Disclaimer: I don't own any bit of Pokémon. Welcome to Part 1. If you didn't read the prologue then this part will be confusing at times. You have been warned. This story was written in March 2004.

Misty, earlier today, was told that Pokémon do not exist in this world and that she was in a coma for three months and in that time they say that she created this fantasy Pokémon world. But Misty still didn't believe them because all she's ever known is Pokémon, nothing more. To her, a world without Pokémon doesn't exist.

Right now Misty is standing outside her house ready to go down to the city. Misty's house wasn't too far away from the main city so it didn't take her a long time to get to where everyone was walking around. There was nothing really to do in the main city right now though, so Misty headed straight for the beach. On the way there, Misty was thinking about everything that she had experienced in the Pokémon world including: Ash, Pikachu, Brock, Togepi, the Pokémon League, the Orange League, and the Johto League Silver Conference. But she was just told today that all that wasn't real. It was really hard to believe it.

Within another 20 minutes Misty got to the beach and found a bench. Right now the sun was setting on the ocean so she sat down to watch it. While she was watching the sunset another bird flew by and landed a few feet away from her.

'Hey there's a Wingull,' Misty thought. 'It's so cute. I wish I had some Pokémon food to feed it.'

"Hey, wait a second." Misty took a closer look at the bird and discovered that it wasn't a Wingull. Just like the Pidgey before, this bird looked just like a Wingull but it was different in some places.

"I hate this world. I want my Pokémon back!" Misty said out loud and began to cry in her hands again. "I want my Togepi, Pikachu, even my Psyduck. Ash where are you? I want you back!"

"Pi chu pi!" Misty heard a Pichu say right behind her. She quickly looked behind her but unfortunatly found nothing.

"But I could have sworn I heard a Pichu." Misty thought about this for a second and then said, "maybe I am going crazy."

Misty soon got tired of the sunset and got off the bench to start walking on the beach. It was almost the end of summer so there were a lot of couples out on the beach and some of them were making out. Misty decided to go down to the water and she removed her shoes and socks so she could walk in the ocean.

While the water came in and splashed on her feet, Misty thought, 'I can't believe how lonely it is here. I mean even when Ash and my other friends aren't with me, I at least have my Pokémon with me. At least they could always keep me company, especially my sweet little Togepi. I loved Togepi just like a mother would and now I'm suppossed to believe that all that wasn't real? I can't. I just can't. Pokémon meant too much to me to just forget about it and accept that it wasn't real. Just earlier this week I was walking along with Ash and Pikachu.'

Misty stopped walking on the beach and turned to face the sunset which was almost gone. 'Tomarrow I'm gonna ride my bike to Pallet Town and find Ash. If I have to live in this place, then at least I can live here with the person I love.' The sunset was now over and it was starting to get really dark on the beach.

Misty was still looking over the ocean at the dissappearing light when just then she heard again, "Pi chu pi!" right behind her. Again Misty spun around ready to see a Pichu but again there was nothing but sand.

"What is going on? Why do I keep on hearing a Pichu when they shouldn't exist? Unless there is a Pichu around here!" It was really getting dark now so Misty only had another five minutes before she couldn't see anymore. Misty quickly ran up and down the beach searching for the little Pichu, but she found nothing even close to a Pichu. Within another ten minutes it was pitch black outside so Misty had not choice but to leave the beach and go back to the house to face her sisters again.

About a half an hour later, Misty was walking up to her house and started to get out her key to open the front door when it opened for her and Misty's three sisters were waiting for her to come in.

"Hi Misty, like, welcome back home," Lily said.

"Uh, Lily, I was just here an hour ago," Misty said.

"Yeah we know but since you've been gone for three months we want to hang out with you, like, more now," Daisy said.

"Oh, sure! We'll hang out more. Just give me a couple of days to adjust, okay?" Misty asked.

"Sure Misty. Uh, it's, like, great to have you back and all," Violet said.

"Well if you don't mind I'm a little tired so I'm gonna go to bed," Misty said to her three sisters.

"Okay Misty. I guess we'll, like, see you tomorrow. Maybe we'll, like, go out and go to the mall or, like, something, k?" Lily said.

"Yeah sure. Maybe tomorrow if I'm feeling up to it. Goodnight!" Misty said.

"Like, goodnight Misty," Daisy said.

See ya, like, in the morning!" Lily said.

"Untill, like, tomorrow!" Violet said.

Once in her room Misty didn't even bother doing anything. She just took off her shoes and socks, took off her scrunchy, and undid her suspenders. Finally she turned off the light, climbed in bed and was soon asleep within minutes.

While she was asleep, she had a dream or you could even call it a nightmare. In her dream she was back in Viridian City at the Pokémon Center.

"Oh I knew that was all just a dream. Pokémon are real!" Misty yelled.

"I could have told ya that Misty," a voice said behind her.

Misty turned around and yelled, "Ash, you're here!"

"Were else would I be Misty?"

"Oh, right. I have to tell you about this wieid dream I had. I dreamt that there was no such thing as Pokémon and I hated it. The overall world was the same except there wasn't any Pokémon around and I was the only one that remembered anything about Pokémon."

"Wow, what do you think that means?" Ash asked.

"Uh, I don't know. It could mean anything." Just then, Misty heard behind her again,

"Pi chu pi!" Misty spun around quickly but once again there was no Pichu to be found.

"Why did you turn around Misty; hear somehting?" Ash asked.

"Yeah, I heard a Pichu. You heard it right?"

"Well no...Maybe it was Pikachu?"

"Pi ka pi?"

"No, the voice was different. I'm sure that it was a Pichu."

"Well there's no Pichu in here, Misty."

"Pi chu pi," the Pichu said again behind Misty. Misty looked behind her again but there was no Pichu. "You have to tell me you heard that Ash." There was no asnswer. "Ash?" Misty turned around and Ash was no where to be seen.

"Ash! Ash! Where are you?" But all Misty heard back was her own echo. There was no one else in the Pokémon Center but her.

"Pi chu pi!" she heard from behind.

"Pichu where are you! Show yourself!" Then everything went dark in the center.

"Pi chu pi!" Misty heard in the darkness.

"Where are you!"

"Pi chu pi!" Misty heard again.

"Leave me alone!!!" Misty screamed but all she heard was,

"Pi chu pi!"

Misty then woke up, sat up on her bed and screamed, "Leave me alone!!!!!" Soon Misty's three sisters came running into the room to find out why Misty was screaming.

"What's the matter? Who were you talking to?" Lily said.

Misty turned on the light to see her three sisters standing around her bed with concern on their faces.

"Oh, it was nothing. I was just having a nightmare."

"Are you sure your okay, Misty?" Daisy said.

"Yeah, I'm fine. Go back to what your guys were doing. I'm okay."

"Well, okay, I guess," Violet said. Then the three of them left Misty's room so Misty could go back to sleep. But Misty didn't want to go to sleep because she was afraid that she would have that nightmare again.

So she got out her diary again and started to write:

"I don't know why but for some reason this Pichu, or at least its voice keeps on showing up. And not only when I'm awake, but in my dreams too. I wonder why it's doing this. Why is it torturing me? Why can't it just leave me alone? If it doesn't leave me alone, I think that I might go insane soon so I have to find out a way to stop it."

Misty looked over at the clock and started to write some more:

"Right now it's 10:18 PM so I should probably be getting back to sleep, but I don't want to because I'm afraid I'll have that nightmare again. But the good thing was that in my dream, before it bacame a nightmare, Ash and Pikachu were there with me. And if that's the only way I'll be able to be close to them before I get to Pallet Town then I guess I have no choice. And anyway I can't stay awake forever."

Misty then decided to put away her diary. She turned off the light of the lamp on the bedside table and tried to go back to sleep. But unfortunatly within a few minutes Misty heard something that sent a chill down her spine.

"Pi chu pi!" Misty heard from somewhere in her room. Misty was now starting to get terrified by this little Pichu. She quickly took the covers and pulled them over her head. Almost as soon as she had done this something started to walk on her bed. Misty knew it had to be the Pichu so she waited untill it stopped walking and then she grabbed it from under the sheets. It stuggled to get away and Misty couldn't hold on much longer so she covered it with the sheets on the bed. Misty got out from under the sheets and could see it struggling to get out of the sheets but Misty held it tight. She had an idea.

Misty grabbed the entire bag of the sheet that had the Pichu in it and she quickly left to get her three sisters.

"Daisy! Lily! Violet! Come quick, I caught a Pokémon!" Misty yelled to them.

Misty's sisters came running in and Daisy asked,

"Okay, you caught a what Misty?"

"A Pokémon, a Pichu in fact, and I have it here right in this sheet." Misty's sisters all crowded around the bag to see something, anything, but the bag wasn't moving anymore.

"I told you Pokémon are real. Just take a look at this!" Misty said then dumped out the contents of the bag; there was nothing inside.

"What?! I don't understand. Guys you have to believe me. I was in my room and I heard it say 'Pi chu pi!' and then I caught it in this sheet. It was in here guys, it really was!"

"Right Misty we believe you," Daisy lied. She said it in a soft and slow way suggesting that Misty was out of her mind insane.

"No I'm not crazy. It was here, it struggled to get away. Guys this was real!"

"Maybe it was just another dream Misty? Come on lets go back to bed. I'll tuck you in," Lily said.

"Yeah, It'll be okay, we'll help you too Misty," Violet said. Then the three sisters led Misty back to her room and put her back into bed all the time treating her like a little child.

Once Misty was all "tucked in" Daisy said softly,

"Now if you have any other scary dreams, just come and tell me about them. Oh forgot one thing," Daisy said then she looked under the bed for a few seconds and then came up and said,

"No scary Pokémon under there Misty so you won't have to be scared anymore tonight."

"But I'm not scared! And I'm not a little kid! I'm twelve years old and I'm old enough to know the differance between the real and the imaginary! So just leave my room untill you decide to acknowledge me as a twelve year old!" Misty yelled at them. She was really mad at them now. Misty's sisters were speechless so they just left Misty's room to back to sleep. After they left, Misty tried to go back to sleep.

Within another few minutes, Misty was asleep again.

Finally I'm done with part 1. Part two will be a lot longer and if it gets too long I'll have to split it up into two seperate parts. But right now, I suspect there to be at most 4 parts in total, but it will probably turn out to be only 3 parts, but don't quote me on that. Please review part 1. I love reviews like Pikachu loves ketchup. Gotta Catch Ya Later! Misty101803 signing off.
