The wails of the baby woke the local wild Pokemon, their tired growls and snarls evident to their annoyance. Why couldn’t another human just come already? Take the damn nuisance away!? A kind hearted Kangaskhan, taller then most, lumbered over, cocking its head to the side. “Kang?” She inquired, looking around. On the island of Wild Pokemon, hardly any humans ever went father then the little village just teetering on the edge of the island. Why was the little human any different? Bending, it lifted the baby as gently as it could. Its heart swelled. The human baby had the brightest blue eyes, pupil less and just the perfect mix between a blazing aqua, and a sky blue. Loosing her own baby in a battle, The Kangaskhan vowed to keep this one safe. Even from its own kind. It turned, and went back to its den, not seeing the young red headed woman with a white jacket turn away, a valiant capital red ‘R’ on her back, being lead away by a blue haired male, with the same red R on his back. Her baby would be protected by now. Turning back again, the young mother whispered onto the winds, “Good-Bye, my little angel.” Seven Years later… “Charizard! Lemme down!” A young girl squealed, clinging to the Charizard’s large neck, its orange wings flapping beside its body. Circling, the giant Dragon landed back onto the cliff, helping the little girl off it’s back. Giggling, the young girl reached a hand out, her fingers hardly wrapping around one of Charizard’s claws. It was a sign of thanks, and it was treasured. Ever since the wailing baby grew, she grew more prettier then the last day, dark red hair cascaded until mid-back, heavily lashed blue eyes watched the Charizard. “Thank you, friend.” She replied her voice not human, but a fluent Pokemon language. The Charizard nodded its great head, before the old Kangaskhan came rumbling back, quickly scooping the young girl up in her giant hand, and putting her into her pouch. “I thought I told you not to sneak off like that.” She scolded, scared for her “baby”. The little girl huffed before replying, “Momma, I only went for a ride.” She had been taught by all the elders at a early age, how to fluently speak Pokemon. Knowing only a little English, the child grew up fluently speaking many different Pokemon languages. The Island was inhabited by many, if not almost one of every kind of Pokemon ever discovered. The little girl bounced happily as her mother began to walk back. The Pokemon accepted her as one of their kind, when she had been founded by the kindly Kangaskhan. They still had yet to name her. Little did the girl know, that her happy bliss with the Pokemon was soon to become bittersweet. Trouble was drawing neared. As she finally allowed the girl to leave her pouch, she made sure nothing happened to her. She could deal with loosing another child. The girl giggled and squealed, jumping and prancing around with the friendly Bulbasaurs; the routine shadow of a Fearow; it just made it that much better. Finally, she collapsed on the ground, still giggling as two Bulbasaurs nuzzled her neck with gentle, “Bulba”’s. Reaching up, she petted one behind its ears, sighing contently. The screech of the wounded Fearow awoken her from her blissful day dream, the Bulbasaurs scampering away to the well bushed forest. Standing, her eyes scanned for her mother. “Momma!” She cried, seeing a thing she had never seen before, as the bellow of the Kangaskhan triggered her to run. Run towards the thing that was most familiar for her. Not towards the past, her past that she hardly remembered. A/N: Chapter one! C&C welcomed! ^^
