" Mom! Wake up! Wake up!" " Huh... Hmm? Oh! Yes! Ash, wake up! Crystal's going to get her first pokemon today!" There was excitement in the Ketchum house. As you read, our little second generation of Ash just woke up. Well, for a good reason. Anyway, Ash and Misty waited patiently for their eleven year old girl in the kitchen. They decided not so much pressure would be on Crystal if they were there, watching her pick a pokemon. It was a beautiful day in Pallet Town. The sun was shining, tallows were singing, nothing could possibly go wrong. ( yeah, yeah, yeah, I know, people. Something 'bad' going to happen.) Crystal, was looking forward to see Tracey. The sketcher became the professor after Professor Oak died. Crystal opened the lab door. She took a deep breath. And held it in. Come on, girl, let it out. Ah. Much better. Now where's Tracey? "Professor?" No one answered. "Hmm.. maybe he's out in back. He loves em' all those pokemon... maybe, he won't give me just the choice of a charmander, bulbasaur, or a squirtle......" The black haired girl (just like her daddy....) dashed across the hall way toward the back of the lab. Crystal might happen to come across her friend working her part time job, too. She found them all tied up on a chair. Handkerchiefs around their mouths. "Tracey! Sharon! What happened?" Crystal exclaimed. All the two did was shake their head no as Crystal went toward them. Sharon manage to blow off the handkerchief and cried," Crystal! behind you!" Crystal spun around and saw two kids about her age. One boy, one girl, and an old meoth. "Prepare for trouble!" the girl said. "And make it double, sis!" the boy added. (you know the rest, don't you?) Not paying attention to the rest of the little motto, a thought popped in Crystal's head. Didn't Dad tell her about three criminals ("More like, lunatics, actually," Ash said) who were apart of Team Rocket, tried to steal Pikachu. Having no other plan of what to do, Crystal blurted out,"Team Rocket! Don't you dare steal the pokemon here! If you do I'll.....a.... challenge you to a battle!'' The boy laughed."Very funny, girl. Josie, ya hear that? She's gonna challenge us to a battle. I'm so scared!" "Yeah!" Josie followed."That girl is just here to get her starter pokemon! Ha! Well, any ways, back to stealing the pokemon. "Wait.... were's Meoth?" "Your right. MEOTH!!!!" Josie stepped on Meoth's tail. He let out a yowl. "What waz dat' for? Can't an old pokemon have some rest? Young folks." As Jimmy, Josie, and Meoth carelessly left Crystal alone in the room, Tracey shouted to her,"In that bag! There are pokeballs in there!" Crystal looked down at her feet. How could she have missed it? The young girl bent down and opened the bag. At first, Crystal thought that the bag was going to have three pokeballs in it, just as her father described May finding Professor Birch. Instead, there were what seemed hundreds, and hundreds of them. "Um.... which one do you want?'' Crystal asked like May, not knowing what else to say."There's too many!" "Any of them are fine! Just pick one." Secretly, Tracey wanted Crystal to pick the pokeball with the star design on it. The design was carefully carved by the world famous carpenter. It had stars that were in the legend of Ho-Oh, the legendary bird. (if you care to do, I typed in my version of the legend. Some of it's the same.) Immediately, it had caught Crystals attention. She picked it up, took a deep breathe, and shouted the words she had hoped to say her entire life. "Pokeball, go!" Light came out of the pokeball, and the mystery pokemon was----- well, I'll let you guess until the end of the story. Any ways, the pokemon gave out its special growl, and its gaze fell on Crystal. I hope it obeys me, Crystal hopefully thought. Since she shouted,"Pokeball, go,"obviously the trio in the other room heard her. They were looking for the pokemon. But, all the pokemon were all in the brown bag. (no, not a paper bag.) Have read lots of books, Crystal knew exactly what attacks the pokemon in front of her had. Team Rocket rushed in. They gasped when they saw the pokemon. "It can't be what I think that is---" "Mom and Dad told us this was going to happen---" "Aaaaaah! Dats' a freaky ding' ta ba-hold!" "It's....it's....IT'S------"( ha, ha! You didn't really think I would give it away, did you?) Cystal chuckled."Now you know who I am! Let me finish you off! Thunderbolt!" The pokemon did what was commanded. Oh my gosh, Crystal thought, a real, live pokemon was battling on her side! Team Rocket, as expected, blasted off (again.) Crystal hugged her partner in battle, and untied Professor Sketchit and Sharon. Tracey never had been so happy in his life. Crystal picked the one! As he had guessed way before, she would love it. Sharon was in awe. She showered praises at Crystal and her partner."That was amazing! It's a good thing you read all those books! Come on, go to your house to tell your parents and start your journey!" Crystal smiled."No." "What? What do you mean?" "My dad went on his journey with friends. I want to be just like him." "Of course. Your dad is Ash Ketchum." "You bet. But your coming with me. It's gonna be you, me, some other dude, and our pokemon!' 'Crystal, your the best! I was thinking about choosing my pokemon with you, but I couldn't wait. So, meet Squirtle! I choose you!" The tiny pokemon hopped out, and turned its innocent eyes toward its trainer. "Well then,"Crystal continued,"we better get going!" The two friends rushed down the road happily with Squirtle and if you guessed it, Pikachu. Here's my version of the legend of Ho-Oh. At the beginning of time, there was nothing. But, there were existing things called Lums. (you want to know where I got Lums from? A game called Rayman 2) Lums, at the time, were the only existing of life. Yellow Lums, contained the element of knowledge. Without them, life would be meaningless. Red Lums and Blue Lums created life. Red would restrore energy in life, and Blue would give a newborn its first breathe. They keep their Blue Lum until they die, which then the Lum would find life in nature to bloom. Purple Lums controlled what was solid, liquid, or air. (gas, whatever.) When ready to die, like stars, it explodes and the world would go clear as glass for as long as the Lum explodes. Green Lums would have to do with being reborn. You see, some people or pokemon in the world are given second chances in life or an extra boost to staying alive when dying. For example, let's say a pokemon is about to die. When a heart rate goes down, the Green Lum activates when there is little life left in the body. Last is the most valuable. The Silver Lum. Silver Lums are what give pokemon their incredible powers to fight and servive. Very few humans receive them to gain powers. Some just are given Silver Lums according to prophesies. Now, the Lums focused all their powers on one thing. Polkus. He was given knowledge far beyond the anyone would know. The life in Polkus were almost countless. The powers within were up to extreme. They were to powerful even for him. Polkus created Ho-Oh to keep his power a little less. Lums being out of his body, they scattered all over the world, waiting for someone to find them (1,000 Lums were scattered). Unfortunately, only certain people could find, let alone see the precious beings. Polkus was so powerful, that a single thought could come to reality. Good or evil, no matter what, was to be released, for he could not keep it in any longer. He made pokemon, with their strange powers. In Polkus's mind, he feared that something would rid them. Since that was a thought, it came to reality. When it all powered up, it created humans. The humans caused destruction, and each time they saw a pokemon, they would flee, capture, or injure them. Ho-Oh figured that the humans were made completely out of Polkus's fear of the unkindness that might happen, he made humans a little nicer. Of course, since he still had the fear, some humans remained as they were. Polkus gratefully rewarded Ho-Oh with the gifts of making peace. The first thing Ho-Oh did was make the stars. How did the stars help with peace? Well, it's nice to look at them when lonely. They're other reasons, but hey, we got to move on. Then, since Polkus still had a lot of energy, he put himself in a deep sleep to keep it under control. The only way to awaken him was to find four masks that only fairies knew of. Three masks were protected by guardians created by Polkus. These were in specialty of their own elements. Axel, Guardian of Water and Ice. Umber, Guardian of Stone and Fire. Last, Frouth, Guardian of Rock and Lava. Ho-Oh carried out his duty of peace. But, since he couldn't see the world all at once, he made the Guardians of Peace. The Guardian of the Ocean, Lugia, created Guardians Artiquino, Zapdose, and Moltrase. The Guardians of Land, Entei, Suicoon, and Raiko, created Celebi and Unknown. Latios and Latias were Guardians of the Sky. (your probably annoyed from guardian this, guardian that.) People praised Ho-Oh and built a shrine in his honor. As most of you know, one day, a group of people wanted to use Ho-Oh's power for evil. The bird fled when the group set the tower on fire. Today, some people assume that the evil has killed Ho-Oh. Some say Ho-Oh appears to people as humans, like Latias, in search of the people (or spirits) who set the shrine on fire. The most popular one people think is that Ho-Oh is searching for the Masks and is waiting for the day to reappear to confirm peace. That, my friend, is where the story ends. Like it? If you do, look forward to seeing my next fan fiction, which is a cross over, Find the Links to Peace. Thanks for reading!!
