Chapter Four: A Team Rocket Battle!

 

                “I choose you, Grimer!” yelled Koji in his annoying voice. 
“Yeah, let’s go Seviper!” smiled the horrible Jeni. “Huh? How’d you get that 
Pokemon?” asked Samurai and Jared. “From a T.R. lab! Get ready, because that’s 
not all we’ve got!” “Yeah, here I come!” yelled a voice. A Wartortle jumped down 
from a large balloon. “He talks!” yelled Darren in amazement. “How many times 
have I heard that before… I was used in an experiment to make me as human as 
possible, but I got the ability to talk! And I like it! M’ name’s Wart! Attack!” 
Seviper and Grimer attacked at full speed. “Go, Fearow!” cried Jared. “I choose 
you, Eevee!” But Fearow started to loaf around. “Oh, shoot! I need to get that 
Cascade Badge!” “Eevee, Quick Attack!” Eevee ran and hit Seviper but Grimer 
grabbed him.” “Toss him away like a gum wrapper!” screamed Wart. Eevee got flung 
away. “Now, Seviper, use Poison Fang!” Seviper came up for the attack… 
“FEAROW!!!!” Fearow slammed into Seviper-just in time. “Wha? Fearow?” said 
Jared. Meanwhile Samurai has healing his Pinsir for the battle. “Okay! Go, 
Pinsir!” He cried. “Hey, that’s not fair! We only have two and you have four!” 
“Hey you’re Team Rocket, what do you care about being fair? Eevee, Tackle!” 
“Squirtle, Slam!” “Fearow, Peck!” “Pinsir, Seismic Toss!” Boom! Boom! Boom! 
KABOOOM! The evil team flew away from getting hit so hard! “We’ll be back…with 
more pokemon…” They cried as they flew off. 

 

                “Ready for our battle, Darren?” asked Samurai. Melina lost to 
Samurai, but Jared won. What would Darren do? “Go, Eevee and Ratata!” “Go, 
Pinsir and Metapod!” The two on two battle was beginning… “Use your Quick 
Attack, Eevee! You too, Ratata!” Eevee did its best but Ratata seemed to be 
stubborn. “Oh, no!” “Now, Pinsir, we’ll get that Ratata to move! Use 
Guillotine!” Pinsir was moving in for the attack, but Ratata jumped out of the 
way. “Hmm…Metapod, Harden, and then Tackle!” Samurai was only focused on Ratata, 
who kept dodging. “Eevee, use-huh?” Eevee learned Take Down! “Okay then, Take 
Down, Eevee!” Eevee ran and used its whole body and hit Metapod with a super 
strong hit, but Metapod’s defense was too high. “Ratata!” Ratata didn’t budge. 
Jared and Melina looked on at the sidelines. Jared was thinking of a reason why 
Ratata was acting like that when… “Oh I got it! Darren, your Ratata is trying to 
gain enough experience points to learn new moves!” “Oh, that’s why! Okay, 
Ratata, just hang tight!” Pinsir used Slam and hit Ratata, but it didn’t faint! 
“Whoa… Metapod, Harden!” Metapod Harden even more. Ratata then learned Super 
Fang!” “Use your attack, now, Ratata!” Ratata finally moved and hit Pinsir. It 
fainted! “Eevee, Bite!” Eevee chomped on Metapod, but it didn’t faint! “Harden!” 
Metapod got even TOUGHER. “Man, I can’t beat him! Wait… Eevee, Take Down! 
Ratata, Super Fang!” Both moves did some good damage. “Now Harden!” But Metapod 
didn’t move. “Metapod, I said Harden!” Jared got it. “Metapod’s defense is 
raised as high as it can go.” Darren grinned. “I knew that would happen. Use 
your Super Fang, Ratata, to end it!” Ratata charged and bit Metapod. It fainted! 
“Yeah, I win!”

 

                “Pewter City is not too far ahead, my friend,” said Samurai with 
a smile. “You did exceptionally well against me. You’ll beat Brock for sure.” 
“Thanks again!” smiled Darren as they walked off. “Man I can’t believe I lost to 
Samurai! I’ll never beat Brock!” Jared turned to her. “Your Squirtle can beat 
him with water gun. We’re just about out of the forest now.”
