THE GAME
CHAPTER ONE
A NOT-TOO-RUSHED FEW

Rai Tsukururi sat up in bed, looking at her clock. It was 4:00 AM, too late to sleep.
She looked at her dresser. Six Pokeballs sat, and she visualized her team. 
Pidgeot, Rapidash, Ryhorn, Blastoise, Raichu, and Dragonair.
"Perfect, for now." she muttered, pulling on some clothes 
and creeping outside.

She looked up at the sky. Even from a great distance, the black cloud over 
Shirona could be seen. The Player's List was found only a week ago 
by a news reporter. When the black cloud appeared over Shirona,
it was made clear that such a prophecy must be true.

Kerry Tsukururi sat up and yawned. She looked over at her clock. It was 9:00 AM. 
Her three Pokemon,  Hoot-Hoot, the one-legged owl Pokemon, 
Suicune, the legendary dog of ice, and Furret, a ferret-like Pokemon, 
the evolved form of Sentret, a racoon-like Pokemon.

She thought about the two hundred who were going to the Shirona continent.
She was amongst those two hundred. The SS Misty, the ship that would
take her and many others to the continent, left in... fifteen minutes.
"FIFTEEN MINUTES!" she screamed. 

She pulled on some clothes, grabbed her Pokeballs, and ran for the door,
trying to avoid waking up her older sister, Rai. She ran like mad to the
dock, which was fortunately in her town.

Korey Woodard looked over at his clock. He had been awake for some time,
but was in no rush to get to the ship. His father owned the SS Misty, and the
dock, and the whole town for that matter. Korey the millionaire. 

He looked over at his dresser, where six Pokeballs sat. 
Rhydon, Nidoqueen, Onix, Golem, Charizard, and Jigglypuff.
He smiled. Jigglypuff didn't seem to match his "ruff-and-tuff" 
Pokemon team, but it was actually a very strong Jigglypuff.

He looked back at his clock. 7:00 AM. 
He would wait a few more hours before he went to the dock.
