AN: Hi everybody! Thanx for the (1) review so far! Well, Joltmaster hasn't updated recently, so this may come with a lot of other chapters, but meh. If I owned pokemon, Team Aqua would beat Team Magma every time. CHAPTER 4 May was still sitting at her post when Satoshi arrived. “You’re still here?” he asked. “Well yes, what do you think?” “Misty said something happened to you!” “Well I told you she was a dirty rotten liar,” she retorted confidently. “I’m not so sure about you two…” Ash replied with uncertainty. * * * Kasumi was still chasing Ash’s trail (Ash had outbiked her a while ago) when his bicycle tracks came to a split in the path. The tire looked exactly the same in both directions. One side led the way Misty had come from before, and the other led into a forest in the opposite direction. But it didn’t matter. She would examine the duplicate path later. * * * Back at Ash’s summer house after biking back from the fire, Haruka and Ash were finishing up their normal hygenial activities when Delia shouted out to them. “Kids, we need to talk about this!” “I’ll be right down,” Ash called as he bolted down the stairs and landed on his butt. “Ouch!” he cried out. He was about to get up when May whizzed passed him. He thought he saw her pocket a strange gadget while she passed him. * * * Misty wished she’d stayed home when the smoke’s smell had reached her house. She was exhausted by all the running she had been doing, Ash was nowhere to be seen (or May, for that matter), and the sky was darkening. A bolt of lightning flashed across the sky. (“Crap!”) Ash and May were either dead, or back at his house. Misty made the smart choice and turned back. * * * “I have no problem with May staying here with us. I filed the reports with Officer Jenny and there’s nothing wrong there. The head policeman said we could legally adopt you,” Delia pointed at Haruka, “as long as everyone in the family and you agreed.” “I accept,” May said happily. “Fine with me,” said Ash, somehow keeping any signs of excitement or boredom from his face. May stared out the window of her new home. What she saw brought a half- grin to her face. She wouldn’t have to kill Kasumi. This storm definitely would. * * * There ya go!
