Chapter 2- "Rockets Rockets Everywhere" Bobby and Lilly are enjoying the scenary has they make their way through 2 towards Viridian Forest. Or atleast Lilly is. Note: Laneve Town lies 3 miles east of Viridian Forest and 30 miles southwest of Celedon. "This place is beutiful" Lilly states, admiring a small patch of flowers over towards the left of her. "Yeah…I guess." Bobby states with his head hung. "Whats a matter?" Lilly questions Bobby. "We havn't seen any Pokemon since we left Laneve. To be a great Pokemon trainer, I need more than just Abra, who doesn't even know any moves." Bobby says, not looking up. Lilly hears a noise behind her. When she looks, she sees a small orange Pokemon. "What about that thing Bobby." Lilly says pointing at the Pokemon. Bobby pulls out his PokeDex and aims it towards the orange fox-like creature. "Vulpix" the PokeDex says in a mechanical voice. "The Fire Fox Pokemon. This Pokemon is raised for beuty contests more than Pokemon battles. It has six tails but grows more has it gets older. if you touch it's tail, you will have bad luck for a thousand years." "Thats a long time to have bad luck." Lilly says, looking at the Pokemon, which has a small apple in its mouth. "Then I'll be careful not to touch its tail. But I got to catch it." Bobby sternly says taking Abra's Pokeball off his belt. "ABRA GO!" The Vulpix looks up has Abra appears a few feet infront of her. zthe Vulpix gulps down the apple then takes a fighting stance. "How are you going to fight it Bobby?" Lilly asks. "Abra doesn't know any attacks other than Teleport." Bobby thinks for a moment then snaps his fingers. "I got it. Abra, Teleport repetedly to confuse the Vulpix." Abra begins to Teleport from one place to the other, Vulpix tries to do ember, but doesn't even come close to Abra. After a few minutes of this, Vulpix started to get tired. "POKEBALL GO" Bobby yells, tossing a vacant PokeBall at Vulpix. It hits the Fire Fox and sucks it into the ball. The PokeBall dops to the ground and begins to shake. Bobby and Lilly stand there motionless for what seems like hours watching the ball go back and forth. Finally, the ball stops and the small yellow light goes out. Bobby slowly walks up to the ball and picks it up. "I……I caught it." Bobby says, astonished. He then gets a smile from ear to ear then begins to jump up and down. I CAUGHT IT, I CAUGHT VULPIX!!" Lilly watches on has Bobby celebrates. She smiles and walks over to him. "Settle down. You had a great strategy, but now you have a tired Vulpix and dizzy Abra." Lilly says pointing at Abra, who can barely stand up. "We better go to the PokeCenter in Viridian City and heal them. Bobby nods and calls Abra back. Bobby and Lilly then begin to run towards Viridian City. They arrive at the edge of the city around 4pm. They look around for the PokeCenter. "There it is." Lilly exclaims, pointing towards a large, two story building several yards away. There is a large wooden sign with the words POKEMON CENTER painted in black on it hanging in the half way up the building. Bobby and Lilly run into the building and up to the desk. Sitting there at her PC, is Nurse Joy. "Hello, welcome to the Viridian Pokemon Center. May I help you?" Joy says, smiling at Bobby and Lilly. "Yes, can you heal my Pokemon. My Abra is real dizzy and Vulpix is tired." Bobby says handing his Pokeballs to Joy. Nurse Joy takes them and smiles again. "Dont worry. They will be alright. This shouldn't take too long." Joy comments has she walks into a room with a sign that says General Healing on the door. After only five or six, Joy walks out and hands Bobby his Pokeballs. "Your Pokemon are fully healed and ready for battle." Jy says, giving the peace sign. "Thank you." Bobby says has he puts his Pokeballs back into their slots on his belt. He then turns to Lilly and looks at her. "Lilly, you never looked to see which Pokemon you got. Lets see what it is." Bobby remarks and points at her Pokeball. "Good point. Lets see what I got." Lilly answers. Before Lilly can take the Pokeball of her belt, there is an explosion at the enterance of the PokeCenter. Smoke fills the room and two silhouette appear. "Prepare for disaster." A female voice shouts. "And to meet your master." a male voice follow. "To infest the Earth with inihillation…" "To steal all Pokemon within this nation." "To destroy the evils of truth and love… "To ourselves known in the stars above." The smake clears revealing a guy and a girl, about 16 years old. "Jill" "Matt" "Team Rocket, stealing everthing in sight…" "Surrender you Pokemon now or get ready to fight." A Meowth jumps infront of them and crosses his arms. "Meowth Junior………THATS RIGHT!" It exclaims Everyone stands motionless, looking at the three standing infront of them. (Note: There are several other trainers in the center as well) "Its time you all hand over your Pokemon or feel the wrath of Team Rocket." Matt demands, holding a bag in the air. "Deposit all your Pokeballs in this bag or I might get mad." Jill say clenching her hand and making a fist. Both Team Rocket members are wearing black uniforms with red Rs on them. Jill has long blonde hair tied into a pony tail and is wearing purple lipstick. He is built like the ideal woman [ ) ( ]. and Matt has short military cut, black hair and a gotee. He is kind of muscular, but not really. "And believe me, she isn't cute when shes angry." Meowth Jr. jokes. Jills clubs him over the head with a baseball bat. "Shut up you stinking alley cat before I send you flying to the moon." Jill screams at the poor cat pokemon. Has Meowth and Jill argue, Bobby and Lilly are talking quietly. "Who are these clowns?" Bobby asks. "This is Team Rocket. They make a living off of stealing peoples Pokemon. But these two buffons must not be very good." Lilly explains. After a moment of silence, Bobby pulls out his PokeDex and points it at Meowth. "Meowth, the Stray Cat Pokemon…" the PokeDex begins. "It can usually be found roaming the streets at night looking for coins. Its Pay Day attack leaves change scattered all around. Meowth is a favorite Pokemon of Team Rocket." When Bobby looks up from the PokeDex, Team Rocket is standing infront of him. "OK kid, hand over your Pokeballs." Jill snaps, reaching for Abra's ball. "NO…I just got them!" Bobby yells, trying to get away. Vulpix's Pokeball drops off Bobby's belt and opens, releasing the fire fox. "Vul..vulpix." It exclaims happily. Then it sees Team Rocket trying to take Bobby and Lilly's Pokeballs and gets mad. "Come one kids, gives up your Pokeballs." Matt demands. "Dont make me have ta use my claws." Meowth threatens. Suddenly, from behind, Team Rocket hears something and turns aound. Vulpix is standing there with a determined face and in a fighting stance. "Ha…look at this little thing." Jill laughs. "It thinks it can stop us." "We will squash it like the little fire bug it is." Matt jokes. "Meowth." Meowth Jr. meows sarcastically. Matt and Jill both take a Pokeball off their belts and toss them out. "POKEBALL GO!" they both exclaim. The Pokeballs open and the two Pokemon bgin to take form. From Matt's Pokeball, a short creature with a very muscular body has appeared. and from Jill's ball, a bat has taken form. "What are those." Bobby asks while taking out his PokeDex once more. "Machop, the Super Power Pokemon. This Pokemon takes pride in its body. it practices all forms of matials arts and packs a powerful karate chop. Zubat, the poison bat Pokemon. Usually found in dark places, this Pokemon only comes out at night. It uses Supersonic to confuse its opponent before attacking." the PokeDex recites one after another. "Hey Lilly, Vulpix cant handle both of them, call out your Pokemon." Bobby says. Lilly tosses here Pokeball and from it, a purple ball with green leaves pops out. Team Rocket begins to laugh. "You think you can beat us with an Oddish." Matt exclaims histerically. "Thats puny thing couldn't even beat a Magikarp." Jill jokes. "We'll see about that." Lilly retorts angerly. "Oddish use Stun Spore." Lilly demands. "Use Flamethrower, Vulpix." Bobby tell the Fire Fox. "Machop, chop them down to size with Karate Chop." Matt says while ponting at Oddish." "Zubat, go Supersonic." demands Jill. Oddish's Stun Spore keeps Machop from carrying out Matt's request while Vulpix begins to toss flames left and right, trying to hit Zubat, but Zubat dodges and uses Supersonic, confusing Vulpix. "Now use Bite, Zubat." Jill calls out. "Watch out Vulpix!" Bobby yells, but its too late. Zubat has bitten Vulpix and won't let go. Suddenly, Oddish hits Zubat with Absorb, causing it to let go. Oddish had just finished off the paralyzed Machop, who Matt was cradling now. "What happened in your fight?" Bobby asks. "Oddish used absorb on Machop. Oddish is now Supercharged with energy. Lets attack that bat together" Lilly explains. Bobby nods. "Vulpix, Fire Spin!" Bobby says. Oddish, stun that thing with Stun Spore." Oddish paralyzes Zubat, keeping it from getting out of the Fire Spin. But the huge fire tornado gets so big, its busts through the PokeCenter's roof. Team Rocket gets caught up in the fire and goes shooting up in the air. "Thats the biggest Fire Spin I've seen done by a Vupix." Matt says in pain. "That Vulpix is strong, we must get it." Jill bellows. "But not right now cause…" Meowth begins. "Team Rocket is taking off again." They all finish has they dissapear in the sky. "Wow!" Nurse Joy exclaims has she pops out of the rubble. "I've never seen quite a move like that." "I just caught it too……and it does an awsome Fire Spin like that." Bobby say astonished. "I'm just happy I called Oddish back before she got caught in that giant fire twister." Lilly says releaved. "it looks like we totally destroyed the PokeCenter. Sorry Joy." Bobby appaulogizes. "Thats OK. This is the second time this place has been blown up this year. It will be repaired in no time." Joy says giving a peace sign. "And besides, we got rid of Team Rocket." Lilly adds. Officer Jenny then pulls up followed by several police cars. "What has happened here?" Jenny asks Joy. "This children just saved the Pokemon from Team Rocket." Joy says pointing towards the two blushing kids. "Good job. But this is the 10 Team Rocket attack today. Every trainer in town has been helping to stop them." "These kids did goo Jenny." Joy explains. "It was that Vulpix whos Fire Spin defeated the Rockets and destroyed this place." "Thats a powerful Vulpix if it can make a Fire Spin that strong." Jenny exclaims. "Gee, I guess I did good when I caught my Vulpix." Bobby says has Vulpix jumps into his arms and licks his face. Quit it Vulpix." Bobb laughs. "That tickles." Lilly walks up and pets Vulpix has everyone laughs. Later that day, Bobby and Lilly are walking back down route two towards Viridian Forest again. "What a day this was." Bobby says looking at the Pokeballs containing Abra and Vulpix, hanging at his side. "Yep. I think we both found out how strong our Pokemon are today. Expecially your Vulpix." Lilly says, butting her arms behind her head. "I wonder if we'll see Team Rocket again." Bobby asks. "I dont know." Lilly answers. "But lets not worry about them. Lets go catch more Pokemon." Bobby and Lilly begin running again. They run right towards Viridian Forest. Greg then appears, watching the two run. "He might just be good compitition now. Huh Sandshrew?" Greg asks his Sandshrew. "Shrewwwwwwwww!" It answers. Greg and Sandshrew then begin to walk towards the Viridian Forest themselves. Bobby gets a Vulpix, who seems to be more powerful than a regular Vulpix. Bobby and Lilly defeat the infamous Team Rocket and I'm sure we'll see Team Rocket again. But why is the arrogant Greg seem to be following Bobby and Lilly? Maybe we'll find out in the next chapter.
