Chapter 2 - PIKACHU Meanwhile Pikachu was still running away from Team Rocket. "PIKAAAAAA!" Pikachu ran as fast as he could. Tons of TR people were around and they had their pokémon. "GO CHARIZARD!" shouted one of men. Charizard came out and looked around. Pikachu looked at the Charizard seeing that it was more powerful then Ash's. Scared, Pikachu ran even faster and shot a lightning bolt to the sky in fright. "FLAMETHROWER!" Flames were shooting out towards Pikachu just missing every time. Pikachu knew that this Charizard would never stop. Pikachu's legs were sore and he started losing speed. Flames shot out from Charizard's mouth, it was starting to use 'rage'. Flames circled around Pikachu. "We've got Pikachu now!" shouted the owner of Charizard. Pikachu felt hopeless, this was the end. Without warning a Butterfree suddenly came and picked up Pikachu. The Butterfree carried Pikachu to a nearby field. Pikachu sighed a breath of relief. Surprised that a simple Butterfree got in his way, Charizard took off after them, he flew high, searching. Pikachu and the Butterfree were in a field of tall dried grass. They both bobbed down, hoping Charizard wouldn't come. Charizard spotted the two in the grass, his 'rage' had really powered up, his flame grew bright, his eyes full of anger. He didn't want to listen to his master, his way to him, was best. Charizard opened his mouth and a long roaring line of fire flowed like a stream towards the grassy field. Pikachu and Butterfree stepped back. In no time the whole field was in flames, yet Charizard still couldn't spot the one pokémon he was meant to battle. Luckily for Pikachu, he was on the back of a Butterfree, flying. Once again Charizard still didn't want to give up, he looked across the horizon, there was a twinkle in the sky. Charizard knew that the twinkle he saw was Butterfree, and where that Butterfree was, that Pikachu was there to. Charizard started to follow them. Pikachu looked behind him, fear filled his body. Butterfree spotted a waterfall nearby, he only had one way to get out of this and that was to head towards the waterfall. Butterfree darted through trees and bushes, the waterfall getting closer every time. They could feel the warmth of Charizard's hot breath. Before Pikachu knew it, cold water was trickling down on his face. A little, dent-like cave was behind the waterfall, Butterfree stopped and let Pikachu off his back. The rocks were cold and the little cave was dark. The only thing they could see was the waterfall water running down off the side of the cliff, just missing them every time. Charizard saw the two fly into the cave, he flew at his fastest speed, practically knocking the trees over. In all this time Charizard's tail flame grew bigger and bigger. Butterfree and Pikachu could just make out Charizard through the running waterfall. Charizard flew right up to the cliff face where the little cave was. He got ready to do the biggest 'flamethrower' he had ever done. Pikachu held his breath, hoping he wouldn't be cooked inside the cave, yet Butterfree sat easy, not scared of anything. Charizard shot the flames from his mouth and they came towards the cave. The water from the waterfall was like a shield and stopped the flames reaching Pikachu and Butterfree. Charizard's anger rose and rose, he wasn't going to give up this battle. He shot out flames every second, flames everywhere. Every time, the waterfall was still a shield. Charizard soon found out that his flames weren't a match against the flowing water. He still didn't want to give up so he took his best shot and slammed his way into the cave. Pikachu blocked his ears for the water stung Charizard's hot head and made him roar and screech. Butterfree and Pikachu backed away. "Return Charizard," shouted the TR member. Charizard had gone. Butterfree spoke, "Follow me through the cave and when we get out I'll fly you over to Serentine Mountain, ok?" "Thankyou Butterfree, but, what time would we get there?" "Umm, late at night, I think, at least TR would be sleeping so they wouldn't know where you are." "Hey Butterfree, How did you know I was in trouble?" Pikachu asks. "Oh, when Charizard was first following you, I saw your Thunderbolt and I heard your cry, so I came to help." "Thankyou so much, if it wasn't for..." Butterfree interrupted Pikachu, "No need to thank me Pikachu, I am your friend, you've helped me many times before, so it is just a favour payed back." Pikachu looked puzzled, "Pikachu, I am Ash's Butterfree and if I am right your Ash's Pikachu, now follow me through the cave." Pikachu smiled and followed Butterfree through the cave. In no time Butterfree had led Pikachu out of the cave. "Hop onto my back and I'll fly you there." Pikachu hopped onto Butterfree's back and they started heading towards Serentine Mountain. Down on the ground a member from TR saw the two fly towards the mountain. He got out his mobile phone and rang up Jessie. Jessie picked up the phone, "Yes?" "Hi, I want to notify you that I saw that Pikachu, on a Butterfree flying towards Serentine Mountain, I think we should search through there." "Good idea," "But also, I don't know what part of Serentine Mountain they are in!" "Ok I'll be there tomorrow." "Well have to go, bye!" Jessie hangs the phone up, and starts laughing, "We've got you now Pikachu," she circles the picture of Serentine Mountain on the map. ASH The three were happy that they were let go, that, they didn't bother to look in the bag. They walked for a while and soon Ash decided to let Pikachu out his pokeball. Ash looked into the bag and realized most of them were just tennis balls. Ash was about to say something when he heard Brock calling. "Hey Ash, come over here, Team Rocket is over there," exclaimed Brock. Ash came and bobbed down next to Brock and Misty by some bushes and listened. "Brock, Misty these aren't our pokémon," said Ash. "What pokémon are in there then?" asked Brock. In the pokeballs were, 3 Ponytas, a Pidgeot, and a Shellder. "Where are our pokémon," Misty asked desperately. Then Misty got her answer. "Listen, they are talking about our pokémon!" whispered Brock. One of the men was on a mobile phone, "Ha! So you gave them useless pokémon?! And you are using Prof. Oak to help us find Pikachu? ...You are so clever! ...yeah... hmm.. oh yeah, we have their pokémon and we are looking after them. ...We are going to start the search up Serentine Mountain on the ponytas soon, ...well see you tomorrow, bye." The man turned off the phone and started shouting orders to the other members of Team Rocket. "Lets go battle 'em," Misty said angrily. Ash held her back, "Remember they have tons of pokémon and we only have 5 pokémon to use." "Ash is right," Brock added. Misty fell back onto the grass, "What are we going to do then, Mr Smartypants?" Ash thought for a minute and then looked up and smiled, "We'll just have to use the 5 pokémon we have, find Pikachu before TR do, then we will get our other pokémon back somehow," suggested Ash. Misty sat back up, "Ash, why don't I think that is a good idea?" "Trust me," "I thought you'd say that, you always get us lost!" "Well how many times have you gotten us lost?" Ash shouted back. "Not as much as you!" Misty replied. Brock looked at their map while Misty and Ash kept fighting and decided to stop his friends from arguing, "Team Rocket said something about Serentine Mountain, right?" Misty and Ash stopped, looked at him and nodded. "Well according to this map it is only a couple of kilometres away, if we get going we will be there by early afternoon." "It sounds pretty good to me," Ash replied happily, laughing and slightly punching Misty in the arm, showing her Brock had agreed with his idea, "I knew it was a good idea," Misty rubbed her arm, "Well I suppose I'm going to stay here!" Ash and Brock stood up, "Ok, you can stay here, but you know I heard lots of bugs live around here, and you don't have any pokémon with you so you'll be all alone with the BUGS!," Ash said teasing. Brock and Ash started walking away, Misty sat there and then when she noticed that Ash and Brock were walking off and she was almost all alone. "You guys wait for me!!" Ash knew she was going to be scared especially if there was bugs around, so he ran up and stopped by her feet. "So you don't want to be with bugs?! C'mon, let's go!" He grabbed Misty's hand and pulled her up, Misty lost her balance and fell on top of him, she got up, and they both blushed, "I hope your idea works!" "It will work!, Umm...," Ash looked up at Misty, "..Can you give me a hand now?" "Whatever." Misty pulled Ash up and they ran off to catch up with Brock. "Don't worry Pikachu we're coming." Ash shouted.
