Ash Ketchum: Digidestined?

Chapter One: A Meeting of Two Worlds.

Disclaimer: Hi guys. It has been a while. Well, anyway, enjoy this Crossover story. It’s sure to bring all sorts of fun in both Pokémon lovers and Digimon lovers.

“Yes, I caught a Heracross!” Ash cheered excitedly. Ash was finally in the Johto region, rejoicing over the fact that he just captured a new Pokémon, Heracross.

“Pi pi Pikachu!” Pikachu said, making a peace sign with its fingers.

”Congratulations, Ash,” Brock said.

“You were really great out there,” Misty praised.

“Okay, so now, I want to see if Heracross’ data has been added to my Pokédex,” Ash said. He flipped open his Pokédex. He pressed a button. “Oops,” he then muttered under breath.

“What happened?” Brock asked.

”I pressed the wrong button. I pressed the red button instead of the white one and now, my Pokédex is on the fritz!” Ash worried. His Pokédex started to show little numbers. Only two numbers, one and zero. But, other than that, all the Pokédex showed was static. Something weird was going on. A portal was opening somehow.

“What the heck’s going on here?” Misty and Brock asked, puzzled. Something awkward was going on. Ash was a nervous wreck. He thought it was going to be dangerous. Pikachu hung on to his belt, worrying, and crying.

“Whatever is going to happen, we’ll be ready for it, right?” Ash asked, determined now.

“Right,” Brock and Misty said together, nodding.

“Toge-priiiiii!” Togepi chirped.

The three fell on their butts. They noticed that the surroundings were different.

”Where are we?” Ash asked.

”Are you guys okay?” a boy about eleven years of age asked them. He was wearing goggles and had an orange reptile on his left hand side. He was holding some kind of mechanism. The boy had dark, brown hair and wore a blue shirt with a yellow star on where the shoulders were. He wore brown shorts and white sneakers with some specks of yellow and blue.

“Yeah, we’re fine, but who are you? And where are we?” Misty asked, rubbing her head and her bottom.

“The name is Taichi Kamiya, but everyone calls me Tai. And this is Agumon, my partner. Pleased to meet you. You are?”

“Hi,” said Agumon.

“Did that Pokémon just talk?” Ash asked, confused and puzzled. “Let’s see what Dexter has to say.”

“No, don’t!” warned Tai. “Here in the Digital World, nothing digital, like cameras or cell phones, or Dexter, as you call it, is allowed here. It will destroy the world!”

“Digital World? So this is what this place is?” asked Brock, confused as well.

“Sure, you are Digidestined, are you?”

“No, I’m Ash, from Pallet Town. I want to be the number one Pokémon Master!”

“There he goes again, blabbing out his goal. I’ll get the mallet.”

“I’m not sure I quite follow,” Tai replied to Ash’s statement. “What is this Pokémon anyway? I never heard of this. Are they some sort of evil Digimon?”

“Then I’ll stop them!” Agumon said with tons of bravery.

“Pikachu,” said Pikachu.

“That’s some weird Digimon. Is Pikamon its name?” Agumon asked. “Izzy, do you and Tentomon have some information on this Pikamon?”

“No, I don’t—oh hello. I’ve never seen you around. Are you new Digidestined?” Izzy asked. Izzy was the brainy one. His real name was Koushiro Izumi. He was ten years old and wore an orange, buttoned shirt and beige shorts just like Tai’s. He wore purple sneakers, which really didn’t match his reddish-brownish fuzzy hair. They were purple sneakers with a yellow thunderbolt printed on the sneaker. He always had a computer with him. He was, of course, a computer geek.

“What’s with all this Digidestined and Digimon? Where are we and how do we get out of it!?” Ash asked, annoyed.

”Calm down. We’ll explain it. Sit down, because we just came to this world, too. It started to snow in our part of the world. Did it snow at your side?” Tai asked, also starting an explanation.

“No, but that’s typical in the place where you live in, right?” Brock asked, feeding Pikachu and Togepi some Pokémon food. Tai and Izzy didn’t notice. If they did, they would eat it all up, and the two small Pokémon would have nothing to eat.

“No, it was summer at the time. Izzy and I were at summer camp with 5 other kids, until it started to snow. In July! There, we met our Digimon and got our Digivices, like these.” They showed the Pokémon trainers their Digivices. “Anyway, we met them and then saw Kuwagamon. That bug…what’s wrong with you, girl?” Tai asked, still explaining.

“I am not ‘girl’, I have a name. It’s Misty. And I’m terrified of bugs!”

“Okay Misty, chill out. We defeated Kuwagamon and we are now here, talking to you guys.”

“But why are you here?” Ash asked, taking off his cap and putting it on Pikachu’s head, covering it.

“We’re not sure, but we are the Digidestined. We are supposed to save the Digital World from all kinds of evil,” Tai finished. “How did you come here?”

“My Pokédex was on the fritz and we came here. I just don’t know why,” Ash answered. “Anyways, I’m sorry. We forgot to introduce ourselves. But, as you know, I’m Ash.”

“Misty’s the name, but don’t mess with me!”

“My name is Brock. Pleased to meet you, Tai and Izzy.” Already, these people just met, and they are friends.

“Okay, so Ash, tell me a little about these Pokémon…” Tai said, curious to know what Pokémon were.

“Well, Pokémon are like your Digimon, but they don’t talk. They just say their names. They fight amongst one another to have fun. Trainers, much like myself, catch Pokémon and train them for battle. If a Pokémon gains enough experience, they evolve.”

“Much like our Digivolving, huh Izzy?”

“Prodigious,” Izzy said.

“Say wha’?” Ash asked, tilting his head.

“Digivolving. Ooh, I forgot to mention that. Here in the Digital World, we use our Digivices to help our Digimon Digivolve. It is kind of like forcing them to evolve.”

“You monster! How dare you!” Misty barked, aiming at Tai’s head with her mallet.

“Pepper Breath! Pa!” Agumon said. A ball of fire emerged from its mouth and fried Misty’s hammer.

“No, my mallet. It’s gone…” Misty said, her voice cracking, tears forming in her eyes.

“Not really. They turn back to their regular forms. Here, in the Digital World, our Digivices help our buddies Digivolve into new modes. So far, all we know are Baby, In-Training, Rookie, and then Champion. Agumon and Tentomon here are Rookies and they stay with us like that, when they are not at full form and hurt badly and De-Digivolve into their In-Training forms.”

“Will they stay that way forever?” Ash asked.

“No. They Digivolve when they get enough energy and poof! There they are, good as new,” Tai answered.

“Wow, it looks like both worlds are the same, almost at least. Prodigious,” Izzy said.

“Okay, so is there more?” Tai asked.

“Pokémon can be friendly companions or big battlers. Evil organizations, like your evil Digimon, Team Rocket, use Pokémon for their dirty work. We stop them from doing so. That’s about it.” And as soon as Ash finished that sentence, three balls glowed in the air. They soon formed to be…

“Digivices! How cool! You guys are now officially Digidestined! So, are you going to get any Digimon?” Tai asked, hoping for new Digimon to appear.

Then, all of a sudden, Brock’s Pokéball containing Vulpix came out and started to talk. “You, Brock, are my new Digimon ally.” Pikachu then went up to Ash and said, “Good day Ash. Isn’t it time for you to see me as a Digimon. Oh ho-ho!” Ash looked at Pikachu bewildered. Misty’s Togepi looked as if it were going to teleport. However, Togepi walked to Misty and spoke. “Hi Misty!”

“Oh, you’re so cute, talking like a Digimon,” said Misty, grabbing Togepi and embracing her in a hug. Tai and Izzy were astounded at the Pokémon that became Digimon.

“P…Pikachu?” Ash asked.

“No, my dear chap, I’m…Pikamon. I may look like Pikachu and talk in the same way, but now, I’m officially a Digimon, young chap. Don’t mistake me for Piximon, okay? I am not an Ultimate Digimon yet. Now, let us go and meet the others, okay, dear boy?”

“Brock, good ol’ reliable Brock. How can we ever thank you enough for the food you cook for us? Gosh, I was planning to say that when you first captured me in your Pokéball. Well, I’m a Digimon now, so I can fend for myself for a while.”

“Now, onward to meet the others!” Tai said, leading the way.

“Hey, Tai!” a girl with a helmet said. She looked a lot like Misty. She had red hair, and was a tomboy. She played boys sports and wears boys clothes. She wears a pair of black and red sneakers, a green shirt, and blue jeans. Her name was Sora Takenouchi, but her name is just Sora. Her Digimon, Biyomon was by her side, fluttering towards Tentomon.

“Good day, Sora,” said Pikachu…I mean, Pikamon.

“Pleased to meet you,” said Togepi…I mean, Togepimon.

“Hi,” said Vulpix…I mean, Vulmon.

“So, who are these guys?” asked Sora.

“Well, they’re Ash, Misty, and Brock, Pokémon trainers who just became Digidestined,” Tai answered for the trio of Pokémon trainers.

“Pokémon? What are they?” Sora asked, as well as the rest of the Digidestined.

“It’s a long story.”

“I’m not going anywhere.”

After a good long while, the Digidestined knew who they were and what Pokémon were. They understood why Ash and the gang were here. And how their Pokémon instantly transformed into Digimon.

“Well, it is time to see what their Digivolutions are,” Matt said. His real name was Yamato Ishida. Matt was a calm guy, at least now. He has light brown hair and wore a dark green shirt and blue jeans. He wore brown shoe sneakers, what look like shoes, but were really sneakers. His Digimon partner, Gabumon, was sitting with him, sleeping with Agumon and Biyomon. His eight-year-old little brother, TK, his full name Takeru Takashi was with nobody, except his Digimon companion and partner, Patamon. Their parents divorced years ago, so that’s why they have different last names. Each parent took one of the two brothers. TK is such a crybaby. Even though he wears clothes almost like Matt’s with a hat on top, he cries mostly half the time.

“Okay. What do we do?” Ash asked.

“Hold out your Digivices and see if we can Digivolve. But you have to be determined,” Pikamon answered. Just then, a huge Digimon appeared called Shellmon. It looked like a giant hermit crab, but a dinosaur hermit crab.

“Hydro Blaster!” Shellmon yelled, firing a humongous ball of water at Pikamon.

“Pikamon!” Ash yelled. Then, his Digivice glowed.

“Pikamon Digivolve to…”

~ Digivolve into Champions ~

Pikamon Digivolved into a mix of a Greymon and a Raichu. The name of this new beast was…

“Raimon!” it growled. “I am Raimon. I have the elements of thunder and fire. Much like Greymon, I have the Nova Blast attack, and I have Kabuterimon’s Electro Shocker attack. I use these attacks to toast my enemies like an English muffin. And please, do not mistake me for Raidramon.”

“All right! Go get ‘em, Raimon!” Tai yelled. “Agumon, are you ready?”

“Yup! Agumon Digivolve to…”

~ Digivolve into Champions ~

Agumon Digivolved into a bigger form with a brown head on top of its orange body with blue stripes.

“Greymon!”

“Al right, Greymon! You and Raimon take them down!” Tai said happily.

“Electro Shocker!” yelled Raimon.

“Nova Blast!” shouted Greymon. Shellmon was unaffected by the Nova Blast, but the Electro Shocker hit Shellmon right on the dot. Shellmon’s Black Gear was in plain sight. Right in his spaghetti-like hair, a Black Gear was shown right above it.

“Tai, I see something in Shellmon’s hair! What is that thing?” Misty asked. “It’s creepy!”

“It’s a Black Gear, Misty. They make Digimon go bad,” TK answered.

“We have to stop them before it’s too late!” Joe warned. Joe was the fraidy cat of the bunch. His full name is Joe Kido. His Digimon, Gomamon, has a fish in his mouth. Joe is thirteen years old and since he’s the oldest, he feels the most responsible of the Digidestined children. His blue hair matched his dress shirt and pants.

“Hydro Blaster! Pa!” Shellmon yelled. His Hydro Blaster hurt Greymon and De-Digivolved back into Agumon.

“No! That’s it. It’s over! Please, Raimon, you can do it!”

“Right! Electro Shocker!” Raimon yelled. Shellmon got paralyzed and Raimon was getting exhausted. “Shellmon…pant…you’re going…down…”

“Right…” Shellmon said sarcastically. “Slamming Attack!” He slammed down to the ground hard, causing a massive explosion of sand all over the Digidestined.

“Vulmon, it is all up to you!” Brock said courageously.

“You too, Togepimon!” Misty also added.

“Right, I’m on it!” Togepimon and Vulmon said in unison.

“Vulmon, Digivolve to…”

“Togepimon Digivolve to…”

~ Digivolve into Champions ~

Vulmon Digivolved into a Digimon that looked much like a Kyuubimon and a Ninetales rolled into one. It’s dark-yellow fur looked elegant in the sunlight.

“Tailmon!” it purred. “I am Tailmon. I am an elegant battler. My Fox Tail Inferno attack burns my enemies, as well as a fire for a grill.” {Not to be confused with Taomon, the Ultimate level of Kyuubimon}.

Togepimon Digivolved into a mix of Angewomon and Toegtic as one Digimon. Its egg turned into a body and it sprouted wings. Its face looked exactly like a Togetic.

“Angeticmon!” it said. “Whenever I use my Celestial Arrow attack or Hand of Fate, my enemies will be close to defeat. I am nearly unstoppable for a Champion level.”

“You guys…” Ash said, tears forming in his eyes. He regained his courageousness and said, “Yeah. Let’s show them what Pokémon Trainers and Digidestined can do!”

“Celestial Arrow!” yelled Angeticmon.

“Fox Tail Inferno!” Tailmon shouted.

Shellmon got seriously hurt. The Black Gear still didn’t budge at all!

“Raimon, can you get up?” Ash asked.

“Yeah, but I’m seriously hurt. I really don’t want to fight anymore,” Raimon replied.

“Okay, then you don’t need to,” Ash said, embracing Raimon in a hug. Raimon De-Digivolved back into Pichumon, its In-Training form. {Not to be confused with Pichimon, the Baby form in Digimon.}

“Hi, Ash. It’s me Pichumon. I’m an In-Training Digimon. I may look like a Pichu, but I really pack a small punch with my Electro Shocker.”

“Okay. Let’s just leave this up to Misty and Brock with their Digimon,” Ash stated.

“Fox Tail Inferno!” Tailmon yelled. The Black Gear was starting to move. It rattled and started to fall out of Shellmon’s hair.

“It moved!” said Brock in awe. “Good job, Tailmon!”

”Hand of Fate!” yelled Angeticmon. The Black Gear fell off and it disappeared.

“Ohh…” moaned Angeticmon. Angeticmon De-Digivolved back into Togepimon.

“Oh great, now I’m De-Digivolving too,” complained Tailmon. Tailmon De-Digivolved into Vulmon.

“You did great, at least for beginners,” said Mimi. Mimi was the fashion-crazy one in the group. She was eleven years old, like Tai, and her full name was Mimi Tachikawa. She never liked to do anything physical, and if she does, boy, does she get cranky! She wore a red shirt and a long, red skirt, wearing a pink cowboy hat. Her light, brown hair matched her brown eyes and shoes. Her Digimon, Palmon, was talking to Joe’s Gomamon.

The Digidestined, with their new friends, Ash, Misty and Brock, walked towards their next destination. Who knows what evil lurks ahead? Well, I hope both worlds see the same light! Stay tuned!
