The S.S Titanic #2 Sean woke up listening by the loud Pidgey chirping of his alarm. Yawning, he looked at the clock, 6:30. Great, he had plenty of time. "Now remember to stay close to the cities, and not to wonder to far and…."his dad droned on. Sean wasn't paying much attention. His dad already mentioned all the safety precautions to him a hundred times already. "…I love you and wish you luck. Remember to come home before Christmas so we can celebrate the holiday season together. Good-bye and good luck." "Thanks dad, love you too, bye!" Sean took one good last look at all his stuff he was leaving behind, his house, his dad, but most importantly his Nintendo (hehe just kidding), and strolled out the house. His eyes blinked at the rising sun. He had never felt so alive. "Go Abra! Teleport to Pokemon lab in Pallet town." The Pokeball popped open "Abra, Abra!" (In Sean's mind translated) "Hey, I was sleeping! Oh yeah, teleporting…" Abra and Sean soon faded away and reappeared at the lab. Surprisingly, Sean found the two other beginning trainers, Alice his rival and Daniel his friend, have already chose their starting Pokemon and left. "DA**," why couldn't I have come earlier?" Now he could only choose the last Pokemon available to him, which Professor Oak soon told him, was a Squirtle. "Want to give a nickname to Squirtle?" "No," Sean said. Sean was not very fond of nicknaming. "Okay, here's a Pokedex, and now come with me to the Pallet Town harbor." "What?" Sean was a bit surprised, shouldn't Professor Oak letting him out now? "Why, didn't your dad tell you? He bought you tickets so you can take a cruise on the S.S Titanic. Though I have to warn you, the ship only stops at each city for a week so you better not be late or else the cruise ship will leave you behind." Oak looked at his watch. "Darn, we're almost late already. You have an Abra right?" "Yeah, you want me to teleport us there?" "Your smart for a kid… you certainly inherited your father's genes," admired Professor Oak before they teleported to the harbor. "Abra Abra," (wow, that thing is huge) "Yeah, I know." Sean stared at awe. The ship in front of him was certainly one of the best of its kind. He had never saw a ship like it, except perhaps the S.S Anne (he and his dad was invited to a party on board it, but that's another story). Professor Oak soon led them into the ship, where the captain, Drake, greeted them. "Aye, mates, what do we have here?" asked Drake. "Hello, Drake, this is the new trainer at Pallet town," mutters Professor Oak. "New trainer, eh? Okay I'll show you to your room then." With that Sean waves good-bye to professor Oak, and follows Drake downstairs into the ship. On the way however, they bump into one of Drake's sailors who challenges Sean to a battle. Sean eagerly accepts and Drake watches, slightly amused. "Go Poliwag!" shouts the sailor releasing a small blue tadpole like Pokemon. "Go Squirtle," shouts Sean, releasing his own. So begins his first Pokemon battle. The two Pokemon glare at each other, though the Squirtle is slightly more nervous since this is it's first battle with his trainer, Sean. The sailor, noticing this calls out for Poliwag to use growl. Poliwag steps back and utters a piercing cry "Poli WAG!" it screams. The Squirtle, scared, backs away. "Don't let his Poliwag get to you! Use tackle." The Squirtle, seeing how confident Sean looked, regains some of his own confidence, charging at the Poliwag. "Squirtle!" "Poliwag dodge," shouts the sailor. However, it was to late, Squirtle smashes into the Poliwag, knocking it unconscious. "Return. Not bad for a rookie. Go Machop use taunt!" A Machop appears before them. "Machop," it looked at the Squirtle, commenting on its puny size and yawned, looking very bored. The Squirtle enraged, leaped at the Machop. "Great, it's taking the bait. Now seismic toss!" The Squirtle, as it leaped at Machop, was startled as two firm hands grab him in mid air, firmly stopping his tackle. Machop then spins Sean's Squirtle round and round, and with a cry releases him. "Machop!" The Squirtle smashes into the walls of the ship, unconscious. Sean returns the Squirtle, looking depressed. "Ha, my first victory!" cries out the sailor. "No, I still have one Pokemon left. Go Abra!" Sean shouts. The Abra appears before him. "Whazz up?" "Not now Abra, you need to battle him." The Abra looks at the Machop and back at Sean. "Are you crazy, that thing will rip me up." The sailor obviously thinks so too as he snickers. "Believe in yourself you can do it," encourages Sean." Use confusion. " "Oh yeah, I forgot I knew that." As Machop charges at Abra, Abra releases a huge psychic blast, knocking Machop several feet into the air. Machop falls down unconscious. "Nooo, darn, I thought I could beat you because you're a rockie," The sailor walks away with his wounded Pokemon, pride hurt. Drake looks at Ash, startled. "I never thought you were psychic." "Huh, I'm psychic?" "Only psychic trainers can talk to their Pokemon without actually speaking. Your Abra, which is only level 8, shouldn't know confusion. Only with a capable psychic trainer could it use a move ahead of its time, " replies Drake. "I wasn't talking?" was the best that Sean could think of. After all, Drake made a lot of sense. He did respond from impulse in telling Abra to use confusion, and Abra did it. It couldn't get any simpler than that. Drake, looked at Sean, then at his Pokemon. He was about to say something but then decided against it. "Never mind, I'm probably mistaken," he muttered to himself. " Now we're here at your room." Drake opens the room door with his key, and hands the key to Sean. "Here is where you'll be sleeping, bathroom is also inside, if your Pokemon gets hurt, heal it by the machine near your bed, food will be served in the cafeteria to your right, next stop Pewter city. Sorry but I need to go. We're on a tight schedule." Drake leaves. Sean enters his room and to his amazement, there was no T.V! "No!!!!" murmurs Abra, popping out of his Pokeball, apparently listening in to Sean's thoughts… "What's a cruise without a T.V? Damn, I'll have to skip my favorite T.V show, Digimon!"
