When Two Worlds Meet Pikachu Part 5 Thursday June 29, 2006 Hey all! Now that I have my own computer, expect tons of revisions and updates from me since I can write anytime that I’m bored. It’ll be even more convenient when I get internet to. Oh well. Enjoy the new part! Ash had managed to slowly make his way up to the hospital wing after the Quidditch game, bracing his broken arm so he would not move it and cause himself more pain. Harry, Ron, and Hermione were around him, discussing the match as well as throwing worried looks at Ash. He slightly ignored them as they finally made their way into the hospital wing. Madam Profrey, the nurse, was taking care of a patient with a bad cough when they walked in. She bustled over and peered at all of them. “What can I help you youngsters with?” She inquired. They exchanged glances. Ash held out his arm but also winced in pain as he did so. Madam Profrey raised a questioning eyebrow that vanished after she saw Ash’s Quidditch robes. She nodded. “Broke your arm in the match I’m guessing?” She asked. Ash nodded again. She motioned for him to follow which he did until they made their way to a vacant bed. Ash sat down and Madam Profrey immediately began prodding around on his arm which surprisingly didn’t hurt at all. “You seemed to have hurt yourself pretty badly boy.” She told him disapprovingly. Ash gulped. “You will be able to heal it, won’t you?” Ash asked, worried. Madam Profrey chuckled. “Of course I’ll be able to heal it. I’m not the school nurse for nothing you know. It’s my job to heal.” She chuckled. Behind her, Fred and George rolled their eyes. Madam Profrey pulled out her wand and gently tapped Ash’s arm. His eyes widened as he felt a strange sensation in his arm, like it was being patched together. Madam Profrey nodded approvingly and the sensation stopped. Ash held up his arm and flexed his fingers. He smiled at her. “Thanks.” He murmured. Madam Profrey smiled. “You’re welcome. Do try and keep yourself away from injuries.” She scolded. Madam Profrey then got up and bustled to another bed, where some sort of sneezing was taking place. “Awesome job today Ash.” Fred said approvingly. “Yeah, really spectacular!” George commented. They looked at each other. “I think we should get his autograph before he gets all big-headed on us.” Fred joked. Ash threw a pillow at them. “Oh shut up you two.” He laughed. Fred and George looked sarcastically offended. “Too late.” They replied. They then went out of the room, laughing. Hermione looked after them, disapprovingly. They then all get up and walk out of the hospital wing. Ash was trying to think of what had happened during the game. The events had happened so fast that he had had almost no time to recollect on the previous ones. Hermione looked at him. Ash looked back. “You alright Ash? You’re kind of quiet.” She said. Ash nodded. “Yeah, I’m okay. Good thing to since I have that irritating detention in an hour. Oh how I can’t wait for that.” He replied sarcastically. Hermione gave a faint smile. “Shall we go work on our homework then?” Harry asked. Ash thought about it. “You guys go ahead. I should probably head down to the third floor. The sooner I can get this punishment over with, the better.” Ash replied. The others nodded and walked away. Ash began to make his way to the third floor. Trying his best not to prolong how long he took to get there, he managed to make it so that he arrived 15 minutes prior to when he needed to be there. There he was. Snape was standing on the other side of the corridor with a bucket next to him. Ash slowly made his way towards the end of the hall and up to Snape. He hoped he wouldn’t say anything stupid. “Well Ketchum, I see you made it.” Snape said slyly. Ash fought the urge to roll his eyes. He didn’t want another detention. This one was bad enough. “Yeah, I made it. So when can I start this? I want to get it over with.” Ash said. He hoped he had managed to keep his irritation under control. Snape’s lip curled. “Watch it Ketchum. I can with ease give you another detention and it would not faze me in the least.” Snape retorted. Ash was about to retort when he remembered Harry’s warning about to just ignore Snape’s snide remarks. Ash bit his lip and looked up at Snape. He then reached down, picked up the bucket, and handed it to Ash. “Here you go. You should start now. You have quite a long way to go.” He said nastily. Smirking, he strode past Ash, who strongly resisted the urge to throw the metal bucket right at the back of his slimy head. Grudgingly, Ash slowly got down on the floor and began to scrub with the brush. He couldn’t believe he had somehow been stupid enough to land himself in this situation. Cursing Snape under his breath, Ash continued cleaning the floor. Thankfully, the third floor remained empty of anyone except the occasional ghost floating by. Finally after three hours, Ash had managed to get the rest of the floor cleaned except one corner which he was now inspecting for any big chucks of garbage. Out of the corner of his eye, he saw something green. He picked it up and went to put it in the bucket. The only problem was it had attached itself to his finger. Ash shook his finger, trying to shake it off, but it stuck. He held up his hand, puzzled. “What’s your problem? Garbage shouldn’t act like this!” He told the green slime. It continued to stick to his finger until he rubbed it into the bucket where it fell into the water. It was more than garbage though. The second it fell into the water, it made a horrible sucking noise and suddenly, the water was gone. To be continued… Kind of boring but hey, it’s after midnight and I wanted to finish this. It’s at least better than it used to be. Well, review! ^^
