Disclaimer: I know everyone expects one of these so here it goes. I don't, and probably never will, own Pokemon. But if I did, I would turn this saga into a chain of episodes. Oh, and if you didn't read the prologue to this story it may get a bit confusing at times. You have been warned! This story was written in December 2003.

It's finally Saturday and our hero Ash Ketchum couldn't wait any longer for it to come. He had been waiting for the last couple of days getting teased by his friends Brock, Tracy, May and Max about if Ash loves Misty or not. The reason that Ash has been waiting for Saturday is becuase it's the day that they're throwing the welcome home party for Ash after being gone in Hoenn for so long. And, also, it's the day Ash gets to see Misty after a long time of them being apart from eachother.

Pidgey!!! Pidgey!!!

Pidgey!!! Pidgey!!!

Ash's Pidgey alarm clock is going off at 8:00 A.M. so to wake up Ash, but to no success. But what does happen is Pikachu gets rudly awakened by the clock and is mad at Ash becuase he's still not up yet. To get Ash awake, Pikachu does it the old fashioned way.

"Pi Ka Chu!!!"Pikachu screamed while an enormous thundershock erupted out of Pikachu's body (He didn't want to over do it).

"AAAAAAHHHHHHHH!!!!" screamed Ash.

Now fully awake, "What did you do that for Pikachu?!" Ash screamed at his Pokemon.

"Pi ka chu chu pi chu ka pi chu."

Just then, Brock, May, Max, and Mrs. Delia Ketchum came running into Ash's room to find out why Ash was screaming.

"What's all the screaming about Ash?" Brock asked. "I was having a good dream too."

"I was screaming because Pikachu shocked me to get me awake," Ash said mad.

"Well it worked didn't it?" said Ash's mom, "Better than I could ever do it."

"Well now that I'm up, get out of my room so I can get ready for..."

"Misty" all of the others said together.

"For the day," Ash replied to their taunting.

"Fine, lets get out of here so Ash can get ready for his date with Misty," Brock said now cracking up.

"Just leave," was all Ash could muster to say.

Everyone finally leaves to get ready for the party at Prof. Oak's Lab.

"Brock has some serious issues," Ash said to Pikachu.

"Chu chu."

Ash finally gets out of bed and goes and takes his shower to get ready for the party that is today. Ash is now done and walking to the kitchen to have breakfast when he hears someone knocking at the front door.

Knock Knock Knock Knock Knock.

"I'll get it," Ash said hoping that it was Misty.

Opens door, "Gary?!"

"Hey Ash," was all Gary said and then walked in. "So how ya been?

"Fine Gary, you," Ash was a little disapointed because Misty wasn't here yet.

"I've been doing pretty well with my research. I saw that you lost at the Hoenn League," Gary said to Ash.

"I got fourth place!"

"You still lost. So where is everyone?" Gary asked.

"Some of them are at Prof. Oak's because that's where we're throwing the party, but I think that May might still be here.

"May?" Gary asked confused.

"What?" May said coming up to Ash and Gary. "Whose this?"

"I'm Gary Oak the famous Pokemon evolution researcher." (Taking a victory pose).

"Oh yeah, I've heard about you from Ash and the others," May answered back.

"Well now that everyone is introduced, I'm going to eat some breakfast," Ash said to the other two.

Ash went into the kitchen to see, not very surprizing, that Pikachu was sitting on the table eating his Pokemon food under a huge mound of ketchup.

"I'll never undertand why you like Ketchup so much Pikachu," Ash said to his silly Pokemon.

"Pika chu pi chu ka."

Ash goes and gets some cereal, the only thing that he can make without burning it.

"I wish Brock was here," Ash said to Pikachu.

"Why? So you and Misty won't be lonly when you kiss at the party," Brock said coming in.

"I thought you went to Prof. Oak's to help with the party," Ash replied.

"I did, but I came back here so I wouldn't miss the first kiss," Brock said now holding his side on the ground laughing hysterically.

"On second thought, I don't wish you were here."

Ash finishes his cereal and decides to go up to Prof. Oak's to help with the party.

Ash and Pikachu are walking down the road to Prof. Oak's when Ash says to Pikachu, "How about one more time. Me and you race to get to Prof. Oak's first. Third times the charm. Oh and no attacks" Knowing that Pikachu never backs down from a challenge, Pikachu accepts his trainer's pitiful dare. So off they run, for the third time this week, Ash thinking that he might win this time and Pikachu thinking, 'doesn't he ever learn.' Ash can see the lab now 'almost there' he thinks. But just then an Oddish runs across the road and Ash has to run off the road so not to hit it. Then, once Ash gets back on the road, Pikachu is so far ahead that Ash knows that he lost, but he still keeps on going. Finally, Ash gets to Oak's lab where Pikachu has been waiting for a few minutes.

"Can't I ever beat you in a race?" Ash asks Pikachu.

"Pi chu ka Pikachu," Pikachu says while shaking his head.

"If it wasn't for that Oddish, I would have won."

"Won what?" Ash's mom came up to him asking.

"I ran a race with Pikachu and an Oddish ran out in front of me, so I ran off the road and Pikachu won."

"Well you'll get him next time," Delia said winking at Pikachu.

"Were you running because you thought you saw Misty?" Tracy said coming over to Ash.

"Me and Pikachu were in race."

"I bet Pikachu won," Tracy said back.

"And why do you say that?" Ash questioned.

"Because you never win, Ash. Everytime in the Orange Islands you would think that you would win but everytime Pikachu would win. Why don't you just accept defeat for once in your life?" Tracy said.

"Because, I know that I can beat Pikachu at least once in my life."

"Sure, you just keep on saying that to yourself," Tracy said and then left to help with the party some more.

Over the next couple of hours, all of the invited guests show up and the party has already started. All of the invited guests except for Misty. Ash is now very disapointed and depressed that Misty still hasn't shown up yet, but he hasn't given up hope yet.

"Where's Misty?" Ash asks Pikachu while siting inside on the couch.

"Pi chu." it said while shruging it's shoulders.

"What are you doing in here, Ash?" asked his mom, walking up to him. "And you look so sad, what's the matter?"

"Oh, nothing, it's just that Misty isn't here yet and I was looking forward to seeing her again for the first time in a long time."

"Don't worry she'll show up," Delia said in a comforting way.

"Maybe your right," Ash said.

"That's the spirit, now lets go back to the party," his mom said.

"O.K."

"Pi."

Ash, Pikachu and Delia go back to the party and Ash talks to all of his friends and still, more than often, looking for Misty.

"Yeah, that was one of the most intense matches that I've ever had," Ash was saying to Max. Ash then looked around one more time.

"What are you looking for, Ash?" Max asked.

"Oh, nothing," Ash replied.

"Are you worried that your girlfriend won't show up?" Max asked now snickering.

"Don't start Max, I'm warning you! Or I'll...I'll..."

"You'll what?" Max questioned back.

"I'll be going now," and Ash left Max to look for Misty some more.

Ash was walking through the crowds of people when he stoped dead. It was Misty, she had come. She was dressed in a beautiful light blue dress with her hair down. She had also pearced her ears and there were little Tentacuel dangling from them. Ash walked as quickly as he could towards Misty.

"Misty, your here!" Ash nearly screamed becuase he was so excited.

"Hey Ash, I havn't seen you in a long time. How have you been?" asked Misty.

"I've been great. How about you?"

"Oh, I've been great too and the gym at Cerulean City has been nice. I saw you lose at the Hoenn League earlier this week."

"I got fourth place! Misty."

"I know that. You'll get 'em next time Ash," Misty replied.

'Now this was something new' Ash thought. 'Is Misty actually being nice to me for once'.

"What do you mean "next time"? Where else is there to go?" Ash said confused.

"You mean you don't know? It figures. You were always a little dense." Misty said back.

"Know what, Mist?"

"There's a fourth region; the Ohnee region."

"Ohnee?"

"Yeah, with all new Pokemon."

"It sure would be great to go there and see some new Pokemon," Ash said.

"But you just got back, don't leave yet!" Misty heard herself say. "Did I say that, I meant, since you've been gone for so long you should stay here and think about it for a while."

"What's gotten into you Misty?" Ash asked surprized at what she said and how she said it.

"Nothing, uh lets just go and have some fun at the party," Misty said to Ash, while blushing a little. Ash noticed this, but decided not to mention it to Misty.

"Yeah, okay, lets go," Ash said to Misty.

Ash and Misty spent the rest of the party together talking about stuff and catching up on things. There was a few times that Ash was sure that Brock or someone would interfere, but for the rest of the party, well into the night around 10:00 P.M., when the party was coming to a close, Ash and Misty talked and danced at the party. Ash had decided that they didn't want to ruin Misty's day.

Finally, the party was almost over and most of the guests had already gone back home. The only people who were still there, all now inside of Oak's house/lab were: Ash, Misty, Delia Ketchum, Prof. Oak, Gary, Brock, Tracy, May, Max and of course Pikachu. Tracy looked a little sad and then said,

"Can everyone come into the living room, please. I have an anouncment to make."

Ash thought 'Oh no here it comes' as Misty and him walked to the living room.

Everyone walked in and sat down ready to hear Tracy's news.

"I've called you all in here to tell you that I'm leaving to go back to the Orange Islands for a family emergency," Tracy said to all of them. "And Professor Oak needs a replacement to help him in his lab while I'm gone."

"I'll do it," Max said quickly. "Come on Professor, I can do it."

"I know you can, but I also need someone else, and that's why I would like to ask you Brock if you can stay here and help me at my lab," Oak said turning to Brock.

"How long is Tracy going to be gone," asked Brock.

"About a month," Tracy said.

"What's wrong with your family?" Misty asked.

"My grandma died and I have to go back for the funeral," Tracy reluctantly said.

"Oh, I'm so sorry," Misty said.

"So am I," Tracy replied.

"Okay, I'll do it," Brock said to Prof. Oak.

"Oh, thank you Brock," Prof. Oak said.

"But I get to stay too, right?" Max asked.

"Okay, you can help me too," Oak said to Max.

"Yes!," Max exclaimed.

"But what about me? No offense Prof. Oak but I want to keep on traveling and battling in Pokemon Contests in the Hoenn region," May said.

"Well there's nothing stopping you, May," Max said to her.

"Oh, but I don't want to travel alone," May said back.

"You won't be alone as long as you've got your Pokemon, May," Ash said.

"I meant someone human," May said.

"Who knows, maybe you'll meet someone else and travel with that person, you did meet me all that time ago," Ash replied.

"I guess your right. But wait, why don't you come and travel back with me to Hoenn, Ash?" May said to him.

"He can't, because him and me are going to travel to the Ohnee region," Misty said quickly. Ash just looked at her confused. "Isn't that right Ash?"

"Yeah, were going to the Ohnee region to start a new adventure," Ash said back to everyone.

"The Ohnee region? But they don't have Pokemon Contests there," May said to no one inpericular. "Well I guess I don't have a choice. I'm going to go back to Hoenn, alone, to compete in more Pokemon Contests."

"It's settled then, Brock and Max will stay with Professor Oak until Tracy returns from the Orange Islands. May will be going back to Hoenn to compete in more Pokemon Contests. Ash and Misty will be starting a new adventure in the Ohnee region. And what about you Gary, where will you go?" Mrs. Ketchum asked.

"I'll be going back to the Ohnee region to continue my Pokemon evolution research," Gary said to everyone.

"I didn't know you ever went to Ohnee, is it nice there?" Ash asked.

"It's no Kanto," Gary replied snickering.

"No, I guess it's not," Ash said back.

"Well no offense, but Kanto is no Hoenn," May said to everyone.

"And that goes double for the Orange Islands," Tracy said.

Then everyone started laughing about this.

"Well, in my opinion, I think that Johto has been the best yet," Misty said.

"Well, we all have our own opinions, don't we? Delia said.

"That's what makes someone unique," Ash said then looking at Misty who just stood there mistified.

"I guess your right," Misty said back, looking at Ash while blushing.

"Well, it's been a busy day and I think that we should all get some sleep, because tomorrow is going to be just as busy," Mrs. Ketchum said.

"Yeah, lets go home and get some sleep," Misty said looking at Ash again. "We have a long day ahead of us."

So everyone leaves Prof. Oak's Lab except for Tracy, Oak, Brock and Max to go back to the Ketchum's house to get ready for bed. On their way there, it's very cold out and Misty is shivering a little, so Ash gives Misty his coat. Misty just looked at Ash with those beautiful aqua eyes and smiled with the gorgeous smile. And then Misty said,

"Thank you Ash, that's sweet."

"No problem, you were cold so...," was all Ash could say becuase he was blushing too much. Misty noticed this but because it was so dark out, no one else saw it. Misty decided not to tell Ash for many reasons.

Finally, they got to the Ketchum's house and everyone was handing out rooms.

"There's only two extra rooms but there's three people, what should we do?" Mrs. Ketchum asked.

"Well, I'd like to have my own room if you two don't mind," May suggested.

"Is that okay with you two?" Mrs. Ketchum asked Ash and Misty.

"I don't care," Ash said.

"Fine with me," Misty said.

So Delia, Ash, Misty and May go to their rooms to get ready for bed. While getting ready, Ash was thinking,

'Did they plan this? Did my mom and May talk about this and do this so me and Misty could get a room together? Maybe?'

"Goodnight Pikachu, goodnight Misty, see you in the morning," Ash said to his two closest friends while on the bottom bunk of his bunk bed.

"Goodnight Ash, sweet dreams," Misty said to Ash while on the top bunk of Ash's bunk bed.
