Part 7: Arrival 'Oh my goodness, how could I stupidly forget what position Ash has in all this space mix-up?' Misty thought. She pulled out his diary and flipped to the page on where she discovered who Ash was, the second time she snuck and read it. She had learned that Entry #2 (see part 4) that she had read before was actually Entry #3, and the one she was now flipping to was the real Entry #2. This was a long but very important entry, and if it wasn't read, no one on Earth would know who Ash was. Dear Diary... Entry #2 November 5, 1999 Who am I? I am Ash Ketchum. Long ago, my father's ship crashed upon planet Earth. He was originally assigned to go there to protect this remote, multi-organic planet in a Solar System our own area identifies as "Base A1005," or as Earthlings call it, "The Milky Way." I was on a separate ship that gave a more, well, graceful landing. My father lived...through that at least...with an acceptation of a few souvenirs--a brain injury and a broken leg. We had crashed on planet Earth for a reason--to search for the Life Rose. The Life Rose...it had so many stories behind it, but to make it short, it was a rose with a blue stem and red, red petals--so red it is hardly seen on Earth but very common on the planet Juro of the Solar System Juragi, where I come from--and it stood inside a container in a liquid much like water but with a tint of yellow color swirling about it. Pretty flower, but what's so important about this rose? Sorry, Diary, but heck if I know. Misty rolled her eyes, but continued reading. Dad said it was really important though, and the name itself told a lot about it. Someone's life depends on that rose, he said. Someone important. The petals are extremely delicate, and the more that fall off the rose, the closer whoever that person is, is to death. Anyway, I'll cover that later. I have to go. We have landed on planet Earth and are in search of the Rose, which Father said is in the possession of some gym leader. I just have to be a Pokemon Master--go to every gym and defeat them--and find the special badge that once I touch it, will present the rose. It's actually really becoming my dream, so it's not so hard. *~Ash Ketchum, future Pokemon Master and possessor of the Life Rose~* "See, this is what got me so boiled up in the first place, but I guess this one can slip by," said a voice. The voice sounded all-too-familiar to Misty. She looked down and realized she was on a surface that she had never seen on Earth. That transportation was quick! She put the book in her bag, and slowly, she looked up. She hardly recognized him, but she knew his eyes--they belonged to the one and only Ash. Tears came to her eyes as she ran up to him and tightly embraced him as if she hadn't seen him in years, though it was barely a day. "Ash," she choked through such joyous tears. She could say no more. She studied Ash's posture. He looked very different. He seemed a bit taller for some reason--taller than her, actually! His face had light, thin brown marks on one of his cheeks, going outwards in triangular directions, like an Indian...instead of those zigzags she kind of grew a liking to. His hair was actually normal. His face, even with the Indian look, seemed actually 'reasonable', if you would call it that. His body.... Misty blushed for letting her mouth water. He seemed to have muscles everywhere. Misty had to check in his eyes once more to make sure this was Ash. "A-Ash?" she asked, no longer crying, but having a confused face. Ash already knew what she was thinking. "When we Jurons visit planets like Earth, we put on disguises--full body disguises--in attitude, knowledge, appearance, and nature...and even voice. Of course, I still have traits of a regular human. This is how I really look. No one could suspect the son of Michael, the King of Juragi, to be some scrawny kid who had no common sense," Ash said. He laughed. Soon, Misty started laughing with him. "Well, you're really handsome now," she said, blushing as she said it. "Thanks," Ash said with a smile. "Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaassssssssssssssshhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh............." came a female's voice--a very familiar female's voice. "Oh man...not now..." Ash muttered. "Huh?" Misty wondered. Then, her little 'question' was answered as Rina...er...Rosa...came along. "What do you WANT, Rosa?" Ash asked, annoyed already. "I just wanna check up on my little cutie is all," she said with a small giggle. Ash rolled his eyes. He knew Rosa had her own powers, and one of them was to read people's minds. He knew that Rosa knew that Misty was there, and what she would think of her behavior. "Um...YOUR little cutie?!" asked Misty, approaching Rosa. "Oh boy," Ash sighed. "Yes, my little cutie," Rosa said happily. "I've known him for a very long time and me and Ash are in a very deep relationship." "Misty--" "Don't 'Misty' me, Ash, I wanna hear what this girl has to say," said Misty, angered already. Ash put his hands up in defense and backed out of the battle. "A deep relationship? I'll have you know, miss, that I am in love with Ash, and he is in love with me," said Misty. "Ditto...except he's in love with only me. You see, I've been watching you, and from what I see, you're not exactly Ash's match." "Rosa!" Ash exclaimed. "Yes, honey?" "I do love her, okay? A lot more than I'll ever love you," he said. "Whatever, Ash," she said confidently. "I can read you like a book." Rosa looked back. "I think that's my boss thinking about giving me a promotion to the Hyper-Solar System. I'll be back," she said with a giggle as she left. "I'm really sorry about...her," said Ash. "She's Rosa. Her boss acts like she's doing her job--she really doesn't do anything--when all she does is hang around the boys." "It's okay," Misty said with a sigh. 'Melody was similar, except we made a truce and she wasn't as snotty,' thought Misty. "So," she said, "if you just left Earth, how are you going to find that Rose?" "I found it already, about a year before I met you." Misty facefaulted. "I came all the way here just to start half an unfinished fight with some space slut, with excitement to prepare for a mission that already was accomplished?" "Actually, I stayed on Earth because I enjoyed the things there. I had decided to choose when I wanted to leave that I'd search for it. It's been stolen by someone and we need to get it back. Actually, I just found out who stole it." "Who?" Ash's face grew very serious in harsh memory. His eyes narrowed. His deep voice lowered. "Remember our little 'Dex' character...?" TO BE CONTINUED.... OK, if I promised this part would be juicy, I'm sorry. But it did have the details you readers needed to know to know just who the heck Ash was and why he left Earth, and why he was there in the first place, and where he was from!!! But this chapter, believe it or not, is a VERY important one...as are parts 1 and 3 and 4. So remember everything that's been said, folks!! projectchick5005@yahoo.com
