASH!

Rain runs to him, Misty kneels in front of him, and the Ebony stands in front of them. Then Ebony points his gun at Giovanni.

Ebony: What did you do to him?

Giovanni: Hmm, what does it matter?

Ebony: How can you do that he’s your son.

Giovanni: He’s needed it. Now maybe he will listen to me.

Ash: (Weakly) I won’t do what you tell me to do anymore, I’m not killing anyone.

Giovanni: Oh but you will.

Then Ash stands and aims the gun at Misty

Ash: No I won’t do this … Father, stop this. I don’t want to hurt you! Please!

Giovanni: Your not going to hurt me…. You can’t.

Ash then starts to glow golden as the sky darkens to black, and Ho-oh and Lugia appear, glowing as well. Then Ash falls to the floor and Giovanni looks at them.

Giovanni: Ashton, call them back. Now!

Ebony: He can’t because he was fighting your power so much. He is too weak and now he has fainted.

Rain: You have hurt their master, they will not stop until you are gone and can no longer hurt their master anymore.

Then Ho-oh and Lugia swoop down on Giovanni

Ash wakes up. He is in the woods looking up at the sky. He feels

warmth around him and looks to see he is in a sleeping-bag.

Ash: What happened… my head really hurts.

He try’s to sit up when a warm female hand stops him.

Misty: You shouldn’t try and move Ashton

Ash: What…. Hum Misty… What happened, and what did you call me?

Misty: You shouldn’t try and move, and we don’t really know what happened….

**Flash back**

Ho-oh and Lugia swoop down on Giovanni. Giovanni smiles evilly and then he clicks his finger. Then there is an explosion and Ho-oh and Lugia get knocked back in the flames and Giovanni runs to the chopper. He then takes off. The Handcuffs vanish as Ash stands.

Rain: Ash you shouldn’t get up.

Ash: (Weakly) I have to help them.

Ebony: What?

Ash: My friends are hurting I have to help them… I’ll be OK you go ahead and get everyone out of here, please.

Then he runs in to the flames. Rain turns to Ebony and the other.

Rain: You heard him! We have to get out of here.

Ebony: Right People follow me, and Rain will get you out.

Then Ebony starts to exit the roof closely followed by the others. Misty stands there, looking at the flames to the people leaving. Brock stops running and looks at her.

Brock: Misty what are you doing? Come on we have to get out of here.

Then he grabs her arm and she pulls it away from him.

Misty: I can’t leave him here alone. What if something happens I want to… no I need to, help him…. Brock you go on ahead I’ll go and see if I can help him.

Brock: Misty, be careful.

Misty: All right I will. I promise.

Then Brock goes after the others as Misty pulls out a Poke-ball, and releases a Golduck.

Misty: Golduck I need you to use water gun on the flames.

Golduck: Gol (Right)

Golduck uses water gun on the flames, and then Misty and Golduck run through them. Then she sees Ash on his knees on the floor coughing.

Misty: Raven

She runs to him.

Ash: (Cough) Misty, what are you (Cough) doing here?

Misty: I’m here to help you.

Ash: (Cough) I don’t need (cough) your (cough) help (Cough) get (cough) out of (Cough) while you can. (Cough)

Misty: Raven. Are you all right?

Ash: (Cough) I’m fine. (cough) If my friends are hurt (cough) I am not hurt (Cough) I must send them home.

Then he runs off into the flames. Misty looks at Golduck. It nods and then Misty and Golduck follow him. She sees him in front of Ho-oh and Lugia who are both on the floor in a lot of pain.

Ash: Ho-oh, Lugia. Are you two all right?

Ho-oh and Lugia look at him.

Lugia: Master. I am sorry I have failed you?

Ash: No you haven’t. I have failed you both. I’m so very sorry. I will heal you now and then you most return home. Do you understand?

Ho-oh: Master. You can not you are already weak. You can heal us both and get out of here with out getting hurt

Ash: Ho-oh. It is my job. You guard all Pokemon. I will not let you get hurt now.

Then Ash glows white and falls to the floor weak and Ho-oh and Lugia stand.

Ash: (Weakly) NOW RETURN TO WHERE YOU HAVE COME FROM! HO-OH! LUGIA!

Then in a flash of gold Ho-oh and Lugia are gone. Ash falls to the floor weakly.

Ash: (Weakly) At least I got them out of here….

Then he faints. Misty and Golduck run up to him.

Misty: Oh no Golduck how we going to get him out of here. He’s to heavy for me.

Then there is a flash of gold and Misty, Golduck, and Ash are out side with the others. Brock, Ebony, Rain and the others run up to them

Brock: Misty, are you all right?

Misty: I’m fine. But Raven used a lot of his powers, and now.

Then Pikachu runs up to him

Pikachu: Pikapi? (Ash?)

Rain: Pikachu, Ash will be all right. Don’t worry.

Then she grabs him and hugs him.

*END OF FLASHBACK*

Misty: Then we set up camp and you know.

Ash: (Weakly) Where’s Pikachu right now?

Misty: Sleeping. Rain, I mean Suzie, said she was going to take care of him.

Ash: Oh is she all right

Misty: Yeah. Suzie and Tracey are fine…. She was really worried about you… Your lucky to be going out with such a nice girl.

Ash: (Shocked) What me and Suzie? No way! I don’t like her like that. She’s a friend and nothing more…. Besides I really think she likes Brock. You know, he’s the reason she didn’t wanna hurt you guys

Misty: (Giggles) Oh, I see so you’re going out with Tracey then? Hehehehe

Ash: Hey you (Swaps at her)… I’m that way I like girls hehehehe

Misty: Oh good…. You know what?

Ash: What?

Misty: When you’re not angry, or trying to act evil you’re actually really nice.

Ash: (Looks down) You don’t know me….

Misty: Hum. Your Right I don’t, but I would like to get to know a cutie like you a little more.

Ash: (Blushes) urrr… Thanks. Anyway, what time is it anyway

Misty: (Giggles and looks at watch) 01:45

Ash: Oh…. (Looks at Misty) Why are you up so late?

Misty: Watching over you.

Ash: Why… I need people taking care of me?

Misty: I was worried about you that’s all.

Ash: (Angry) Well, don’t worry about me… I’m a big boy. I can take care of myself!

Misty: (Angry) I’m not saying you can’t take care of yourself. So stop getting mad.

Ash: (Angry) Oh just leave me alone.

Then Ash tries to stand to walk away but falls back down.

Misty: Ashton are you all right? I told you, you shouldn’t try and stand.

Ash: (Angry) Stop telling me what to do and don’t call me that!

Misty: (Angry) You know what? I’m really getting annoyed with you snapping at me I’m only trying to help you.

Ash: (Sighs) Listen, I don’t need people worrying about me so don’t and if you must call me anything then call me Ash all right.

Misty looks into his eyes

Misty: (Smiles) All right. You know, I guess I’m just going to have to get used to the way your moods go.

Ash looks back into her eyes and smiles.

Ash: Are you saying I’m moody?

Misty: (Smiling) Why, yes I am.

Ash: (Gasps) hump.. Your mean. (looks away)

Misty: (Giggles) Aw, I’m sorry. But you are.

Ash: I’m (looks at her and moves to a inch of her face) what?

Ash says looking in to her eyes. Misty is lost in his eyes and has lost her words.

Misty: (stutters) Y…You’re … so cute.

Ash: (Sweet smile) Thanks you.

Misty goes to lean in to kiss him and he smiles evilly and turns away.

Ash: Night, night Mist.

Misty: (Angry shocked) hummm you evil moody little brat.

Ash: Thanks. G’night.

Misty then walks over to her sleeping bag, and lays down. The next morning everyone is up and sat at the camp fire while Brock and Suzie are cooking. Ash wakes up and rubs his eyes. He the walks over to them.

Ash: Morning people how you all doing

Misty still angry turns away. Everyone looks at him Pikachu runs up to him and jumps in his arms

Pikachu: Pikapi! Pika! (Ash! Morning!)

Ash: Hey pika-pal, how you doing?

Pikachu: Pika. (Fine.)

Ash: Good

He then puts Pikachu on his shoulder. Lance smiles and then goes up to Ash.

Lance: I wanna thank you, Raven, for what you did. It was very good of you.

Ash: Listen, don’t call me that. I’m no longer Raven. I gave that name up with when I gave up my father. Just call me Ash all right?

Lance: OK.

Ash: I’m going for a walk. I’ll be back in 5 minuets all right.

The others nod as Misty stands up.

Misty: You can’t go off on your own I’ll come with you.

Ash: No I’m all right on my own….

Brock: No Misty’s right. Team Rocket has agents out there looking for us.

Ash: (angry) I can take care of myself I don’t need some girl to come with me all right.

Tracey: Ash, stop being stupid. Let her go with you.

Ash: (Angry) Don’t you call me stupid…. I’ve had enough of people calling me stupid.

Tracey: (Angry) Stop getting mad.

Ash looks away.

Ash: (Angry) I’m going for a walk on my OWN. I need to do something all right and I don’t want anyone seeing all right.

Bugsy: Oh, you’re going to give your ‘little friend’ a seeing to is that right?

Then everyone looks and then starts to laugh.

Ash: (Sarcastic) Yeah, shut up

Then he walks off and Misty stops laughing.

Misty : Bugsy your evil… I’ll tell you what I’ll go after him but stay so he can’t see me and then I’ll tell you all what he does and also to make sure he doesn’t get into trouble.

Lance: All right Misty. Be careful.

Misty: I will.

Then she walks off after Ash. As she is walking, she comes to a clearing and finds Ash standing looking at the sky with Pikachu in his arms

Pikachu: Pikapi

Ash: Hum what is it Pikachu?

Pikachu: Pikapi, pi chu Pikachupi pi pi Pichu chu Pikachu pik. (Pikapi, I can smell Pikachupi in the bushes watching.)

Ash: (Smiles) Really… Misty you can come out of the bushes.

Misty: Damnit! How did he know I was here! Damn, Pikachu!

Then Misty step out from behind the bushes.

Ash: (annoyed) Why did you follow me?

Misty: I’m sorry. I was just walking, and you know.

Ash: (annoyed, rolls his eye) Yeah right… just go back to the others.

Misty: (mad) No I want to know what you’re doing.

Ash: (Annoyed) It’s nothing to do with you so leave me alone

Misty: (Angry) FINE! Be like that!

Then Misty walks off angrily. Ash smile evilly.

Pikachu: Pikapi pik chu chu pi pik? (Pikapi you like her don’t you?)

Ash: No she’s annoying… Pikachu is she gone

Pikachu: (smells) Pika (Yeah)

Ash: Right…. Everyone come on out.

Then Ash glows golden and all his Pokemon are in front of him

Ash: Hey guys how you all doing

Everyone: (Ash)

Then they go up to him, jump on him, and he falls to the floor under their weight.

Ash: (Laughs) Damn, you guys are getting heavy! Get off me so I can breath!

They all get off him and then he smiles.

Ho-oh: I am happy you all right.

Ash: Yeah I guess I had some power left… I got me, Misty, and her Golduck out of there too I was so tired after I didn’t wake up ‘till this morning…

You guys didn’t need to worry about me.

Then he smiles at them warmly. Then he pets them all. Ten minuets later, Ash comes back to the camp and see everyone look at him.

Ash: What’s wrong.

Lance: Nothing, we have to get going.

Ash: Fine.

Then he looks other and sees all the girls talking and Misty looks like she’s been crying. He shakes his head then looks at Lance.

Ash: So where are we going to?

Lance : Hum, I think we need to go to the police.

Ash: Right.

Brock: Hold on if we go to the police, Suzie and the others will be arrested.

Lance: No I can pull some string, and plus this is the beginning of our fight against Team Rocket.

Everyone nodded apart from Ash who looks up to the sky.

Ash: Father I will never hurt you and I will not let anyone hurt you. I will return to you … I’m sorry.

Misty: Man he’s cute even though he’s moody, but I know something is wrong with him. Hmm.
