Naivete

"You're weird."

She frowned down at her male partner angrily, her normally soft sapphire orbs narrowed in annoyance. Her male partner blinked twice in surprise at her abrupt comment and he laid his hands in his lap. In one hand, he held a damp rag. In the other, a small collection of round, shiny bottle caps.

"Why?"

The woman's eyes narrowed into thin, irritated slits. "You're playing with such pointless things."

"I wouldn't call them 'pointless'." he said defensively, narrowing his emerald eyes to match her objection to his hobby. "It's fun."

She raised her eyebrows in an unbelieving manner.

"I don't see how washing something could be fun," she commented snidely. Her ruby red lips formed into a smirk.

"It makes them all shiny," he giggled innocently. He proceeded to wash one of his treasures as she continued to frown down at him.

"You would like shiny things," she muttered, a snide little smile on her lips. He twitched, offended. The man glared up her with a childish pout, but said nothing. The woman lifted her hand to her forehead and shook her head. "All right, forget I said anything."

"Why did you bring it up, anyway?" he grumbled, still offended by the implications of her comment. She tapped her foot on the dirty, leaf covered ground absentmindedly.

"No reason, I guess. It just seems like a stupid hobby."

His eye twitched, but he remained restrained.

"As if your hobbies are interesting," he replied snidely. He looked up at her from his place on the ground, and on his pale lips was a thin, brazon little smile. "All you do is look in the mirror."

She didn't seem at all offended. In fact, she looked rather pleased with herself. She smiled, and brought her hands up so that her large breasts' size were emphasized by the way her arms were raised so that they reached over her head, but came down at the elbow so that her hands were behind her head. The position she stood in was an attempt to make herself appear sweet and innocent, but her male friend knew better.

"Ara ara, just because I'm beautiful doesn't mean you should get so vitriolic ..." she said, elongating her words so that they sounded cute and a tad sexy. She smiled childishly. "Ne~?"

"And you call me weird," he commented bluntly, returning his attention back to his trinkets. She angrily stamped her foot.

"What!? Are you saying I'm weird?" she asked, offended. The anger in her voice rippled and exploded, but she made an attempt to keep her voice down. It was a warm, autumn day and people might be close by. If they saw what the pair of friends were wearing, the two would should be arrested. Their uniforms were from a well-known, evil organization.

"Yes," the man said, an annoyed expression on his beautiful features. "Very weird."

She fell to her knees behind him and leaned against him, frowning sourly. "You're so mean!"

She had elongated her words again, and the man knew not to take her seriously.

"Well, you called me weird first," he stated, glancing over at his partner. The woman blinked her bright blue eyes and pouted as a child would. The man rolled his eyes.

"I'll forgive you, if you apologize," she whispered into his sweetly as she wrapped her arms around his neck from behind him. Her firm breasts pressed against his back, and he jolted his head up, a curious blush across his cheeks.

She saw his reaction and she became incredibly amused. She ran her hands along his chest and his blush deepened.

"Ara," she said cutely. "You're such a little pervert~."

He frowned as his cheeks faded back to their normal color. He glanced away and sighed. "Like I said, you're weird."

"Well, you're a pervert," she said bluntly. She leaned forward with her chest, to emphasize her point. He blushed.

"I am not a pervert," he said, irritated. "If anything, you are."

She blinked in surprise. "That's rather rude!"

He rolled his eyes. "I guess you would know ..."

She let her chin rest on his should and she continued to whine. "You're so~ mean."

"Could you please get off," he said, as more of a command than a request. She blinked, and smiled thinly.

"No, I want to watch you clean those things."

He looked at her, a little angry and a little careful. "You said it's a stupid hobby."

"Well, I can't judge it fairly until I watch you do it," she said, smiling widely. She was clearly in this just to get on his nerves.

He frowned angrily. "Why, you little--"

"Ara, you're a pervert and you're mean," she stated, sweetness filling her voice. He blushed again, remembering that the woman's firm cleavage was pressed against him.

"Honestyly ..." he sighed, more than a little annoyed. "You're really a pain sometimes."

"You know you love~ it," she giggled, bringing her index finger to his chin. She ran the finger up his cheek seductively. He blinked as his cheeks flushed with color awkwardly. "C-cut it out!"

She did as she was told hesitantly, but she remained proped up against him. She sighed and smiled as she leaned her head against his shoulder blade.

"Ne," she asked, her tone serious and her smile faded. He glanced at her from out of the corner of his eye.

"What?"

"Would you?" she asked him softly. He raised a curious eyebrow.

"Would I ... what?" he asked, not entirely sure he understood what she was asking.

She smiled seductively as she winked, sending him a clear implication of what her question meant. "You're so naive."

He rolled his eyes as his cheeks turned pink. "What an impudent thing to ask!"

"But, seriously ... would you?" she asked, blinking. His hair stood on end as he attempted to process the question.

"A ... ano ..."

She hugged him tightly, and sighed. "Never mind. It was a dumb question."

She slowly loosened her grip back to its normal strength and let him continue washing his bottle caps. She watched him silently for a few minutes, unsure of what his answer would have been. The curiosity nibbled at her insides slowly, but ravenously, taking huge chunks at a time and swallowing them down before it continued its rampage.

She sighed, and she realized that, if she were faced with the question, she wouldn't know how to answer it either. Her friend was, admittedly, an attractive man, but he was also rather feminine in appearance at the same time. She closed her eyes and sighed loudly.

"You really want to know, don't you?" her friend asked, with a teasing sort of tone. Her silence and the red in her cheeks answered his question.

He smirked. "Well ... I would."

The woman's eyes shot open as her cheeks flushed a dark shade of red. The color nearly matched the color of her long, styled locks of hair.

"What?!"

He ran his index finger down her flustered cheek and winked at her. "Ara ara, you look surprised. Well, would you?"

"Would I what?" she asked dumbly, still a little shocked at his answer.

He smiled a coy, cat-like smile. "Now who's naive?" She blushed furiously.

"Ara ..."

"You would," he answered for her bluntly. He poked her on the nose and smirked knowingly. "I can tell. You want me."

She looked away indignantly. "You're some kind of confident brat!"

He winked casually, as a small giggle escaped his lips, and he put his treasures into a small, wooden box. He closed it and locked it up tightly.

"We're weird," he laughed after a moment, smiling at her. She released her grip around his neck so that she was a mere few centimeters from his back. She stared at him, blinking.

"What's wrong?" he asked after a moment, green eyes wide with confusion. She pushed away from him before she smacked her hands against his shoulders, pushing him to the leaf covered ground by sheer force. He gasped in surprise, and fell over so that his chin was directly on the ground.

He frowned bitterly. "What was that for?"

"For being right," she giggled, not the least bit shyly. She winked over at him. "Ne?"

He pushed himself up from the ground and blinked, drawing a complete blank. He realized what she was talking about and his face turned beet red.

"I was just joking!" he said hurriedly, sitting up straight. His female partner smiled coyly. "Ne~?"

She leaned towards him and he continued to stammer impossible to understand syllables. She wrapped her arms around his neck and smiled thinly, like a content cat, before she pressed her lips to his. He blinked as his face turned impossibly red from the sheer shock of the sudden kiss.

He pushed her away, eyes wide and face twisted in shock and confusion.

"What on earth do you think you're doing?!" he asked, questioning both he and his partner. The woman smirked.

"You really are naive. I was just playing around," she laughed, as she pushed herself from his chest. He blinked awkwardly. "Eh?"

She stood up and dusted herself off. She brushed a leaf off from her tight, white mini-skirt as she smiled down at him.

"You're weird," she laughed again before she turned on her heel and walked off. The man picked up a brittle, cracked leaf from the ground, and crushed it in his palm.
