(NOTE: Pikachu’s now a boy.) Thank you.

A WHOLE NEW WORLD

Slag gave Pikachu a sip of his Pepsi, the people all watched with enthralled looks that seemed to scare the heck out of him at least. The demon-Pious looked down at his pendant, which was glowing white at the time being. The wind seemed to howl and blew the people’s hair harder than what it did awhile ago.

Misty had a sixth sense that something was wrong and shouldn’t be happening. She stared at Slag’s gleaming pendant and knew that it was warning everyone about the danger, but the people didn’t understand.

The portal opened with light coming from it and devouring Slag and Pikachu by the minute. The two friends burst into particles and floated into—what look like a stargate. The comrades appeared back in their forms once they entered the stargate, Slag tried to get out but there was a barrier before them. After that the stargate vanished along with a chain of lightning coming out of it.

Everyone got up after the lightning disappeared; they shook their heads and tried to remember what happened yet it seemed as if the stargate blurred their memory. Misty slowly got up and looked at where the portals were and where the stargate made its debut. She whispered Slag’s name and staggered towards the portals then when the girl finally had control of her body she ran.

The one who made the portals asked her where she was going. "I’m going to save my Pikachu and my dog!"

"Your dog? But I didn’t see a dog up there."

"Well you weren’t looking hard enough!" She stepped onto the platform and it light up once she got on.

"But if you go, then how are you going to come back?"

Misty understood what he was saying. How is she coming back, will that stargate just shrink until she gets back or will it disappear forever; it was going to be hard finding him but even harder trying to get back. "Please, try to find a way."

She exploded into particles and entered the now formed stargate. "Don’t worry, you can count on me that I will survive!" She gave them a victory sign.

"Please, young miss, don’t get hurt!" one of the people in the audience cried out and the others nodded their head along with agreements.

That’s when Misty disappeared with the stargate along with another flash of lightning.

***

The trees were tremendous in size and the skies were blue like the ocean but were hidden beyond the trees’ branches and leaves. Flamingos of all kinds fluttered by and animals of the forest could be heard.

Misty opened up her eyes and stared at the blurry images of leaves and flowers falling from the sky. She leaned forward and got up, the climate was warm and humid; the lake by her was partly covered by small islands that some had trees on while others had stones and exotic flowers.

She got to her feet and overlooked the forest, so mighty as it stand and no tree leaned. The foliage and dead leaves underneath her crunched as she walked, she saw some Pokemon walk up to some vegetation to take to their nest.

Sunshine seeped through the canopy and onto the ground, which some parts of the forest were filled with moss and fungi. It felt as if she was in the Amazon forest. She took another step advancing towards nowhere (it seems) and into—what looks like—danger.

The girl whistled and called out Pikachu’s name, all she got in response were jungle sounds and crickets chirping songs. She felt lost after calling out their names and gave up by sitting on a rock with her head in her hands. Misty got to her feet after a short break and traveled up deeper in the forest. What she didn’t know was that this forest was as big as two Rhode Islands and the only way getting out was by flying out into the open air.

As she called out Slag’s name she fell underground, which was covered in grass and stipule. Misty spit out some dirt from her mouth and debris. She found herself in a mysterious cavern and entered it as if she was in a trance; Misty looked down and noticed the ground made out of limestone and light all around her, lit by candles. It was like she was in a temple of some sort. The hymn was relaxing to her soul and the small life forms that flew like fireflies twinkled in the light coming from some holes.

She gasped when she found a gigantic animal big as a full-grown African elephant, lay emotionless on an altar. It was yellow and had black spots all over its form along with black hair that looked like a mane, flowing all the way down to its tail. White talons hung like teeth on the creature’s feet, its fang’s tip could be seen from its upper lip, and its fur was shiny like the sun.

The dog creature was a magnificent organism, its slim body and powerful, slim legs made it seem as if it could outrun anything. Misty touched its side and up its neck then to its head, soft and smooth like hair.

Misty looked back to hear a soft whimper coming from the darkness. It was small and its fur, glisten a reddish hue in the candlelight. Misty smiled and the mouse scampered into her arms. "Oh Pikachu, I miss you so much."

Pikachu licked her face and nuzzled her affectionately. "Where’s Slag?"

"Pika pik!" He pointed at the dog creature and Misty’s eyes went wide with confusion and soon with puzzlement. ‘What did Pikachu mean when he pointed at the canine? Was this really Slag? Why was he in dog form?

"We came here and was attack," Pikachu mouthed, Misty stared at Pikachu like he just came from another galaxy.

"You talked!" she shrieked.

"It’s not so shocking to me Misty, but even though I can talk, I still say my name once and a while."

"How long?"

"Just when we got here."

"So go on, tell me your story."

***

Pikachu told Misty on the first part, falling in the sky from the portal entrance in the air. Slag grabbed him, and he made that 32-ft. fall seem like child’s play, as he landed safely and quietly on a cliff. They searched the area wondering where they were, Slag told him that it smelled like Indians been around in this area because the fragrance of an Indian festival hung in the atmosphere.

The tall trees made me dizzy when trying to find the canopy; the butterflies allure me to pounce and I played in a small stream where the Magikarp and the Goldeen swam. We thought this place was safe as we whipped away leaves from tall plants to get through, and soon we found ourselves face to face with these beasts that looked like lizards but had human features. The beasts were armed with spears and arrows for defense.

Slag cursed from under his breath and looked sort of angry at that moment. They started speaking in a foreign language that I didn’t understand but it seems as though Slag knew this language. He told me that this was the language of Forbidden and he even spoke it.

"Slag… Forbidden? I never knew that he was a Forbidden, I heard all about them from my mother and she told me that they were evil and they even possessed powers from your imagination. I heard that when the Forbidden were on Johto, the first Pious was born, its name was Lone Star and destroyed the Forbidden in the whole area and banished the surviving ones to another world."

"So Pikachu, what happened next?"

The mouse explained to her about the time when they got in a battle pose getting ready to battle and it was all because of Slag’s occupation as a demon, he tried to explain that he was also Pious from his mother, but they didn’t care. Slag translated that they said all demons should be destroyed, they were the problem of them being banished. Soon the Forbidden put down their weapons and looked at each other. They said some more of their language and Slag gave off a smile talking also in Forbidden.

It was like a Forbidden conversation and all I heard were these unknown words that had no meaning. The Forbidden bowed to Slag and the demon-Pious bowed his head. I wanted to know what that was all about and Slag told me that he was a Forbidden just like them and should be respected.

So we followed the Forbidden to their campsite where we found more of their kind but not species. The forbidden were varied and looked so human.

"And so they took us to their temple where Slag was told to transform into his true form… …I didn’t understand, and Slag didn’t want to. Yet the people all yearned for him to transform, Slag translated that they never seen a goddess mate with a demon."

"Slag transformed, right? And all I saw was that he was becoming transparent then vanishing, and the second you know he reappears all big and dog-like, I was amazed at the creature he turned into. I soon found out that that big, mighty, canine was all balled up inside of Ash, and it also contained Ash’s heart and mind within. Soon it’s not long to say that Slag was actually a dog but he hides himself within Ash so he wouldn’t be found out. He was pretty popular over a millenium ago."

"The Forbidden put a sleeping spell on Slag and he stumbled onto the altar, but they didn’t do anything to him only rest. How did you get in here?"

"I fell down this hole and all I know is that I’m here. When’s he going to wake up?" Misty glanced at Slag.

"Don’t know."

Misty got up off the ground and went over to the dog-Slag and sat by him, she sank within his fur and skin. The girl checked her watch and found it to be 7:30PM. She yawned and snuggled up to the canine and closed her eyes. "I’ll keep watch."

"OK, I’ll try to catch fish."

"Oh! How about you watch Slag-Ash, here, while I catch some fish."

"Aren’t you tired, you must have been walking for a long time."

"Well, let me catch the fish, I don’t want you to get lost, besides you’re a better watch-dog than I am."

"OK, are you sure you’re not tired?"

"I’ll be all right."

Soon Misty went out of the shrine and into the evening sky, the stream could be seen just 20 meters from here and she ran down to it. She took off her shoes and socks and rolled up her sleeves then she bent down to catch the fish in the water. Misty waited for awhile then grabbed the unsuspecting fish and threw it to shore. She tried catching another one but the next one flipped out of her grip and back in the water. She wiped the water from her eyes and back to catching.

The next one was slipperier than the other two and she had a hard time on that one, that’s when she heard a laugh, a feminine laugh. She looked up to see a white hair girl having her hands behind her back and bent down just like her. Misty stared so deep into those yellow eyes that she gulped.

"You need help?" Her fox ears twitched.

Misty gave off a smile. "Sure, and when we’re done, how about coming over to my place to have fish.

The girl clapped her hands. "That would be splendid! I love to have a barbecue!"

Misty looked at her attire; she looked like she worked on a farm for she wore only overalls with no shirt underneath. Misty saw fangs coming from her mouth when she gave off a big grin and those claws on her fingers when she clapped them together. Misty watched, as the girl was very patient when trying to catch fish, soon she found a fish flying to her, she caught it then threw it to shore.

"Nice catch," she grinned.

"Thanks." Misty smiled too.

By that time, the girl and her had a net filled with lovely salmon and this was all theirs to eat. When they were walking home they smiled at each other.

"My names Kitsune-Kigen, what’s yours?"

"Misty, you’re a pretty good fisherman."

"Well, it goes around the family if you’re part fox."

Misty slowed down while she paces up a bit, then came to a stop and looked back at her. "I know, why don’t I tell you about myself, so you won’t think of me as dangerous."

"Shoot."

"Well, to begin with, I’m a Ninetales… demon. I live around here and pretty nice to anything that’s nice to me."

"Oh! You’re demon; well I got a demon-Pious friend where I am. Maybe you can meet him."

"You think so?"

***

Kitsune-Kigen gulped after seeing something so big before her, it was like some mammoth mixed with a canine breed. Misty strokes its fur and Kitsune-Kigen wondered if it was still alive. "Kitsune, this is Slag, he’s asleep."

"Why does your friend have to be so big, he’s bigger than T-Rex."

"He’s not suppose to be in his form but some Forbidden tricked him and put him under a sleeping spell."

"When will he wake up."

"Beats me, but it better be now because I got some explaining to do."

Kitsune-Kigen saw the fish in a corner and went out to get some wood. Misty saw the demon bring back lots of wood for cooking the fish and for tonight’s sleep. The girls stacked up the extra logs at a wall and Kitsune-Kigen flamed the ones with her firepower for the fish. Pikachu threw rocks in the flames and Kitsune-Kigen set the fish on the rocks to cook, they were going to have a wonderful dinner tonight.

It’s been 3 hours and Slag still hasn’t woke up to eat his dinner, Kitsune-Kigen and Pikachu were curled up at a corner of the room while Misty was pacing around, she closed her eyes but she couldn’t fall asleep. All she thought about was going home back to her cousins, and eat the delicious delicacies her uncles would make for everyone (Even Slag and Pikachu—if he only wake up). Misty ate another piece of her fish she cooked over the fire a while ago and sat down next to Slag very annoyed that the dog wouldn’t wake up.

‘Wait, what the heck am I doing, why should I be waiting for Slag to wake up? I mean I don’t give a care about him, I never even liked the guy… so why am I waiting? Oh yeah! That’s right, because this guy has a mind of his own, if I left (because it’s always that damn Hemoglobin) then he’ll find me and I don’t know what he’ll do to me instead of killing me.’

Misty growled and walked out the temple wanting fresh air; having the gift of hearing, Kitsune-Kigen woke up and saw Misty’s shadow go off. She got up and followed her.

The girl was now running this time, but this was no challenge for Kitsune-Kigen since she was an excellent sprinter and could catch a falcon flying 200 miles per hour if she had to. Plus she got good ears and a good sense of smell, but Slag, for being a dog and all, would beat her in the smelling category. But foxes had a terrific sense of hearing because their ears were so sensitive.

Kitsune-Kigen while hiding, because she was getting a little close to the girl, saw her stop by a pool. The fox was just looking away for a second before she found Misty gone (Poof). She got up and heard some footsteps fainting away from the pool and she knew right away that someone took her away; they were heavy and deep footsteps. She raced off the path following the marching sound of boots. They were getting louder by the second and she noticed a little flame burning beyond some trees.

She panted lightly and leaped on a tree in a crouch position then stood up after seeing a gigantic city filled with tall towers, lots of lights, and music could be heard from it. "So that’s where they’re taking her." Soon she couldn’t help but follow them some more.

***

The fox leaped over the city walls and sneaked through the alleyways towards the castle. Neon lights fluttered about and some of them flashed on and off. Kitsune-Kigen was surprise to see so many humans in one place. Music blared in the city and it hurt her ears. The fox sniffed out Misty’s trail and when she found it she tried to find a way to sneak into the castle without being seen.

Soon she hopped on top of the closest building she could encounter and leaped from building to building. Kitsune-Kigen made it to the castle and leapt on the castle balcony and inside. Inside the castle didn’t look so ancient; the walls were white and clean; also the floors. The floor was made out of limestone and the walls were made out of marble. Pillars went along well with walls and things were put up in invisible barriers. She prowled the area lying very low.

Misty’s scent was getting stronger and it seems as though she was in one of the dungeons. Kitsune-Kigen went behind a wall and out the other end she was a gigantic furry Ninetales, claws seeped out of her paws like daggers and nine tails flowed in the air, they were alive to the naked eye. Kitsune-Kigen walked on, not making a single peep as she pranced towards the dungeon.

She was in a long hallway that was dark and gloomy, she could hear murky water dripping off the ceiling. Everything was quiet, too quiet. Kitsune-Kigen looked behind her, snarling and baring her teeth. Her sinister glare could scare away anything that was there. Soon she could sniff out the smell of a rat and knew that it could be Pikachu but a Ratatta came out with its mate then scampered off into a hole.

The fox walked off deeper in the hallway.

***

Misty woke up in a chamber room with pink satin curtains, a bed with layers of layers of silky blankets, and a dresser that had things that were from a woman’s fantasy on it. She looked outside and found the moon gleaming brilliantly at her. The pain of getting knocked out throbbed in her head (What a migraine); Misty got to her feet and stumbled to the door, she opened the door and a creature spooked her when she walked out, it was gigantic about 15 feet from its shoulder to its haunches. Its tails, which were bushy and beautiful in sight, was wrapped around its legs as it sat before her. It sniffed her a bit before pacing about wanting her to climb on.

The girl scratched her head and bounded onto its back, soon it was flying off towards the exit, which can she say is a window. The fox ran around close to 70 miles per hour, but Misty thought it could run faster than that and then it seemed that the whole world was progressing slowly. Misty in a minute found the fox and her flying out of the window and into the blue sky of the night. Yet it just didn’t look right after what just happened; there were supposed to be guards outside of her door and now… she was free? It just felt a little "too" safe. Instantly, vines shot from the window they came out and grabbed onto the vixen and brought it down.

Misty cried when one vine grasped her body while others clenched onto the fox. The vixen hissed and tried to bite the vines off of it when reinforcement vines came and wrapped around her neck. Quickly the vines brought them back inside the window and threw them onto the floor. The girl got up and felt depress about that dilemma, she looked to the ground to find the vixen getting up also. It licked its fur and looked at Misty to see if she was all right, and soon it was sitting on its haunches.

An intercom blared out and soon it was followed by a voice. "Well my cute and adorable playmate, did you really think that you could escape from me? You are such a fool! How couldn’t you know that this place was filled with heavy security? So even if you did escape, my vines will catch you! Try that again, little missy, and find your fox and you slaughtered by birds! Mwahahahahahahaha!"

After that the intercom disconnected, the vixen was growling but even if there were heavy security, the only thing on its mind was to get Misty out of here. Misty looked around the place.

"I guess we should use the doors now often."

The vixen nodded and they walked off out of the door. The air was damp and humid, it felt like something was heating up the room and it wasn’t a furnace. The fox sniffed the air and sensed lava and molten rock coming from a distance. In just moments, Misty and the fox found themselves in a room filled with lava. Misty could feel her spirit fall when she noticed the room and lowered her head; it was hopeless to get to other side, which lead to another door.

The fox nudged Misty and lifted its head at the door. "You’re thinking about leaping over to the other side, eh?"

It nodded its head.

"You know, I seen you jump at great distances, so I guess it’s worth a try." Misty got on its back and the fox backed away from the ledge. Soon it ran and leaped off the ledge they were on and up into the air. Misty closed her eyes and before she knew it, they were on the other side; the girl opened up her eyes and sneered at the danger.

"We’re bad."

After they walked on, the fox’s back right foot slipped off the ledge but they were still safe.

The fox and Misty walked out into an arena where monsters and people alike cheered and roared with the satisfaction of a battle; they wanted to see the smell and action of a bloody fight between two or more monsters. Misty watched as the audience just cheered on like her and the fox were the contestants, suddenly from the darkness a creature walked out into the arena and the fox looked at it, hissing with her hair bristled. The monster was blue and had spikes all over its form, becoming no more than a mere alligator Pokemon, Feraligatr, yet this Pokemon was much bigger and had a darker tone in color. It roared angrily with its head high in the air. Misty screamed once she saw it charge at them, she could see that this Pokemon was ready to fight.

A cry came from the fox she was on and it charged right at it, Misty fell off of it once it head-butted the alligator and leaped away from it; the alligator bit into the fox and flipped it back. But that didn’t end the fight when the vixen got up and slashed at the water Pokemon so badly that it made the reptile cry—no for real, the Pokemon actually cried. Misty then saw the vixen hiss at it and the alligator fled back into the doors. The vixen lay on the ground proud to be a winner and licked its fur; it sharpened its claws on the hard ground. Abruptly a Charizard rampaged at her and used Flamethrower for its first move. After a yowl of pain the vixen was slashed back into a wall, she tried to get up, but it was instantly slammed to the ground by the gigantic bulky red dragon… … Wait a sec, this Charizard looked different, it had spikes coming from its head and a much narrow yet longer snout. The dragon had a thorn coming out from the tip of its flaming tail and had longer and bigger wings. This Pokemon looked like a true dragon.

The Pokemon roared and made Misty back away reaching for her Poke Ball which held her newly discovered Pokemon, Starwie. Once she felt her side she found nothing and saw that she held no Poke Balls, she was nervous, without her Poke Balls she could not defeat this creature. All was lost, she was cornered and before her was the fiery Pokemon.

Howls of a wolf echoed the area and Pikachu perked up his ears to the sound of the howls, he looked back and was surprise to his eyes that Slag was up on his haunches, staring at him.

"Slag?"

The dog got up on his legs still looking at Pikachu, a fair wind blew and the canine was gone with it.

Misty was pinned to a wall by the dragon with its claws on her neck, she gagged from the lack of air and squirmed trying to get free; yet the dragon used its strength to power the hold onto her. It gnarled and opened its mouth showing all of its fangs and its incisors; Misty shrieked it was going to bite her head off! She then saw a figure getting up far on the other side of the stadium; it looked like a girl… a girl with white hair… a girl with white hair and fox ears… … KITSUNE!

"Kitsune! Help me!"

The fox-girl was half way standing up when she found that Misty was calling out for her support, her yellow eyes glowed angrily and cried out as she lunged herself at the dragon; in just seconds the dragon back-slapped her away and skidding across on the ground. The dragon looked at Misty then at the unconscious fox-demon, it let go of Misty and went for its more delicious morsel; the trainer fell to the ground but had enough time to warn the injured fox.

"Kitsune! Watch out!"

The fox looked up to find the dragon going to Body Slam her, she got up and leaped back landing on one knee. Dust and dirt flew up in the air once the Pokemon landed on the ground, the dragon saw that it only landed in dirt. That made it angrier and it soon got on its feet to roar at the fox and fly up in the air, the fox didn’t have wings and so it could not catch it in air. Kitsune sneered at the beast, "So, ya think that I can’t catch you while in air."

Instantly she bent her knees and jumped high in the air, higher than the dragon was. The Pokemon gaped at her thinking that she was not human or Pokemon, but who cares it had to defeat this thing before it defeat it! The fox hovered in the air not coming down or going higher up. Misty was also awing at her friend and soon screened her eyes from the bright light beaming from her like a light bulb in high watts. She could barely see but she knew for sure that the fox was about to do an attack, Kitsune made a prayer with her fingers on her chest, flares spouted from her form and into the air around her.

The dragon used Fire Blast and it went straight for the fox. "BLAZING FIRE BLAST!" Kitsune unleashed a gigantic fire attack that burned hotter than the flames of Hell and was much darker than any flames. The two attacks were burning brightly and both collided into a colossal detonation that blew everyone’s hair and clothing. The dragon and fox waited till the smoke and dust settled, not one of them stared away from the other, they weren’t even moving. Instantly out of the dust, one of the Fire Blasts survived—Kitsune’s—and went straight at the dragon, the beast was slammed down to the ground and underground too. Nothing was there but a big hole in the ground and everyone waited in silence. Kitsune lowered herself to the ground and stood there on the floor, her superior powers should not be underestimated by fools like the dragon. She snickered and looked at Misty, she was okay for now, a little bruised—but OK; Kitsune smiled.

Yet the face on Misty went into a frown at what she saw. "KITSUNE!"

Before the fox could turn around the dragon grabbed her from behind and squeezed her with such force that she could hardly breathe, the life in her lungs could hardly get air. Hard to breathe, meant suffocating to death. Kitsune bit the dragon’s arm and was instantly let go, she back-flipped a couple of times before halting in front of Misty; the fox-girl and dragon soon charged right at one another, screaming out a battle cry, their forms and body posture both had kill flowing out from them. Both the opponents were ready for the death.

SLASH! SLASH! SLASH! SLASH-SLASH! SLASH-SLASH! SLASH! Everything went quiet after that and both of them had their backs turned, the dust around them settled. Kitsune turned her gaze to Misty; her yellow eyes never left their expression until Misty could see the feeling within the fox-demon. Soon the demon’s eyes softened and a soft smile came across her face.

"Misty… …I failed." Then she fell to the ground; she lost the battle.

Misty whimpered; it was hopeless, she couldn’t fight a beast so powerful and tough to be a Pokemon; the trainer left her gaze from her friend and looked up to find the dragon looking at her hungrily. It walked at her slowly ready to taste her blood once it pierce its fangs into her neck; when she is dead then it will rip her flesh and gorge on it, to satisfy its deep hunger. The girl stopped her whimpers and stared at her opponent with a hard glare, she was a Pokemon trainer, she shouldn’t be scared of a Pokemon, it should be afraid of her. Misty in a split second raced for dear life towards the doors to exit but the dragon blockaded it and raced after her once more. It was soon noticed that she was dragon food and nobody helped her, no one got out his or her seats in order to yell or make a stand. They just watched.

A fair breeze blew in and Misty’s hair blew in her face from, it also blew debris in the audience’s eyes that had to cover their eyes with their arms or look back with closed eyes. This breeze turned into a gust and then into a gale, Misty was blown on her back by a harsh turbulence. No sound could be heard; nothing but the winds, this gale wasn’t from Mother Nature, but was made from something. In just seconds the small gale vanished as if it was never there and silence fell into the atmosphere. The young trainer got up off the ground and looked at the dragon—well… where the dragon was—nothing was there in front her; nothing but the audience, something was here.

Misty looked at where Kitsune was and she saw a boy there by the fox-girl, he had his hand placed on her face and he closed his eyes concentrating very hard on something; sweat fell from his brow along with his expression becoming intense into what he was doing. Misty watched at the bright white light flowing out of his palms and onto the fox’s chest, soon the light formed into a star with six points and having the four symbols of light darkness, psychic, and rainbow. The light began to give off a heartbeat and the girl trainer watched even closer at the move. More sweat fell off his head and to the ground, more intensity came into his mind as he tried to meditate the technique, soon the move vanished and he idly got up, his movements were floppy as he held his forehead with his arm and fell to the ground. But Misty came in and grabbed him before he fell to the ground, he fainted on the move he did but wasn’t quite out to say a weak and calm, "Nice move, Mist."

"Slag?"

"What’s with the look?"

"I didn’t think that you would be… I mean…"

Slag waited for her answer and knew right away that she couldn’t think of one.

"I thought you were asleep—dormant—within that ca…"

"Hush, Mist, you don’t have a clue on what you’re saying."

"What do you mean?"

"I wasn’t asleep by a curse I was asleep, just asleep. I got off the curse yesterday three minutes after I was put on it."

"Oh!"

The fox-demon, before them, began to wake up from the moaning and groaning, she felt energized after that short restoration coming from Slag. She got up and found Misty holding up Slag but instantly fell back along with the dog-boy by her side. Slag used up all of his powers in order to heal the fox-girl’s, it was totally an energy breaker for him to do that, took a lot out of him, but a nice relaxing sleep would do the job… …Yet sometimes it could be more than that.

Soon Pikachu came out from the blue with enemies on his tail, he leapt on Slag and the dog-demon leaned up to sense a sudden chill within the stadium. The audience was filled with astonishment from the last event that they were all murmuring about the sudden change of the atmosphere and the events that happened before. Slag looked about, his ears were erected and moved about trying to sense the vibrations in the air, his ears shot forward to the direction; the vibrations came from before them, something big and dangerous.

"It’s coming."

Misty looked at the wall before them; coming from a wall, what was Slag thinking about? What was coming from the wall? Suddenly the floor began to shake and the ground split into a fault, Misty saw the wall began to fall apart and soon everything went into a sudden blur as the wall exploded and out came a vine—No! Ten vines all shot forward and grabbed onto Slag’s limbs and body then sent him slamming into the other side. Kitsune got Misty and Pikachu out of the way once a Venusaur rampaged out of the hole in the wall and towards the pinned Slag. Somehow this Venusaur was much bigger and the flower on its back was more like a rose and pistols shot out from the flower which was fully open; moss was on some areas on its body and claws much more dangerous shot out of its feet in four different ways. A leaf drooped from behind its back almost like its tail.

"What happened to that Venusaur?" Misty asked.

"That’s Rosesusaur, a regular grass and poison Pokemon that has vines that can crush steel. It’s Flower Beacon attack is said to be the most powerful attack of the grass variety," Kitsune stated.

"Wow."

Slag watched as the Pokemon came closer and closer to him, he sighed and closed his eyes. Rosesusaur was now no more than inches from demon and it stuck out its slimy tongue to get the boy’s scent and taste, it then stuck its tongue back in and Slag opened his eyes at the flower Pokemon.

"Why have you come back to this place, Maelstrom?"

Silence

"Even if you’re in that human’s body, I can still tell you from that look you always give to me."

"Oh! So you still know me after 500,800 years of my life."

"Don’t play games with me, I sort of in a rush to do this as fast as I can."

Slag blinked, still in his expression of anger, "Of what."

"I have picked a bride."

"To what?"

Rosesusaur shot a vine towards the group and wrapped it around Misty slightly; she looked at the vine just going about her body slowly. Slag growled he used his claws to tear the vine and be free from this, if this Pokemon marries Misty then he’ll have to a bodyguard to this creature; to him, that was torture. The demon lunged at the Pokemon but it grabbed him in mid-air with one vine and sent him hitting into the wall, Slag cringed at the pain and his neck was squeezed by another vine. Rosesusaur chuckled at the boy’s pain and put more pressure into his neck, Slag didn’t gag nor did he cry he was a strong demon. As an adolescent going into adulthood, he was born and raised to not cry during a situation like this. He was a strong demon, a demon that was the outcast of his kind but he was the strongest, most cunning, slickest, fastest, devious, and even smartest of all of them for his age.

Kitsune leaped high in the air and did Flamethrower at the Pokemon, but it shot out a beam full of solar energy at the attack, blew it up and used its Razor Leaf to bring down the fox. But the fox-girl was quick and shot back with a Flare to burn them down. Somehow one leaf fused with another and then another to create two gigantic leaves that flew at the vixen and cut her, she lost control and fell to the ground. Yet it wasn’t over and the leaves came back for another round and sent the demon down to her knees. The two leaves went back into the flower and Rosesusaur watched as the fox-girl got up weak and panting from the lost of energy.

Misty saw the vines unwrap from her body and tie her hands together, she was force forward down to her knees; Slag jeered at the Pokemon and Rosesusaur stared at him, confused on why the demon was smiling.

"You know why people fear the ‘shadows’?"

"No, why?"

A black flame appeared on the vine that pinned him to the wall, Rosesusaur looked at the flame and could see that it was becoming much bigger when the flame noticed that the vine was burnable to fire. The Pokemon poured out so much sweat that his eyes began to shrink into little beads. Slag then summoned black flames in the air around them that he snickered at the grass type Pokemon, he knew that being a pure shadow type demon would be useful during the whole days of his life. Rosesusaur gulped at the flames in the air and felt a sudden chill going along his spine. "They can take on any shape. You can fear it, or you can love it, but either way, the shadows in any world can not be demolished."

Rosesusaur watched flames.

"See why you shouldn’t cross the path of a ‘black’ cat?"

Rosesusaur looked at the demon.

"You may never know what may hit ya."

Instantly the flames shot at the Pokemon and it sent its vines at the flames but they dodged the vines with ease and all of them assaulted at full speed towards their target. The Pokemon closed his eyes and waited for the demon’s attack, he waited for the burning and agony to be over but somehow the flames burning didn’t come and the Pokemon opened its eyes to find the demon before him chuckling and laughing at it. Rosesusaur looked around to find that the flames weren’t there; he looked back at the boy.

"Shadows can be alluring, can’t they?"

"You’re telling me that those were just illusions?"

"Yep."

Now Rosesusaur felt like killing this kid with it’s own vine. "Why you little devil!"

"That’s what I am."

"Slag is not afraid of dying, isn’t he?" Misty suggested.

"You can say that again," Pikachu said.

Rosesusaur growled at the boy for doing that to him yet he plans on being with the young female for the wedding, she was so beautiful yet so human. He wanted to pick out the fox-girl but he noticed how powerful she was with fire and reconsidered that thought to be with the girl with blood-red hair. Yet somehow his dreams won’t be full-filled if this "hobo" here kept on torturing it with his tricks of darkness and illusions, a powerful demon was he, and good-looking to add on; the demon-boy could have already fell in love with the girl even if he was a demon-Pious. The Pokemon had to do something, for his future and for the present time, he had choices of running away from it all or going straight in the battlefield, which was Slag, the Demons of Demons. His choice was made…

A vine unwrapped from the boy’s neck and went back into its rose, the other roses around Slag's body carefully set him down and one of them wiped the dust off his clothing. Rosesusaur gave off a smile and laughed to himself, Slag blinked in confusion, his expression fading into wonderment. The Pokemon had sweatdrops all over his face and he wiped them off with his vine.

"I’m sorry for being so rude to you and myself, Maelstrom."

"I guess we sort of had a change in mind," Slag put his hands in his pants’ pockets along with a smile.

"Oh no, no, no, no, Maelstrom, I’m sorry for being so rude because…"

"Because what?"

Rosesusaur spun Misty within the vine onto his back, "I’m gonna steal your love." Slag lunged at him; even though the gloves covered his claws, he could still cause damage just by swiping at the Pokemon. Yet the Pokemon unleashed a devastating Life Sucking Paralysis attack and made Slag fall to the ground, the demon-Pious couldn’t move and put more into it, he was weakening with his own life getting drained and put into the grass Pokemon. Rosesusaur hopped about and dashed out of the stadium, Pikachu and Kitsune got out of the way instantly and rushed over to Slag, he was glowing on and off, every second the attack drained him from life and weakened him more than before. Kitsune helped Slag to his feet and both ran out of the stadium leaving the audience confused.

Inside the building Slag and Kitsune came across a fork in the road, one passage went left while the other went right, all of them were puzzled and tried to use their super sensitive ears to hear the faint vibrations giving way in the air. Pikachu was the first to point and they went on to the left. They ran on and on, the passage felt like it would never stop and Slag was getting weaker by the minute. He was a strong demon and so it would take a while for him to fall to the ground from the lack of energy; Kitsune was starting to get worried, he wasn’t blinking on or off anymore and she sensed that the attack has ceased to exist. Yet he still acted as if his life was getting sucked away.

It was just minutes and without warning before Slag fell to the ground right after they got out of the passageway and into a cave filled with flowers and roses. They were like in the fields and the whole place was lit up with unlimited supply of sunlight and butterflies. Pikachu and Kitsune aided Slag back on his feet, he looked like he was in pain, he held his stomach and gritted his teeth with both of his eyes shut tight; he was in pain! The boy got on one knee, sweat poured down his forehead and his comrades watched as he threw up right before their eyes. Pikachu patted his back letting him know to just let all loose, Kitsune placed Slag by a wall in order to rest while her and Pikachu try to find Misty within the fields.

Pikachu raced off deeper into the cave and smelled the ground for any of Misty’s scent, he found one scent and it did smell like Misty; they followed it for a bit and it led them into another cave big enough for Rosesusaur’s gigantic hide. Kitsune found human bones along the walls and gulped when they became more like the bones of those from her species. The two stopped when they heard Misty’s voice and walked on until they came to a staircase that went up to the upper floors and hid behind them once they reached the top. There they found Misty tied up on a bed full of flower petals and Rosesusaur sat by her begging her to be his wife; other Pokemon were by the beast and told her reasons why she should marry him, but alas her answer was "no".

"I already have a love, you know?" Misty looked away.

"You mean that puny twerp, he couldn’t beat me if he wanted to. You need someone to protect you when you’re down on your last string of life; you need a buff, muscled, and intelligent Pokemon, not some scrawny wanna-be that has no intelligence, whatsoever! I’m telling you, Misty, I want to be your groom and I want you to be my bride."

"I already told you, I’m in love with Slag, and you can’t take that away from me."

"Please! All I’m asking is that you will be my mate!" The floor shook when he fell to the ground, crying like a child at Misty’s feet, she was beginning to get annoyed and told the Pokemon that she’ll give him another chance, if only…

"… You beat Slag in a Pokemon race."

"Pokemon race?"

"Yeah, you see, I know that Slag’s tough and all, but do you have the speed to beat him, because I doubt it!" she scoffed.

The Pokemon got on his hind legs and pound his chest with his right front leg, proud to be assistance to Misty, "I’ll do anything for you, my dear! Maelstrom will think twice than come between our love, heh, heh, heh."

"Yeah, I guess he will."
