This Pichu is Different

Disclaimer: Well it had to happen sooner or later. This Pichu is Different is about to end. This, obviosly, is the final part of the story. I hope it explains everything that you have questions about in the story. It should help you. I don't own Pokémon. This story was written in March 2004.

Today our heros, Ash, Misty, Brock and thier Pokémon: Pikachu, Togepi and all of the rest, are traveling through a dense forrest on their way to the next city so Ash can compete for another badge.

"Come on you Slowpokes, you're moving too slow," Ash said a few steps in front of everyone else.

"Ash, slow down! We don't have to run to the next city," Misty yelled to Ash.

"Hey Brock, where what is the next city with a gym anyway?" Ash asked. Brock reached into his right pocket on his shirt and pulled out a guide. He flipped to the page with the gyms and which cities they were located in and said,

"The next gym is in..." but he got cut off when he walked into Ash who had stopped in the road.

"Why did you stop, Ash?" Brock asked.

"Just look at that Brock," Ash said pointing to a Pichu who had just fell out of a tree a few feet away from them.

"Hey, it's a Pichu. You don't see one of those everyday," Brock said to Ash.

"I know. I'm gonna catch it," Ash said getting out an empty Pokéball.

"No wait Ash, let me capture it," Misty said.

"No way. You would never stand a chance with your water Pokémon!" Ash yelled at Misty.

"Then I won't use a water Pokémon Ash. I'll use my Togepi." When Misty said this Ash started to laugh out loud histerically.

"And just what is so funny?!" Misty yelled at Ash.

"Your Togepi," Ash said between laughs. He was holding his side now because he was laughing so hard his side hurt. "It doesn't know any attacks, you'll be destroyed!"

"Oh yeah, well I bet you that I'll be able to capture the Pichu if I use my Togepi and Togepi only!" Misty said with confidance.

"And when you lose?" Ash said now on the ground because he was laughing so hard.

"And if I lose, then you can capture it if you want, but I don't know why you would want to since you already have an evolved Pichu."

After a few more seconds Ash stopped laughing and got up off the ground.

"Okay, Misty, I accept," Ash said holding out his hand so Misty could shake it. Misty then shook his hand and it was official.

"Okay," Misty said and then set down Togepi. "Pichu," Misty said pointing at the Pichu, "I challenge you to a battle!"

All the Pichu said was,

"Pi," and it nodded in approval.

"Okay, here we go Togepi. Go, and use your Metronome attack!" Misty yelled at it. But Togepi didn't do anything, it didn't even start waving its arms, it just stood there and said,

"Togepiiiiii!"

Misty crouched down to Togepi's level on the ground and said,

"Go on Togepi, use your Metronome, I know you can do it, I've seen you use it before." But yet again Togepi didn't do anything.

Meanwhile the Pichu walked in to face Togepi and strangly enough it started to glow a blue color.

"Hey what's the matter with this Pichu?" Ash asked Brock.

"Hmmmm, this Pichu is different. Be carefull Misty, who knows what will happen next," Brock said to her.

While the Pichu was glowing the blue color, Misty was still crouched down so it was looking Pichu right in the eye.

"I've never seen a Pichu do..." Misty started to say but right then Misty fell asleep. She was out cold. Since Togepi had its eyes closed, as it usually does, it didn't fall asleep like Misty. And then the Pichu stopped glowing blue.

"Okay what is going on. Misty, wake up!" Ash yelled to her, but it was no use.

"Hmmmm," Brock said thinking. "I think that this Pichu just used a Hypnosis attack."

"But I thought that Pichu couldn't learn Hypnosis," Ash said.

"They can't Ash. This Pichu is really rare. Now that Misty can't battle anymore you go ahead and catch the Pichu. It was all apart of your deal."

"Yeah, okay," Ash said. "Lets go Pikachu, I choose you!" Pikachu jumped in and was facing the Pichu who started to glow blue again.

"Pikachu don't look at it and use your Thunderbolt attack!" Ash yelled to it. Pikachu did as it was told and sent out a huge Thunderbolt from its small body. It hit the Pichu dead on and as soon as the attack faded the Pichu fanted.

"Well that was quick. Thanks Pikachu, great job. Pokéball go!" Ash yelled and threw a Pokéball right at the Pichu. The ball hit Pichu right on the head and Pichu turned into a pink energy beam as it went inside the red and white Pokéball. It managed to shake around inside of the ball a couple of times, but then the red light on the center of the ball faded and the ball stopped moving.

"Yes!!! I caught a Pichu," Ash said taking a pose while making a peace sign with his right hand. Pikachu did the same thing and said,

"Pi pi ka chu!!!"

Then Ash went over to the Pokéball and picked it up.

"Pichu come out," Ash said and then the Pichu came out of the ball in a blinding flash of white light. It reappeared right in front of Ash, Pikachu, Togepi and Brock.

"Congratulations Ash, but what should we do about Misty?" Brock asked. Ash looked over at Misty who was still sleeping from the Hypnosis attack she took.

"Well I guess we can't keep moving on while she's sleeping so lets wake her up," Ash said and then went over to Misty and tried to shake her shoulder, but Misty wouldn't wake up.

"Come on Misty, wake up," Ash said shaking Misty harder now, but Misty was out cold.

"Pikachu, use a Thundershock," Ash said to Pikachu.

"Pika," it said and then shocked Misty with its attack, but Misty still wouldn't wake up.

"Pikachu, use a Thunderbolt this time." And Pikachu sent out the powerful attack and it hit Misty, but still she would not awaken from her slumber. The only thing that had changed was that she was a little charred and burnt from the attacks.

"Hmmmm, Pikachu use a..." Ash began to say.

"NO ASH!!!!!!" Brock yelled to him before Ash could say anymore. "Don't use a Thunder attack, that's too powerful. Just let her wake up by herself. Come on I'll make some lunch," Brock suggested to Ash.

"Well okay, if that's the only way," Ash said reluctantly. It was currently 9:00 AM so Ash was getting hungry; he hadn't eaten in more than two hours! Meanwhile, with Misty still asleep, Ash took out her sleeping bag and rolled it out. Then Ash picked up Misty and set her into her sleeping bag so she would be comfortable while she was asleep. With Misty in her sleeping bag, Ash went over to help Brock with the food.

Then the Pichu walked over to Misty and said to her,

"Pi chu pi!" which meant, "You're having a dream." Somehow the Pichu knew this, maybe because it was different; who knows. But still Misty didn't wake up.

But what they didn't know was that at this very moment, Misty was having her dream. In her dream, she was in the Cerulean City hospital and was talking with the doctor. It would be at least another seven hours before Misty woke up, and you already know what happened after that.

I can't believe it but I'm actually sad that it is over. I loved writing this story, but what I love more is your reviews.
