Chapter 3 ~ A Little Faith Goes A Long Way
"Sailor PokéHealer,so you did make it to earth," Kamiya said, sneering. Sami was
kneeling over the girl who was weakening quick. Sailor PokéHealer walked up and
took out a vile of liquid. She put a drop on the wound and it disappeared. The
young girl opened her eyes weakly and looked up at Sami.
"I see you have been keeping up your training PokéHealer," Kamiya said. "No
duh," said Rachel, started to loose intrest in the conversation. "Are you that
Arbok's trainer?," the girl asked. "No he is," said Shuan, sliding his arm around
Sami.
"I'm Karen,a trainer," the girl said getting to her feet. "A trainer huh, could
we battle?," asked Sami. "Well..Ok," she answered. "Um,I'm still here,oh forget
it,"said Kamiya sitting down to watch the battle.
"Winner gets $300 and a bag of Pokémon Chow,ok?," asked Sami. The girl once
again nodded. "Go Sandshrew!," said the girl, releasing a Sandshrew. "Sandshrew
is a ground type,Pookachu is no good against him," though Sami to herself. She
pointed at Sandshrew,"Growlithe gooo!!!!" Growlithe followed Sami's orders,
growling and taking in alot of air to seem tougher.
The Sandshrew seemed convinced, but a little talk with it's trainer got it going
again. Sandshrew,Sand Attack!," Karen ordered. Sandshrew kicked up a cloud of
sand in Growlithe's eyes. But Growlithe had more experiance than that.
Growlithe jumped above the sand cloud and landed nose to nose with Sandshrew.
Sandshrew was dazed, making it a easy target. Growlithe stepped back, raised his
head and lowered it quickly releasing many hot flames. Sandshrew had enough, and
he ran behind Karen's leg.
Karen sighed and returned Sandshrew. "Don't feel bad,I had the advantage," said
Sami. "It's not that,my Sandshrew isn't confident in it's self like your
Growlithe. "So Sami,I see they were right when they said you would be great one
day," said Kamiya. "I now know what I am up against, be ready to die soon Sami,"
he said and walked off.
"He's strange,"Sami whispered. She walked up to Karen. "I'll see you around,"
Karen said and walked away, hanging her head. "Poor kid just needs to believe in
herself,"said Shuan. Rachel nodded,but Sami didn't speak.
The next day they began traveling again. They saw a big building after exiting a
large field. "What is that place," asked Shuan. "Pokémon Academy,it's like a
college for the top Pokémon Tech students. "I wonder if we are allowed in?,"
asked Sami. Rachel nodded.
They walked inside and saw many other trainers. Many had Pikachu's on thier
shoulders. "Ever since that Ketchum became a master everyone has wanted
Pikachus." said Rachel. They walked around in the Great Hall for awhile till
they saw a door. It was ajar a tiny bit and Sami pushed it open. They walked up
a fleet of stairs till they saw what looked like a hotel hall.
They walked through the hall till they saw a open door. They saw a taller girl
inside with Rachel's hair and eyes. She was wearing a black dress which went
past her knees. She was taking down a poster and putting it into a bag.
"What are you doing," asked Rachel. "You aren't supposed to be here," the girl
answered. "We er,got lost," Sami lied. "I'm packing,I am not good enough to be a
trainer anymore," she answered. "N-not good enough, why do you say that," asked
Sami.
"I am loosing my touch,I mean all my friends could get the Graduation Badge, and
I have tried three times and failed," she answered. "So your giving up,why?,"
asked Shuan. "You won't get anywhere by giving up," said Sami.
"I don't know,maybe I could try becoming a trainer the other way,the traveling
way," the girl answered. "Come with us then," said Rachel. She though for a
minute,"Ok" They were just leaving the Pokémon Academy when a wierd fog came in.
It wasn't normal fog,Sami could tell. There was a wicked laugh. Rachel clung to
the girl scaredly. "Is it Kamiya,"asked Sami. "No it sounded like a girl's
voice," said Shuan.
A misty figured appeared. She looked like a girl wearing rags, only made of mist.
"Close,I was sent by Kamiya, and I will destroy you," it said then laughed evily.
"PokéHealer Magic!," yelled Rachel, and she became Sailor PokéHealer. She raised
her hands high in the air,a blue light forming,"Healing Halucination!," she
yelled. She flung the blue light at the mist girl. She fell to the ground but
got up floating low. "Nice trick, but not nice enough," said the mist girl. "Go
Ninetales," yelled the girl. "A Ninetales,Whoa!," exclaimed Sami. "Ninetales
Flamethrower attack!," yelled the girl. Ninetales Flamethrowered, but it wasn't
to effective. Sami's Pokémon were tired out,and Rachel knew her's didn't stand a
chance in thier current condition.
"Have faith in yourself,it's the only way!," yelled Sami to the girl. She closed
her eyes and took a depe breathe. She opened her eyes, which had gone a purple
color. A purple light went around the mist girl, damaging it heavily. She fell to
the ground and disappeared along with the fog.
"That was amazing, psychic powers,!" yelled Rachel. "What is your name anyway,"
asked Sami. "Sal Coldwater............"
