chapter 5 -

TR 
All of TR was at Spiral Cave now, all waiting for Jessie and James's orders. A sudden 
wind blew in as the helicopter landed on the ground. Jessie and James hopped out, 
followed by Prof. Oak. "James you go to group 1 ok?" says Jessie. 
"Right!' agreed James. 
James ran up to the leader of group1, "Your group be backup ok!" 
The leader nodded. 
Jessie ran up to Brett, "Ok, Get all the water pokémon to wait at the different entrances, 
when I give you the signal get them to do 'Watergun' down the tunnels."
"Ok, what's the signal?" 
"Onix's roar," replied Jessie. 
Brett looked surprise, "What do you mean?" 
"Just do it!" shouted Jessie. 
"Ok, I'll do it." 
"Thankyou," Jessie said as she walked away, "Oh yeah, Brett, give me Onix." 
"Ok, here," Brett threw the pokeball with Onix in it over to Jessie. 
Jessie let Onix out of the pokeball; Onix came out and waited for its orders. "Now Onix, I 
want you to go through the main entrance of Spiral Cave, when you see Pikachu roar, and 
then chase Pikachu through the cave." 
Onix nodded his head at the orders. "Go Onix!" shouted Jessie. 
Onix moved towards the cave entrance. "Every one in place?" asked Jessie. 
"Yep," James answered. 
Prof. Oak came up to Jessie and James in quite an anger, "If your sending that Onix in 
there it is going to die from the water being to high!" 
"Oh well, we are just after the Pikachu, who cares if it suddenly dies," answered James. 

PIKACHU 
Pikachu looked up as he saw a large pokémon coming into Spiral Cave. "Butterfree, what 
is it?" Pikachu asks. 
Butterfree looks up as the pokémon came closer, "Pikachu... I think we should get out of 
here, it's an Onix!" 
Pikachu jumped up, "Well lets get out of 'ere!" 
Butterfree and Pikachu started running and scrambling through the big cave. Onix saw 
Pikachu and roared as loud as he could, "ROOAAARRRRR!!!!" 
All the water pokémon got a fright from the noise and then remembered that they had to 
do Watergun. They all peered down the dark tunnels they were facing and started 
Watergun. Water started rushing down the separate tunnels. Onix was catching up with 
Pikachu and Butterfree, "PIKACHUUU!" Pikachu screamed out in a desperate cry for 
help. 

ASH 
Ash again heard Pikachu, Brock heard Onix. "Pikachu," said Ash. 
"Onix!" Brock also said at the same time. 
"Sounds awful, Ash I think we should use Pidgeot to get up there," Misty said. 
"Ok, I suppose we have to, go Pidgeot!" 
"Pidgeot," said Pidgeot. 
"Pidgeot, can you take us up to that cave?" asks Ash.
Pidgeot nodded and spread out its wings, "Looks like it can only carry one person at a 
time," Misty said, "Ash I think you should go first." 
"You sure? Ok." Ash hopped onto Pidgeot. "Ponyta Return." Ponyta returned into Ash's 
pokeball. 
"Brock you can go next, it sounds like your Onix is in trouble too." 
"Thanks Misty, keep some pokémon with you though." 
"Ok." 
"What pokémon do you want with you?" Brock asks. 
"Umm... Of course I'll keep Ponyta with me and I suppose I'll have Shellder too." 
Brock passed Misty the pokeball with Shellder in it. 
"Thanks." 
By this time Pidgeot had reached the cave (Spiral Cave) and put Ash down. " Thanks 
Pidgeot, now you need to go back down to Misty and Brock and bring up here too." 
Pidgeot, without a word or noise flew back down, as Ash watched Pidgeot he crept and 
hid behind some bushes so TR couldn't see him. 
Brock hoped onto Pidgeot when Pidgeot had come back down, Misty waved as Brock 
and Pidgeot flew out if site. Misty got out Shellder to have a look at it. Shellder bounced 
around, it seemed happy. Misty looked closer at Shellder and noticed something. 
"Shellder you're evolving!" Misty said out with delight. 
Shellder had a white glow to it, Misty watched in happiness as the Shellder grew bigger 
and bigger till it was a Cloyster. Misty ran up and hugged it. Before she knew it Pidgeot 
was back, she got Cloyster and Ponyta to return and hoped on Pidgeot. 
Soon Misty met back up with Ash and Brock. Brock and Ash seemed very worried. 
Brock turned to Misty, "They are using our pokémon against Pikachu. In the cave Onix 
and Pikachu are in there, they are filling the cave up with water. If Onix and Pikachu are 
still in there they could drown." 
Misty's face suddenly changed to a worried look too. "We need to get in there but this 
place is crowded with people from TR. Pikachu can swim, but Onix might not have a 
chance," Ash added in. 
"Hey Prof. Oak is over there!" Misty said surprised. Misty grinned, "I have a plan, I'll 
creep up to Prof. Oak and get him to interrupt team rocket, while he is distracting them 
you two can go and save Pikachu and Onix! you guys stay here, I'll be back." Misty crept 
off. 

PIKACHU 
Onix was still chasing Pikachu and Butterfree. They went through lots of tunnels. The 
water was piling up fast as well. Pikachu ran towards a wide part of the cave. Pikachu 
stopped in his tracks, there was water, and lots of it. "Butterfree what do we do?" Pikachu 
shouted. 
"Swim!! Go up one of the tunnels! Get out, I'll stop this Onix in its tracks!" Butterfree 
replied. 
Pikachu took a deep breath and jumped in, "Butterfree I'll meet you outside this place!" 
"Right." 
Onix caught up with Butterfree, Butterfree quickly used 'Sleep Powder' and made Onix 
fall asleep. Before it dozed off it gave out a roar as water hit it. Butterfree quickly made 
for his exit. 

ASH 
Ash and Brock watched Misty get Prof. Oaks attention without TR noticing. They 
watched her tell him what to do, and they saw Prof. Oak distracting TR. Before they 
knew Misty came running back, "Ash, Brock go!" 
Ash and Brock got up and ran towards the cave. Misty waited. 

PIKACHU 
Pikachu swam as fast as he could; he was losing breath. The water was getting stronger 
and stronger as Pikachu neared the entrance of the tunnel. 

ASH 
Ash saw lots of tunnels with water pokémon in front of them. Ash quietly crept behind 
Squirtle. As he came closer he realized it was his Squirtle. "Squirtle what are you doing?" 
asked Ash. 
Squirtle looked at Ash, "SQUIRTLE!!" it said. 
"I think you need a holiday," continued Ash, "Pidgeot go!" Pidgeot came out of the 
pokeball, "Pidgeot, take my Squirtle for a ride around Serentine Mountain."
Pidgeot looked at Squirtle, Squirtle looked at Pidgeot. Pidgeot came up and picked 
Squirtle up and flew off. Ash watched Pidgeot fly off with Squirtle. Ash looked down at 
the water, flowing at the brim of the tunnel entrance. He peered closer, there was little air 
bubbles on top of the water. Ash looked down at it confused. 

PIKACHU 
Pikachu was getting closer and closer to the top. He could see the sunlight coming down 
through the tunnel. 

ASH 
Ash looked closer down at the water, there was something swimming down there. It came 
closer and closer to the top of the surface. Ash backed away as this thing leaped out of 
the water. Ash caught it, "Pikachu?" Ash looked surprised. 
"Pika Pi?" 
Ash's confused and worried look turned to a big smile. Ash hugged Pikachu, "Pikachu, I 
missed you so much."
Pikachu closed his eyes, " Pika chu pi, Pika (I missed you too, I missed you too.)
