Still there? Good. We're just starting to get to the good part... Almost halfway done after this, just 6 more chapters and an epilouge... Disclaimer: Guess. CHAPTER 5 “Brrrrrrring!” Misty switched on her cell phone. “Hello?” “Hey, Misty. This is Brock. You called?” “How’d you know?” Kasumi asked while still running. “You said ‘What is the world coming to’, silly!” “Oh, oops. Well, I better be going, I’ll call you back later. I’m running in the middle of a storm.” “You do have a Manectric, right?” “Well duh, you gave it to me!” “Send it out!” “Ookay. Go, Manectric!” The small electric pokemon appeared from a flash of light. “So what do I do with it?” “Use Lightningrod, the special ability!” “Good idea! I owe you one! See ya Brock!” “Bye, Misty.” * * * “This double battle match between Ash and May will now begin!” Delia was reffing the match in a new battle room built into the back of the Ketchum “I’m warning you, Ash, we’ve trained nonstop since the Battle Frontier! Go, Blaziken! Come on out, Venusaur!” May shouted. ‘Pfft…’ Ash thought. He was as always underestimating his opponent. “Alright! Go, Torkoal and Corphish!” He grew even more confident because of his type advantage. May had trained nonstop, however, and her pokemon were much more powerful than Ash’s (wow). “Try Flamethrower and Crabhammer on Venusaur and Blaziken!” May smirked. This would be easier than she thought. “Venusaur, Blaziken, switch places! Venusaur, Razor Leaf now! Blaziken, you use Slash on Corphish!” The leaves sliced at the crab-look alike and rendered it helpless. They also sliced Torkoal, although they only bounced of his shell. Blaziken’s Slash finished Corphish off (“Corphish is unable to battle!”). Ash’s Pokemon’s attacks did a very small amount of damage, unfortunately for him. “Oh, crap…” he moaned. “Torkoal, use Overheat! Direct it at full power towards Venusaur!” May rolled her eyes. “Venusaur, Body Slam Torkoal before it can do too much damage! Blaziken, copy Overheat with Mirror Move and then use it!” To cut a long and painful story short, it was far too much for poor Torkoal. “Torkoal is unable to battle! May wins!” Delia shouted. “Good try, Torkoal.” Ash took out his Pokeball and gave the Tortoise pokemon a nice long rest. “Wow, May! Good job!” He turned and sulked away. * * * Later, Ash was strolling down the hall when he say Haruka fiddling with something. “So, how’d you like our new battle room?” Ash asked to May, trying to get her to turn away from the strange object. “Nice!” she said, while pocketing the gadget. “It could be better, though…” * * * Misty finally arrived at the Pokemon Center. It was very late, so she decided to spend the night there. She decided to check the strange trail the following day… * * * Kasumi got up bright and… very late. It was already ten-thirty! She rushed out the door and started to follow the bicycle tracks again. But this time, however, she was armed with her trusty bike. * * * Misty Waterflower didn’t like forests much, but now she was in one. The strange tracks had led right into the one she was in at the moment. There were Bug Pokemon everywhere, and Kasumi thought she was going to freak out when she saw a clearing up ahead. It was strangely dark. Kasumi pedaled towards a weird tree in the middle of the odd meadow. All of a sudden, the ground caved in and the redhead and her bike fell into an odd cavern. Something hit her from behind, and she was knocked unconscious. * * * How'd you like it? Review by pressin' teh button on my author screen!
