Epilogue:
Four Months after the fight…
The sunset over Moonlight Meadow, it's soft glow giving the feeling of twilight. Out of the cave came the Umbreon, the younger pups bounding around and playing in the cool air. Midnight emerged from the cave, and breathed in the heavenly scent of twilight. Midnight was a bigger Umbreon now, and more serious, even though he would joke around with Ray time and time again.
He climbed up onto the roof of the cave where it overlooked the whole of Moonlight Meadow. Lunar and the older Umbreon were walking around talking, while young Eevee and Umbreon pups bounded around and played tag and other games. Some Umbreon went hunting, it may not have been HootHoot season but the eggs were exceptionally good for the young pups, and Rattata were coming around more now, which meant more food.
"Hey, what are you doing up here?" a voice asked, a familiar calm, soft voice of a sincere one.
Turning around, Midnight smiled as he looked into the beautiful eyes of Viola. "Hey Viola," Midnight greeted. "I was just looking at how free we all are and how lucky we are."
"Reminiscing huh?" Viola grinned. Viola had a remarkable talent to know how you were feeling and to read between the lines.
Midnight nodded. "You still love me?" he asked shyly.
"Of course," Viola replied. "Remember when I first yelled it out, and how my necklace began to glow and do something weird."
"You sacrificed yourself for me out of love, I think that's what made it trigger," Midnight added thoughtfully. The time seemed to be right, the sky was different shades of gold, pink and blue and it was so peaceful, just the two of them. Midnight moved closer to Viola and they kissed each other.
It's very hard to describe how two pokémon would kiss, especially an Umbreon and an Espeon but it was like nothing either had felt before. When they finished their kiss, they looked at each other, Viola's eyes sparkling.
"You guys, sup?" Ray asked, bounding up to them with Ebony.
"Are you two together?" Midnight asked Ray.
"Who said that?" Ebony demanded, grinning. "Not yet anyway."
"We were just reminiscing," Viola explained. "Thinking about 4 months ago. Hey! Ray, do you remember when we went hunting and that Skarmory came up to us!"
"Oh yeah," Ray remembered. "Gave us some riddle, You will find the help is with you already, something like that."
"He was talking about the necklace!" Viola told him. "The necklace saved us all, was with us all the time and yeah, is a part of me."
"You must feel special," Ebony joked.
"I suppose your right," Viola grinned.
"Do you think there's the chance they survived?" Midnight questioned.
"Let's not dwell on the past," Ebony suggested. "Let's look to the future."
