Trios' Trilogy Book One: Trios' Time By Mittens Part Three Something Different Ash- 13 Misty- 14 Brock- 17 Danielle- 12 Lisa- 13 Keith- 11½ Gary- 14 Chapter One (There’s only one XD) It had been two years since Lisa, Danielle, and Keith had started their journey in Pallet Town. Danielle had fallen out of love with Keith, treating her two companions like siblings more than friends. Keith was a bit less annoying, finding that he enjoyed capturing fire Pokemon and training them up to their potential. Lisa loved the idea of perhaps having a breeding center when she grew older and had been accepted into the Pokemon League. They were currently heading to the seventh gym on Cinnabar Island. “Are we there yet?” Keith moaned. I only said he was a little less annoying so don’t blame me. His companions rolled their eyes. “From what; the island or the ferry?” Danielle responded. She hadn’t changed much either. From the sun and her mother’s genes, her hair was naturally getting red and blonde hilights. She looked rather lovely if I do say so myself… “I mean the ferry.” “Hmm… I guess one hour.” Okay, two years ago, the two would have been fighting. They grew up a bit after all that time together =D “And it’s a one day ferry ride,” Lisa added. “Damn,” Keith muttered. “I think we should hurry, we’re already late to the ferry,” Lisa said, and the three took off at a sprint. After a few minutes, Danielle, who was leading, stuck out her arm. Keith ran into it. “What was that for?” Keith asked, rubbing his neck where his friend’s arm hit. “We’ll never make it at this rate,” Danielle rummaged for a Pokeball. Lisa caught on, and then Keith realized it, after both his friends had released their Pokemon. “Fearow!” Danielle hopped on his back. “Pidgeotto!” Lisa petted her newly caught Pokemon. “Charizard!” Keith’s starter Pokemon roared as the three friends took off into the air, heading towards the shoreline in the distance. The three couldn’t wait two more days if they missed the boat now. Thankfully they didn’t have to, and landed on the docks a half of an hour later. They withdrew their Pokemon and handed their tickets to the ticket master. A young man showed them to their room. “Finally,” Danielle murmured, happy to be near the ocean again. “I thought I’d never see the shore again!” “Let’s unpack Dani,” Lisa said to her friends. Keith nodded and started pulling things from his bag, but Danielle merely sat on her bed and gazed out the window. They were distracted a moment later by a conversation in the hallway. Then they heard what sounded like a fist-fight. Dani grabbed her starter’s Pokeball and ran to the door. Lisa stood next to her. “So Ashy-boy, you’ve grown up,” a young man said. Someone fell down. “Nice to see ya, Gary,” a boy muttered. “If you suck at fighting man to man, I wonder what your Pokemon battles are like!” “Haven’t you insulted enough people today, Gary?” A girl spoke this time. “Aw, it’s Ashy’s red-haired bitch. How are you, me dear?” Ash and Gary began to fight again when Dani burst out of the room, Lisa at her heels. There were two boys on the ground, one with messy black hair and the other with brown. Standing was a shocked looking, older, orange-haired girl with a taller man with slit- like eyes. A group of six cheerleaders stood behind the brown haired boy. “What’s going on here?” Danielle asked. The brown haired boy stood and brushed dirt off his shirt. “Just a reunion with some old friends,” he replied sweetly. “I’m Gary,” he added, offering her his hand. Lisa took it. “I’m Lisa, and this is Dani,” she indicated her companion. Danielle didn’t smile. Gary, on the other hand, grinned. “Don’t like me?” he asked. At that moment Keith burst out of the trio’s room. “What did I miss?” No one responded. The black haired boy named Ash tugged on the sleeve of the older, dark skinned boy saying, “Brock, stop staring at that Lisa-girl.” Brock nodded absently. Danielle, turning back to Gary, decided that she wasn’t going to join Gary and his cheerleaders. She wanted to travel with Ash, Brock, and the girl with the side ponytail. “Say,” Gary started. “Why don’t you, your brother,” he indicated Keith, who was still very confused, “and this pretty little miss come with me. I’m Professor Oak’s grandson, and I know a lot about Pokemon.” He smiled at Lisa and she blushed. “I’d love to give you some tips.” “I don’t think I’d like to travel with someone who calls a beautiful girl, ‘bitch’,” Danielle said, equally sweet. Lisa pinched her hard. “I don’t think she’s a dog, and you wouldn’t be good enough for any animal or Pokemon anyway so I don’t see why you’re insulting her.” Gary growled, his face red. The six cheerleaders frowned at the young girl insulting their Gary. “I have an excellent reputation. And I’m excellent at ruining reputations. You have things I want,” he eyed Lisa’s Pokeballs. “Dare to mess?” Danielle didn’t like being threatened. She lunged in at Gary, her fist colliding with his solar plexus (In case you were wondering, being hit in the solar plexus not only hurts like crap, but it knocks the wind out of you for two or three minutes. Trust me, I would know L). “Run!” She shouted. And the three took off with Ash, Misty, and Brock behind them.
