With the universes of Half-life, Jak and Daxter, Pokemon and Farscape all colliding at once, you'll know they'll be chaos! Having trouble with one of the series/games and what the hell is going on? Go to: www.farscape.com www.half-life.com www.jakanddaxterlegend.com Chapter 1 Gordon Freeman was and always had been a nerd. Hell, he knew it, everyone else knew it, the god-damn planet knew it. But he couldn't care for he was a scientist and a good one at that. He utched his glasses up from the end of his nose and waited for the monorail to get to it's final destination. The calmly sounding voice of the computer was waffling on about how the Black Mesa compound, where he'd been newly recruited to, dealed with certain things and Freeman was bored. "C'mon, I'd like to get where I'm going to. Today!" Freeman said to no-one in particular. Finally, with a huge clunk of machinery, the monorail stopped at the Anomalous Materials department...where he was meaning to go for the past half-an-hour. A guard greeted him as he reached the entrance. "You're late Freeman." He said with a nasty tone. ------------------------------------- Daxter was strange. Well, he was and he hated it. Having loads of excess fur and a tail can have a real crimp on your lifestyle. He moved uncomfortably watching Sandover Village with it's normal lifestyle. Birds tweeted, the sea calmly brushed against the cliffs nearby and the wind rustled through some tree leaves. "Gah! I can't take it anymore! I can't! I can't!" Daxter shouted as he jumped with his weasel features off the stool which he was occupying, "Jak! You gotta do something to stop this boredom!" Jak remained ever silent reading up his books on Eco. The power of the world that he lived in. Daxter leaped on Jak's shoulder and fiddled with the goggles that was on his blonde hair. "Hey, Jak...if you haven't noticed, honey...I'M BORED!!" He yelled down Jak's ear. Jak didn't flinch and Daxter looked at loose ends to see what he could to get his attention. He blinked and finally relented and went back to sitting on the stool and looked back out in to Sandover Village. ------------------------------------- "Hey, Ash, would you mind giving me one of those spanners over there?" Ash, Misty and Pikachu were in the lab of Professor Oak, a leading scientist in Pokemonology. So being because really he was only really one of them. Ash was now at the age of fourteen and had become what he'd dream of being, a pokemon master. He taught those who seeked information...even though he wasn't that bright. He just remembered what Brock had told him. But he'd gotten a day off and he was spending it with Misty and Pikachu. He'd not seen Misty in a long while and she'd changed a great deal. Not just physically but mentally also. Her hair was longer and spikier. They'd found themselves talking a lot better together and not arguing as much. Pikachu hadn't changed though. He was still the same with his little posture and his little cheeks. Well, he was a little stronger anyway. "Right Ash, this device which I've created measures the power of any given attack on a pokemon." Oak said throwing the spanner aside. Misty looked at the strange little contraption. It was a huge glass container with a claw-like device at the top. She poked her head inside and looked up at it. Ash blinked, it'd been four years since he'd known her and she was still wearing those little hot-pants. He shook his head as she turned around. She was, however, wearing a new blue shirt which was quite refreshing. Ash had changed in his appearance too when he thought about it. He was wearing a leather coat now with black jeans. Plus his voice was deeper. "Well, let's try Pikachu then!" He said grabbing Pikachu and putting him in. Pikachu looked on in horror as he shut the door, "Ok Pikachu! Let her rip!" "Pikaaaaaaaaaaaaa!" Lightining began to form on the tail of the small pokemon and with a sudden burst of energy there was a... "CHHHHUUUUUUUUUUU!!!" The electricity surged up through the little pokemon in to the claw above and the display came up on a computer nearby. It said a percentage of what Pikachu was capable of. "50%? That's quite powerful for a little pokemon that wasn't trying much." Misty said smiling. She meant that in a nice way but Pikachu didn't get it. Pikachu surged up again and yet again the electricity went through the claw. It went up in fives very quickly on the screen. "Erm, Pikachu, you can stop now." Ash said hurriedly. 75%. The electricity was forming like a supernova. "PIKACHU! STOP!" Misty screamed. Professor Oak ran to the door and tried to shout to them both to get out. 95%... ------------------------------------- Freeman was now suited up in his hazard suit and took his crowbar with him into the anti-matter chamber. Just in case he had to move anything of course. A huge machine loomed infront of him. It was there for testing materials and see what effects you would get with certain elements at certain electrical charges. "Ok Freeman." A voice boomed on the speakers in the chamber, "We want you to turn on the generator, it should be up that ladder over there." He walked up carefully and noticed a console looking at him. He flicked a switch and lights came on in full force. The generator came on and whirred slowly, eventually it got faster and faster and more electricity sparked up. "Gordon, we need you to push the material into the generator as soon as you can so they'll be coming up soon." The scientist said again on the speaker. Gordon felt like a slave, this wasn't his job! He wandered back down the ladder and noticed a trolley with the element that was going to put in. He carefully pushed the material in... ...and didn't get the reaction he wanted. "There's a malfunction!" A scientist shouted on the speaker. "Shut it down!" Another scientist cried. "It won't! It won't shut down!" "SHUT IT DOWN!" Explosions ripped through the generator and one of them sent Freeman into the wall. He couldn't move and all he could was watch in absolute fear as the generator began to implode on it's self. Green light fizzled and spat like a viper in the white heat. Metal shot out at him and then it went dark and all he could hear was mind-numbing screaming. "Oh god..." He mumbled as he held his crowbar tighter. ------------------------------------- Jak's studies came to an abrupt end when Keira ran in with a worried look on her face, Daxter got up to attention and flexed his puny muscles to see if he could woo her but she wasn't really bothered. Since they were both appointed sages, they had to see to all matters cooncerning Eco and there was a really bad problem. "Jak! There's a problem!" She said, "We've gotta get away from this village!" "What? Why?" Jak said getting up. Daxter looked back out of the window and yelped. "Holy Yakow! How'd they get back out?!" He screamed. Mol and Gaia were coming across on a huge air-baloon destroying everything in their paths. These two were sages also but had been turned evil by dark eco. And thankfully, Jak and Daxter had locked these two in a dark eco vat and vowed never to let them out. Keira and Jak were sages now in the art of light eco and they were pre-destined to protect the world...together. Jak always had to smile at that idea of having a girlfriend and a fellow protector at the same time. They all ran into the main square of the village and Mol and Gaia floated out of the balloon. "Well...*gasp*...if it isn't the blonde boy and...*gasp*...his girlfriend?" Mol managed grabbing ahold of his throat in the process. "This time, we will have revenge! Since we've had time in that dark eco vat, we've had a chance to understand it's powers..." She smiled and raised her hand, "...time to take you guys out of the picture." Her hand pulsed with a dark purple glow and with a huge whoosh of energy, it all hit them with a tremoundous whack. ------------------------------------- Ash rubbed his head, he couldn't remember much but he'd felt as if he'd been run over by a truck. He looked around at his surroundings. Misty and Pikachu were still with him thank god. The rest of his pokemon were still at home so he couldn't use anyother pokemon. Then he looked at the walls...they were beating...like a heart beat. He touched it and it had a spasm. The walls were brown and looked alive. "Guys...I don't think we're in Pallet Town anymore..." He said to no-one in particular. He turned to see a man with a crowbar and an orange suit on. He blinked... "Em yawa mrof yats!" It said in absolute confusion. "Hey! It's ok! I'm not here to hurt you!" Ash said holding his hands up. "Ahw?" The man said lowering his crowbar. Then just to add a little more confusion, a little weasely thing with goggles came in. "Ano ajg akte arw yoh gads?" It said blinking. Ash was totally confused now, what was that thing? A pokemon or a strange creature. "Yas eh did tahw?" The guy said in the suit. Ash suddenly realised what he'd said. With an absolute concentration of mind power, he'd said something he'd thought he'd never say. "Sdarwkcab!" The man blinked. He understood him! With some concentration he managed to say very weirdly... "Backwards!" Freeman said. Daxter was confused. He'd never had been this much in his entire life. The place that they occupied shook erratically and Ash looked at Freeman worriedly. "This is going to one hell of a freakshow." Ash said quietly.
