His eyes were red, which was strange enough, but there were tiny specks of light in them...like stars. He backed away from the blade she had put at his throat. "Put that away." He told her, slowly, without making any sudden movements. "I'm not going to hurt you. I wasn't looking where I was going, that's all." Kurimme lowered the blade and got to her feet.

"Sorry."

"It's okay. Just...forget you ever saw me." He looked over at the pond in the middle of Route 118 and sighed. He backed up for quite some distance, then ran. Really, really fast. When he got to the very edge of the pond, he jumped across! Almost, anyways. About halfway across, he fell right in. "AAAAAAAGH!!!!!!!!!" He started flailing around like he was drowning!

Kurimme quickly realized that he couldn't swim, and dove in to save him. She could swim quite well, despite the fact that she used Mashimizu to get across water. She got over to him and he grabbed onto her, pushing her down in order to push himself up. They always do that. It's stupid. Kurimme pulled him to shore and smacked him in the chest a few times to make him cough up water. She had no idea what she was doing there. She saw it in a cartoon.

"Hey...you okay?" The boy was in shock, his eyes wide. "You're safe now...you can stop being traumatized. Seriously. Dude, you're freaking me out."

"Am I...dead?"

"Heck no! What, are you afraid of water or something?"

"NO! Of course not. You know, I could've jumped it if I had enough speed, which I did until I ran into you."

"Well then, you should've watched where you were going. It's not my fault you slammed right into me." One of Kurimme's many talents was to twist everything you say so that you were the villain.

"Whatever. Just get away from me."

"I will once you repay me for saving your life."

"Hey, I was...I...oh, forget it." Apparently, he was going to say something about how he 'had everything under control' even though he obviously couldn't swim.

She smiled. "I'm Kurimme." She held out her hand, which he grabbed, and she helped him up.

"I'm...Zenso."

Zenso tried not to look like a weakling, but he was still shaken up about the whole water thing. Very few people know that Vulpix, Ninetales, and Flareon all have an internal fire in their organs that can NOT go out. It is similar to the flame on a Charmander's tail. Also, Zensoku was terrified of water in general.

"Well?" He asked the girl Kurimme. "What do you want from me? Money?"

"I dunno. What I usually do when someone owes me is...never mind."

"What?"

"...Well, I follow them around and annoy the heck out of them until they go insane."

"Heck no."

"Okay then." She reached into her pocket and brought out her knife. "Gimme your wallet."

What? This...human was robbing Master Thief Zensoku? "You can't be serious."

"Oh? Have you never heard of Master Thief Kurimme?" He stared blankly at her.

"HA!!! Hahahahahahahahaha!!!"

"I'm serious."

"...Oh, you are? Lemme laugh harder. HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!"

"SHUT UP!!!" She lunged at him in an attempt to stab him. He quickly caught the blade between two fingers and bent it without any effort at all. "What the...urg. I hate you."

"I hear that a lot." He pushed her back. Then he handed her...her wallet.

"You...stole it...without me noticing..."

"You obviously don't know what a real Master Theif is."

"Hey...uh...Krim?" Some guy, who Zenso didn't even notice before, was standing some distance away. "...What about the battle we were just in?"

"Oh, I won." She smiled.

"Riiight. I'm gonna go now..." The now-insignificant character left.

"So..." Kurimme glared at Zenso. "If you're a real theif, tell me, what's the most expensive thing you've ever stolen?"

"Well...I can't remember exactly... but how 'bout this?" He brought out the diamond tiara he was saving for Koi-chan.

"Wow..." Kurimme stared at it for a long time...without blinking...or moving. What an amazing attention span. Humans love shiny things. After about ten minutes, she suddenly snapped out of her dazed state to say one thing: "Teach me..."
