Mysti Falls Part 1 Ash walked proudly down the worn dirt path. He liked nothing better than going to League Tournaments, and here he was, already on a new adventure. Ash was finally heading to the great Sliver Championship, where he and his famous Pikachu would show those in the Silver Mountain Range why his name was respected so much. With him on his journey were an older gym leader, Misty, who specialized in training water Pokemon, and another gym leade,r Brock, who trained Ground types. The three had been all over the world together, helping each other reach goals and win badges from other gym leaders. Now that Ash had sixteen badges, he was ready to participate in the final tournament. To bad it was on the other side of the country! “Ash, where exactly is this tournament?” Misty asked Ash. The handsome young boy was walked ahead of her and Brock. “No idea,” he replied casually. “I figure that we can ask questions when we get to Johto. I’m sure it won’t be difficult to find someone with a map.” “Don’t we have a map?” “No, I used it for toilet paper that time that we got lost in the mountains.” “Maybe that’s why we were lost that time.” “Maybe.” “Do you realize that we have to go through those same mountains to get to Johto?” “We’ll take the train from Saffron City.” “Using whose Rail Pass?” Ash stopped walking and turned to face his friend. “Misty, when we get to Johto, we’ll figure it out. Enjoy the nice scenery.” Brock shook his head. This is why they always got lost. Asking for directions when they get to the destination did not help the fact of being lost for days. The group decided to travel in silence. Not because of the fighting, which happened a lot, but because of the fact that Ash started to see a change in the ‘nice scenery’. Bad weather was not usually a good thing for those traveling on the road. “Great,” he mumbled. “Rain.” “I like the rain,” Misty piped. “I like when it comes down in sheets. First it’s not there, and suddenly you’re engulfed by it. The beauty as it-“ “Stop being so poetic. It’s rain,” Ash rolled his eyes. Misty had a bad habit of rambling on for hours and hours about what she liked best. And rain really got her going. “This looks bad,” Brock warned his friends. “We’ll have to get out of this storm, and quick. The trees won’t be enough of a shelter, so start looking for a cave.” The young trainers never questioned Brock’s authorities when it came to surviving Mother Nature. This was something he understood, and if Brock said that the storm was so strong that a cave would be safest, then Ash and Misty would find a cave. After a few minutes of looking around the forest they were walking through, Ash returned to the path. The other two were still searching. Ash wanted to look for them and tell them that there was no hope, and they weren’t near enough any mountain to find a cave. Maybe a hole in the ground, but certainly not a cave. Misty came running to him and met him on the dirt path. “Rock found something.” “A cave?” Ash was amazed. Misty shrugged. “Not quite. Follow me.” Ash ran as fast as he could after his friend. She was fast! Ash couldn’t help but admire her skills in the wild, whether it was camping, running, or fishing Ash stopped behind Misty, who had halted suddenly before him. He peeked around her to find the oldest tree he had ever seen. The size of the trunk suggested it was about two hundred years old. From underneath him, Ash heard a voice. “Down here! Hurry!” Ash looked down and a head popped up in front of the tree. “Hey, Brock.” “Quickly, the storm will be here any minute!” Ash realized that a small cavern was under the roots of the giant tree. It must be the size of a large bedroom; maybe even bigger! Ash thought excitedly. And as thunder clapped in the heavens and a downpour started, Ash and Misty climbed into the tree’s shelter. Keep reading my story! This is part one, so there is more to come. This was based on a dream I had years ago. I wanted to put it on the Tower but I had never typed it. When I finally did, I forgot all about it. Then I entered it in a guild newspaper on Neopets after converting it into Neomon! Now that it’s Pokemon based again, I’ll start posting it. To let you know, in the next part I will introduce three characters based on me, Lisa from the Trios’ Trilogy, and our friend George. Be warned- this is a tragedy. Bad things will happen to some of your favorite characters. *~Dani
