Hey Everybody! Here is Part I of “The Life of a Pirate.” I only have one thing to say, and it seems that I haven’t said it in a while. It is I don’t own Pokemon. Happy Reading! Part I It was night time on the S.S. Pidgeot, and everybody was taking a caulk in their quarters. Ash and Pikachu’s quarters were located below deck, near the bow of the ship, and Misty’s was right next door. Brock’s quarters were not to far from Ash’s and Misty’s, in case of an emergency. Max slept in the look out, because he was responsible if anything came about. He didn't mind sleeping up there. In fact, he enjoyed sleeping in the fresh air out on the sea. He said that it reminded him of home; when he went out at night to just go by the lake of which he owned. All of them knew and understood the sea. They understood its beauty, significance, life in and around it, but they also knew its power. They never doubted or misjudged it. It was clear to them that it was not wise to mess with her when she was angry and ready to strike anyone or anything in her path. When a storm was about and the sea had rolling waves as strong as a Machamp, they handled their ship with the upper most care. They had a prophecy to stick by and to never break: ‘Never mess with the sea, because if you disrespect her, she will punish you ‘till you are banished down to Davy Jones’s Locker.’ It was about sunup down on the S.S. Pidgeot, but not quite yet. Pikachu was up and stirring, moving around from a hard night’s rest. Pikachu was feeling sick all day yesterday for some unknown reason, but it was feeling much better now. It was just a little sore from the night. Pikachu jumped up on the bed of Ash, trying to stir him from his slumber. “[Ash…Ash wake up.], said Pikachu not trying to disturb him too much. Pikachu kept trying to wake him up in the same manner for a little while longer, but it didn’t work. Ash was a very heavy sleeper. He could sleep through a Gyarados rampage. “[Looks like I will have to do it the old fashion way.]” Pikachu said with a smile on his face. “[Piiiiiii kkkkkkaaaaa chuuuuuuuuuu!]” A surge of electricity surged through Ash’s body, immediately waking him up. “What did you do that for?!” Ash said grumpily. “[You wouldn’t wake up.]” Ash seemed like he would be mad for a second, but he just put a smile on his face. “Well, the wake up process hasn’t changed for three years, so why change it now?” He said while holding out his arms, to let Pikachu jump up. They both had bright smiles on their faces from each other’s company. Ash and Pikachu had a friendship that could never be broken. It’s a friendship that doesn’t develop between humans and Pokemon everyday. It’s a type of friendship that every person wish’s they had. The friendship was so strong that they would do anything for each other, no matter the situation. They would even give up their lives for each other. And, their friendship grows stronger each and everyday. This power helps them to succeed in battles that they have to conquer and try to prevail to success. That bond helps them understand each other and know what each other is feeling. It would seem like they had ESP or something to that sort. Nothing could break it…nothing at all. “Let’s go out on deck, buddy. I need some fresh air, and you probably do too after being in here all day yesterday.” “[Yes, I need to get out and move around. I feel like I've been down here forever!]” They went out of their quarters and went to the bow of the deck. It was still dark out, but you could see a brim of light on the horizon. It was light enough to see some details in the sea, but it wasn't bright enough to conceal the nightly air and take away the vibrant feeling of solitude by the sea. Out of all the pirates, Ash and Pikachu enjoyed the sea the most. Just like Max, but more, they loved and respected it. They felt like it was their own back yard, an endless place for adventure and merriment, a place where they felt secure and like they were at home, and a place where they've spent most of their lives… It was their life. “Doesn’t that fresh breeze feel great, buddy?” Ash said with happiness and relaxation in his voice. “It makes you want to stay in this one spot for the rest of your life.” “[Yeah…It’s the greatest feeling in the world… I feel like all of my troubles have faded… All thoughts of foreboding evil and…and any other kinds of trouble have dissipated.]” “…It makes you think about a lot of things… You know what I mean, Pikachu?” “[…Yeah…home…family…friends…all sorts of stuff.]” “…It makes me think of something even more…or I should say someone.” “[What do you mean?]” Pikachu said a little baffled. “…It makes me think of Misty… This feeling… The beauty, freshness, the joy it puts in me…it makes me think of her, and the way it resembles her. The way I feel about the sea, my love, passion, ambition…” Ash turned toward Pikachu. “…I think I feel the same way about her…” He said with all sorts of mixed expressions on his face. “I’m confused Pikachu…are these feelings love…true love?” “[…There is only one thing I can tell you.]” Pikachu said solemnly but with compassion. “[You have to follow your heart. You may feel confused now, but eventually you will realize your feelings for her.]” “But, how will I know, how will I know if this is love?” “[Love is hard to explain with just words…the feeling can pop up on you in an instant with out notice or even consent. But, when you get these feelings and know what they are like, you won’t mind that they barged in with out consent. You’ll welcome them like the feeling was a king, ready to make his kingdom happy, and if all this anticipation is getting to you, that’ll make the feeling all the more better when it arrives… This last sentence I am about to tell you will say it all. ‘Time will tell….only time will tell.’]” Ash smiled at his friend and gave it a tight hug. “Thanks buddy.” Ash then looked back out to the ocean. The breeze was still blowing in Ash and Pikachu’s face, making his hair flow in the direction of the wind. When Ash looked out to the ocean, he seemed to look at it in a different way. With Pikachu’s phrase moving in his mind, he, for some reason, seemed to admire the ocean even more. It seemed like that Ash’s mind thought the ocean and Misty as one. When ever his affection grows for one, the other increases the same…the exact same. Ash still had his gaze out at the ocean, not ever changing, and Pikachu’s phrase was still running around in his mind. He then seemed to murmur the words, in a soft, delicate tone of voice. “Time will tell…time will tell…………” Little did Ash know that, that little phrase will stay with him through his entire adventure, through hard times, joyous moments, and everything in between…but how can a little phrase like that, that seems like it has exiguous meaning, mean so much? How can it apply to so many things in life, that it could change the entire course for one lad? …But may be it does have meaning. There are many other three word phrases that had tremendous amounts of meaning, like ‘I love you.’ Perhaps it’s going to be a little while before we find out. Ash spent a few more moments out there, before he let Pikachu jump on his shoulder and they went inside to plan for the day ahead. Today was going to be a very busy day. How did you like Part I? There is only one way to tell me, and that’s to review. Gotta Catch Ya Later.
