Prologue

	"Ummm, Mom?"
	"Yes dear?"
	"This jacket only reaches the bottom of my ribs.  And the shorts reach
my knees."
	"Thats how it suppose to be Piglo."
	"Mooooommm, don't call me Piglo!  I hate that name!"
	"I'm sorry Piglo, but thats what I call you."
	"Mom, what will I wear under the jacket?  I have no shirts that will
match the jacket and the shorts!"
	"Why don't you wear your black bathing suit under it Piglo?"
	"My bathing suit?"
	"It will look sooo nice together!"
	"Okay Mom, if you say so."
	"Now you remember where you have to go first right?"
	"Yes of coarse Mom."
	"Remember, you go...."

	"First to Pallet to see Prof Oak and get my first Pokemon then along
the paths and routes to all the other cities and towns."  Paige sighed
remembering the conversation with her mother only a couple days ago.
	She rubbed her hands together.  Black gloves which didn't cover
her fingers or her thumb were one of those thing her mother thought that
she should have.  Just like the gray hat on her head.  She sighed again, all
she was doing was following in her parents footsteps.
	"Man, if I ever get a Pokemon, it better be friendly!  I'm starting
to get lonely!"  She said out loud.  She had seen some walked to Pallet, but
she couldn't catch them without a her own Pokemon to weaken them.
	"This bites."  She mumbled, seeing another bunch of Pokemon
in the bushes.  "When I get my first Pokemon, I'll never see any more
Pokemon like I am now.  I know my kind of luck."

	She walked up to the building she was told belonged to Professor
Oak.  Knocking on the door she wondered what the guy was like.
	"Hello." She said as he opened the door.  "Are you Professor Oak?"
	"Yes, and you are?"
	"Paige Heiwa.  My Mom told me I could get my first Pokemon here."
	"Come on in, I may have one I can give you."  Professor Oak said
leading Paige towards one of the doors leading into another room.  He looked
around the room before picking up one of the Pokeballs.  He tossed it to her.
	Paige caught the ball in mid air.  And looked at it.  "What's in it?"
	"A Eevee.  I'm sorry, I should be giving you a Charmander or
something like that, but that Eevee is the only I have left to give."  Professor
Oak said, shrugging.  He tossed her a couple of empty Pokeballs and a
Pokedex before seeing Paige off.
	"Eevee, huh?"  She tossed the ball to the ground and out popped
what Professor Oak had said, a Eevee.  "It's kinda cute.  Eevee, do you
like your Pokeball?"  She watched Eevee shake it's head.  "Okay.  Then
how 'bout you don't go back into it?  I get lonely, and you would be a
perfect pal."
	"Eeeeevvvveee!"  It giggled happily, nodding it's head.

	Eevee was sleeping in Paige's backpack when she arrived at the
Viridian city Pokemon Center.  It was already dark out when she walked
in the door.  She yawned while walking up to counter.
	"Hello.  Can I help you?"  The Nurse asked sweetly.
	Paige yawned.  "Yeah, I need a room for the night.  Got one left?"
She asked, trying the best to smile in her tired state, failing completely.
	"Sure, follow me Miss.....?"  The Nurse asked as she started leading
the way to the room where Paige would stay.
	"Heiwa, Paige Heiwa."  Paige said as they reached their destination.
	"Good night Miss Heiwa."  The Nurse said as she walked back to
her post.
	"Night."  Paige said as she walked into the room.  She flopped down
onto the bed (face down so she wouldn't hurt Eevee) and fell fast asleep.

	Eevee was awake before her.  Paige knew this because it was sitting
on her and watching her as she awoke.
	"Hey there Eevee.  Did I sleep in?"
	"Eeeevvveee!"  Eevee said while nodding.
	"What time is it?"
	Eevee lifted Paige's watch up (yes, it was still on her hand) so she could
see.  She groaned, seeing it was 10 already.
	"Time to get up and try to find some more Pokemon, eh Eevee?"  Paige
asked her only Pokemon while sitting up and brushing her short, dark brown hair.
Her hat had fallen off during the night and was laying on the floor.
	Eevee was now sitting on the floor with her hat in it's mouth.  She
took it from Eevee, thanking it for holding it up for her.  Thats when she
noticed the letters PM on her hat.  It was her mothers idea to get it, she'd
once thought it was just her mothers before hand.  Her mother and father
had both been in the league when she was little.  She had to follow in their
footsteps to ever be the favorite in her family.
	"Whacha think Eevee.  Should we go to Viridian Forest today or just
look around town and have some fun?"
	Eevee thought for a moment.  "Eevee ee vee ee ee vee eevee!"  It replied
finally.
	Paige smiled.  "Fun in the City it is!  Lets go Eevee!  I wanna see the
Viridian fair thats here this week!"  She exclaimed happily while jumping off
the bed and putting on her hat.
	Eevee giggled happily running around her feet as she picked up her
backpack and ran out the door of her room and out of the Pokemon Center.
She laughed as Eevee started to run towards the Fair.
	"Slow down Eevee!  I'm not as fast as you!"  She yelled at her
Pokemon while following it toward the Fair.
	Eevee stopped at the cashier.  Paige caught up and pick Eevee up
into her arms while paying their way into the Fair.  "This place is so cool!
Look at all the rides!  What should we go on first Eevee?"
	"Eeeevvveee ee vvee vee ee eevee!"
	"Right!  The Bumper Cars first!"

	Paige smiled as she watch her Eevee eat some of her cotton candy.
"That was soo much fun, wasn't it Eevee?"
	Eevee nodded, giggling, and continued eating the cotton candy.
	Laughing, Paige picked up her pigging out Pokemon and put it into
her backpack (with the cotton candy, of coarse).  It was 6 pm, they'd been at
the fair that whole day, digging out and going on all the rides.
	Paige started to go off to the Pokemon Center, she wanted to get there
before it closed down for the night.  She still had a lot of time, it shut down
at
10 pm.
	Then, while she was thinking if she go and check out a restaurant,
she bumped into someone.  She toppled over backwards, sending her backpack
out of her hands and her hat to fly a bit over her eyes.  She could hear books
and the person she ran into hit the ground.
	"Oh, geezzz, Paige you ditz!  I'm so sorry!  I didn't mean to run into!
I wasn't looking where I was going!"  Paige started, picking up her backpack
with the confused Eevee in it.  She lifted her hat off her eyes to look at who
she ran over.
	The guy sat there, his books laying all around him, his long black bangs
covering his eyes.  He brushed them out of his eyes to look at her.  He had the
strangest eyes too, one was blue, the other was green.
	"I guess I wasn't watching were I was going either."  He started to pick up his
books.
	Paige started to help him.  Feeling like a total idiot as she did so.  Her
Eevee watched her, then went off to find where the cotton candy had fallen.
	Once all the books were off the ground she gave them back to
the guy.  She looked at one before she gave the last one back.  "Whats this?
Training Pokemon for Dummies?"  She giggled and handed it back.  "Hey,
sorry again.  But as long as your my road kill, might as well put a name on
you, right?  I'm Paige Heiwa, whats your name?"
	"Road kill?  Do I look like that?  I knew I was dirty but..... Anyways,
I'm Gabriel Stone.  Nice to meet you Paige or, run into you."  Gabriel chuckled.
	Paige smiled.  "Well, I better be going off to the Pokemon Center.
Come one Eevee!"  She said while picking up her Pokemon.
	"Will you be in town tomorrow?"
	"I will be going to Viridian Forest tomorrow."
	"Oh, maybe I'll see you there."
	Paige raised her eyebrow.  "Are you saying you wanna be my friend?"
	"Umm, yeah, I guess.  Why, is there something wrong?"
	"I don't usually keep friends."
	"Then I'll be your follower."
	"You can my friend if ya don't slow me down."
	"Then 'til tomorrow."
	"Yeah, bye!"  Paige said as she ran off, leaving a confused Gabriel
behind her.  She ran all the way to the Pokemon Center and to the room she
was using, saying hi to the Nurse as she went.
	Inside her room she placed Eevee down on her bed and took off her
hat, jacket (little note, she never takes off the gloves, weird but kinda cool
looking) and shorts so she was only wearing her bathing suit.  She flopped
down onto the bed beside Eevee.
	"Eevee, do you think you'll like traveling with me?"
	"Eeeeevvvveeee ee ee vee."
	"Thanks, I needed that.  Night Eevee."
	"Eeevveee."

	"Oh my God its almost noon!!  Eevee get up!  We've got to get
moving!"  Paige yelled as she put on her shorts, jacket and hat.  She grabbed
her backpack and Eevee and ran out the door.
	She thanked the Nurse for letting her stay then ran out the door toward
Viridian Forest.  She ran as fast as she could with a sleeping Eevee in her
arms.  Once again she watching where she was going and ran straight into
someone.
	She let out a yelp and tumbled backwards, luckly not dropping Eevee.
Her hat covering her eyes.
	"Geeezzz twice in 24 hours!"
	"Gabriel?"
	"Paige?"
	"Sorry again Road kill!"  She giggled
	"Hey, is that my nickname now?"
	"Yep, gotta problem?"
	"No, but I'd like to know your nickname."
	"Okay.  My Mom always calls me Piglo."
	"Piglo it is then."
	"Thanks Road kill."

	Something was sitting in the bushes watching them.  Two people and a
Pokemon, sat there watching the couple.
	"They're the perfect targets.  They'll catch some Pokemon, and we can steal
them!"
	"Hopefully this plan will work this time."
	"Be optimistic James!  These are kids who have no idea how to battle with
Pokemon yet.  Maybe we'll get lucky and it will be really easy."
	"Maybe...."
	"Just wait until they catch something and you'll see!"
