Little bundle of fur, open your eyes

Today awaits a grand surprise

Eggs that taste like chocolate

Scattered around for you and your mates

Its that time of year when the bunny hops around

Hiding and placing eggs to be found

The bunny holds the chocolate with care

Knowing that by the evening it shan’t be there

Gobbled up quickly by hungry mouths

Chewing will be the only heard sound

Little Eevee take care

The Easter Bunny will soon be there

Hopping from home to home

Nobody can see him you know

He bounces with speed of light

He hides those eggs with all his might

He does his job in little time

Knowing children’s faces will shine

Chocolate will cover the lands and the shores

Little ones are begging for more

Alas the bunny comes once a year

More to look forward to, nothing to fear

A treat for those of us who like

Chocolate and goodies and sweets alike

Little Eevee be patient please

There’s only one more night, one more sleep

Then once you open your eyes

You know that a grand surprise

Awaits you to hunt and seek

To search, to run, to jump and leap

To finally find it hidden behind a rock

Perhaps in a shoe, perhaps in a sock

Where ever the eggs the chockies are placed

Soon you will be stuffing your face

Little furball please wait a while

Easter is around the corner about a mile

It’s creeping up at tremendous rate

And when you don’t expect it it’ll leave a happy fate

Eggs, chocolate, sweets galore

One egg, two egg, three egg four

Stack them high and see how long

Those chocolate eggs stay before they’re gone

Easter is only a day away
