The Sacred Forest.

NOTE: Please don't go hard on me because of the mistakes you will find. 
English isn't my native language, and since i'm only thirteen it's very hard 
to make a story in correct English.

CHAPTER 1: THE NOTE.
Jessie's P.O.V.

He's gone. No, not gone as in dead. He said he needed some time alone, i 
just can't figure out why. The only thing he left behind was this note for 
me:
Dear Jessica,

We've been together for so long, and i finally decided that i need some time 
off.
I want to be alone for a while. I've got some things to take care of.
It won't take to long, i'll be back in a few days.

James.

Days passed, and still he hadn't returned. Weeks passed as Meowth and I were 
starting to worry. Now, two weeks have passed and still no sign of James. We 
were still waiting in the same cave, hoping that James would return 
soon.'Jessie?' I didn't want to look up from my book, hiding my worried 
face, and Meowth went on. ' I think we have to look after James, he wrote 
that it would only take him a few days.'.' There's only one little problem, 
where is James?!' I shouted at Meowth, that's what i always did when i was 
trying to hide my emotions.' How can we find him if we don't know where he 
is? We don't even know what he was going to do!'.' Meowth scratched my face 
and i was about to kick him when we heared a woman's voice.

'Stop it!' I looked over my shoulder and i saw a woman, probably older then 
i am. She had blue eyes and dark-blonde hair.' Why are you guys fighting?' 
When i looked over at Meowth, i saw drool escaping from his mouth.' Men! I 
will never understand them...' She wasn't half as pretty as i am. She wasn't 
pretty, but something about her sure made her look...kind. Like someone you 
can tell everything, a good friend, someone as kind as James... What?! I 
wasn't thinking that was I? ' Hey girl, who do you think you are?' I was 
somehow angry at her, was it because she made me think about James? ' Yeah, 
what's your name?' Meowth said, still gazing at the young woman in front of 
him. She smiled kindly and answered our question. 'I'm Ai, i live in a small 
village nearby. And who are you?'. ' I'm Meowth! And yes i can talk.' Meowth 
said, but Ai wasn't looking suprised by it. ' And you are?' Now she was 
looking at me. ' I'm Jessie.' .' Now that we're all properly introduced, can 
i ask you another question?' She was a bit shy, she blushed while she was 
asking that question. 'Of course!' Meowth said without thinking, that stupid 
cat was still amazed by that girl. ' Great! I was wondering, you were 
fighting about someone, James right?' I nodded. ' That James, did he go 
trough that forest over there?'. How could we know, he left without telling 
us! ' We don't know...'. ' I hope he didn't, nobody who entered the Sacred 
forest ever returned...'. ' The Sacred Forest, huh?' Meowth looked serious 
now.' They say that a gigantic Pokémon lives in there, and that he eats 
every human that comes near him.' I shuddered at the thought, but the i 
noticed something on the ground.

' It's a map!' I picked it up and i saw that one city was encircled. ' This 
is not good!' Ai ripped the map out of my hand. ' He was going to an area 
near Sunnytown, the only way to get there from here is trough the forest...' 
She was trembling. ' I don't think your friend... Is coming back...' At 
first i was thinking that she was just joking, but i she had a serious 
expression on her face. Even the best actress in the world couldn't copy 
that look. ' No.' I said, i was trying to hold back my tears. ' If we just 
go after him, we will find him!' When i was scared, i always got angry. Also 
when i was sad, hurt, and every other things that could be a sign of 
weakness. ' I don't believe in those stupid legends!'Actually i did believe 
in legends, but they don't have to know that. Suprisingly, Ai agreed with 
me.' If you're really going, first come to my house. You'll need some 
special equipments.' Meowth seemed really scared.' I wanted to search for 
James first but this is getting way too scary! If you just go, i'll stay 
here!'. ' No way! Your coming with me!' I dragged Meowth away. 'Me? You 
gotta mean us!' Ai said to me in a strange exiting way. ' You two could use 
a guide, i know a lot about the legend. And i know how it is to lose your 
love, Jessie...' What the...? ' HE'S NOT MY LOVE!!!'. Man what was she 
thinking, me and James in love? Hah, now that's funny... Did i look to 
concerned?
' Aw, i'm sorry...' Ai was blushing. There was a long silence that ended 
when we arrived in the village where Ai lived.

An old woman approached us. ' Ai, you're back! Who are your new friends?'.' 
This is Jessie, and this is Meowth.'. 'What brings them here?'.  They were 
walking toward Ai's little wooden cabin. ' Our friend James is missing, and 
he's probably stuck in the forest.' I tried to sound as calm as possible, 
what wasn't really calm, though... I couldn't help it, but since James was 
gone i had felt so... Empty. Ai opened the door of her house, the old woman 
wanted to leave, but then she turned back. ' I'm sure you will find your 
friend, you will.' She had the same smile as Ai, so kind it just made you 
feel calm and safe. Meowth and i sat down in the living room while Ai was 
picking a book up that was lying on the table. It said :" Myths and 
Legends". She flipped the pages, till she reached the part that had a 
drawing of a odd Pokémon next to it. ' This is the Pokémon i was talking 
about.' She showed the picture to us. ' Some people said that they saw the 
Pokémon walking near the exit of the forest, but he never actually left the 
forest.' The Pokémon on the picture has long teeths and sharp claws. I don't 
want to think about James getting caught by this beast. I hope we're not to 
late... Damn, now i'm already thinking about it... I just wished that he 
told us where he was going to, together we couldn't be lost. We wouldn't be 
lost, because then, nobody was searching for us...

'Jessie? Are you listening?' Ai looked at me. ' I was asking if you have got 
a picture of James?' I had one. ' Yes i've got it right here.' I found the 
picture burried under make- up. I looked at it...'What's the matter?' Meowth 
and Ai found me blushing. I forgot it was a picture of us two together, in 
that picture we were hugging. Man, like this we did look like, well boy- and 
girlfriend...Aww crap!' Well, are we going to see it today or not?' Well, i 
had to show it. I would just pretend that it was nothing. Maybe they 
wouldn't even notice it... I gave Ai the picure, but unfortunally she was 
noticing. ' It seems you have a little crush on the man, right?' I was 
blushing so deeply, that was even brighter red than my hear. She only knew 
me for a few hours, but she already knew that i had a secret crush on 
James... But wait, how could she know while i didn't. So i was just going to 
defend myself. 'No way! The photographer wanted us to stand like that!' 
Meowth reconized the background of the picture. 'No way Jess, this picture 
was taken in one of those photostand thingies.' He was dancing around the 
room and started to sing
'Jessie and James are sitting in a tree K-I-S-S-I-N ---' He wasn't able to 
finish his stupid song, because i hit him with my mallet, that somehow 
always appears when i need it ^_^*.' YOU STUPID FURBALL! YOU KNOW THAT JAMES 
DOESN'T LOVE ME!' I just realized that i kinda said it the wrong way.' I 
MEAN THAT I DON'T LOVE HIM!' Ai started to giggle.'You guys sure are funny!' 
Her face had that serious look again.' Now we should prepare to leave 
tomorrow. I will pack our bags, you can sleep in the guest-room.'

She showed us the way to that room, it wasn't very big, but it at least had 
a bed. Since we were only staying there for one night, it wouldn't make 
sence to unpack everything. I wished Meowth goodnight, and we both crawled 
in our beds. I tried to sleep, but i just kept thinking about him. James.  
It might sound strange, but when he's not around i always realize how much i 
care about him. I will never admit it, but i really love him... I sat up in 
suprise, was it really me who was thinking that? No, that couldn't be me. 
Who am i kidding, myself? Yes, and i did that for the last few years. But 
still, i will not admit my love. I will not be weak!

James' P.O.V.

I'm surrounded by darkness. I have never been afraid of the dark, but it 
seems more scary when you have nobody to talk to. I wonder how long i've 
been walking around in this forest, i couldn't manage to find out if it was 
either day or night. It was always dark in this creepy forest. I wanted to 
think about me and Jessie, i wanted to find out my true feelings for her. 
But i didn't know that thinking about that included getting lost in this 
stupid forest.  *KRRRR* What was that sound? It must have been my 
imagination... I was just walking on, desperatly trying to find a way out of 
this scary dark forest. I heard another noise, it was closer than the sound 
i heard before. 'Hello? Who's there?' i was getting really scared now. My 
mind told me that it would be just a little Pokemon, a caterpie or 
something.

But i was so afraid that it was something scary, i couldn't help to call her 
name. ' Jessie? Is that you?' I was looking around, trying to figure out 
where the sound came from.
' Jessie? It's not funny, you can come out now!' I was hoping that she was 
actually coming out of the bushes right now, but i knew that it would be 
something scary!
* KRRRR* The sound was coming from behind me, i turned around.
'Huh?' I was suprised to see who was there. ' You? What are you doing here?
