Episode Eight: Mt. Moon Menace!

Star Pokemon in today’s episode: Lombre and Zubat!

Disclaimer: Hey. I have the perfect idea for A Night to Remember, so expect it soon. It has a little comedy, but lots of suspense and maybe, out-takes! Everyone loves an out-take or two. Okay, in this episode, a new trainer joins the gang and Lombre and Zubat team battle with Butterfree, but since Butterfree is an oldie, these guys are newbies, so they're in.

“HELP ME!” shrieked the voice. It sounded so near, yet so far away. It was coming from Mount Moon, the mountain of mystery.

Markus, with his new Level 15 Female Lombre, along with his Level 16 Furret, Level 15 Bulbasaur, and Level 14 Butterfree, rushed ahead of the gang and came to an abrupt halt by a group of unsuspecting people.

“Men, secure the exits; make sure NOBODY gets out,” ordered a Team Rocket Grunt.

“That’s a 10-4,” the grunt replied by walkie-talkie.

The shrieks kept getting louder and louder, all sounding the same.

Markus and his friends approached the grunt with stealthy tactics. Markus made Lombre use Astonish to make the grunt shock into flinching. Lombre nodded and used her Astonish attack.

They approached Mt. Moon. Zubat were acting unorthodox. They were flying in broad daylight. The screams kept getting louder. John was getting exhausted, so he was clever enough to use Squirtle’s Water Gun attack to keep him cool.

John lagged behind, but held a Pokeball firmly in hand and threw it. It revealed his new Level 9 Male Zubat! Markus and Carla were shocked. John caught a Zubat without even battling!

A young boy about 10 years old was tied up with a Cascoon’s String Shot. The trio of failures, Jessie, James, and Meowth snatched his only Pokeball.

“Help me! My Pokemon were stolen!” the boy yelled.

“Shut up twerp, or ‘Silcoon’ will tie you up even more!” Jessie snapped.

“Oh no, you don’t, Lombre, Nature Power!”

Lombre used Nature Power, which turned into Shadow Ball. Team Rocket ran to one of the grunts and told him to throw out his Pokeballs. He nodded and threw out a Pokeball containing a tough Pokemon: Arbok. It was at level 25, hard for the trio to defeat. Well, not for Butterfree at least.

“Butterfree, Confusion!” Markus ordered.

Butterfree let out a purple-bluish aura that hurt Arbok slightly.

“Arbok, Bite!” the grunt commanded.

“Zubat, Supersonic!” John barked.

Meanwhile, Carla ran to the boy stealthily and used Charmander’s Scratch attack. The boy was free. He told Carla that his name was Caley and started out, but then stopped in the Keuto region. Carla was shocked. The Keuto Region? That’s connected to Hoenn, which is 100 miles away from Kanto!

Of course, the three idiots had Caley’s Pokeball on a rock in open space. The two trainers just went on over to grab it.

“Let me see your Pokemon,” she requested.

“Sure,” Caley replied. He threw out his only Pokeball, containing a Fire-type Pokemon, Repfire. It looked much like a Charmander, but lacked in size and was blue, not orange-red.

The two ran and then Caley ordered, “Repfire, use Will-O-Wisp on Arbok!”

Repfire sent out an orb of fire that burned Arbok right on the dot. Arbok kept trying to cool it down.

“Zubat, aim for the burn with Leech Life!” John yelled.

Zubat sucked life out of Arbok and Arbok felt so much pain from the Leech Life with a burn! Yeouch!

“Repfire, Tail Slap!”

The trio was puzzled. “Tail Slap?” they all asked.

“Here, look at my PokeComp version 3.0,” said Caley.

~ Tail Slap: A Normal move most tailed Pokemon learn at a decent level [Lowest: 12 Highest: 67]. It can use this attack 15 times, with its 100 percent accuracy and the strength of 80. Discovered in the Keuto region. ~

“Cool,” said John and Markus in unison. Carla just shrugged and said, “Eh, it’s okay, I guess.”

“Lombre, Astonish! Make it Flinch! Butterfree, Confusion again!”

“Zubat, Leech Life!”

“Repfire, Tail Slap!”

The trio of Pokemon attacked Arbok, but were attacked right back with multiple Poison Stings.

Zubat was knocked out. Although resistant to all Poison-type attacks, its Defense was but a mere 7. It was gone…

“Zubat, return!” said John sadly, a red beam emerging from the Pokeball, returning Zubat.

“Humph, one down, three twerps to go!” said Jessie proudly.

“Go, Kent! Show ‘em who’s boss!” said Meowth. Wobbu-wobbu!

“GET BACK INSIDE!” shouted Jessie annoyed.

“All right, Markus and Caley, show that Arbok what you’re made of!” John barked.

“You got it, dude,” replied Markus with a thumbs-up. “Butterfree, Confusion! Lombre, Nature Power!” He was furious at the grunt. Kidnapping a trainer is well beyond him.

“Jess, we should help the grunt, okay?” requested James.

“Seviper!” Jessie said, throwing her two Pokeballs.

“Cacnea!” James said along with Jessie, throwing Cacnea’s Pokeball at the duo of trainers and the trio of Pokemon.

“Cac-Nea!” said Cacnea, hugging James.

“OWWWWWWWWW! NOT ME, THEM!”

“Repfire, Ember on Cacnea!”

“Butterfree, Confusion on Seviper, and Lombre, Nature Power on Arbok!”

The trio of small Pokemon rushed to the foes and unleashed with all of their might attacks that have devastating effects that can confuse or burn. It could be a complete advantage, but if there is no success, then the trainers are left without hope against that Arbok.

The Confusion and Ember defeated Jessie and James’s Pokemon in one blow each, and Meowth was then afraid, as well as the perky pop-out, Wobbuffet.

“Same attacks as last time go!” Markus ordered Butterfree and Lombre.

The Pokemon inside Mt. Moon were completely disturbed. They were confused that the Rockets were there, so they kept bumping into either the grunts or rocks, especially the Paras.

Shadow Ball, Confusion, and not Ember, but Will-O-Wisp were aimed at Arbok and Arbok got burned fortunately. But the grunt cleverly made it hold a Lum Berry to rid of its burn condition.

Caley and Markus were angry and frustrated. Butterfree was exhausted and Lombre is starting to show signs of tiredness. Caley’s Repfire is sleepy and weak. They had no choice but to surrender.

“We…we surrender,” said Markus and Caley sadly, in unison.

“Hahaha! Now Team Rocket can finally get those Moon Stones without fail and interruption with twerps like you!” shouted Kent with signs of bravery. “Our Pokemon will finally grow in power and size, especially our Nidorino and Nidorina! Hahaha! Grunts, move out, front and center!”

“Sorry for making you battle so hard, guys. You did great. Here, have some water. John, can I borrow Squirtle?” Markus said glumly.

“Sure,” replied John happily. “Squirtle, freshen them up with Water Gun!”

“Squirt…le…squirt…squirt…le!” A small jet of water emerged from Squirtle’s mouth as cold as 25 degrees. Butterfree and Lombre felt freshened up and perked up as well.

Moments later, the gang wandered around Mt. Moon, looking at the Pokemon and the Moon Stones. Caley watched in amazement the structure of the cave and looked at the Pokemon, Pokeball armed in hand. A Geodude was spotted and Caley threw a Pokeball. The countdown reached zero and then it came out. Caley just walked off. He didn’t want to disturb the Pokemon.

Although the Geodude wasn’t captured, another one came by, just as strong. He threw the Pokeball. That Geodude was caught without a single match, just like John. This temperamental disaster made the Pokemon very weak. The only power they have is when the celestial power of the moon dawns on Mount Moon. Lunatone are often found here at night, but Solrock just wander during the day.

They reached the end of the trail. A trainer with his three Magnemite, two Whismur, and one Hoothoot approached the four trainers and asked if the cool-looking kid with the blue ‘Charmander’ can battle with him.

“I come from the Keuto region, so this Charmander is actually a Repfire, given to me by Professor Maple!” Caley shouted at the flat-surfaced area of Mount Moon’s cave exit.

“Blah-blah, that’s all I’m hearing! A two-on-two battle is fine with me, dude! Go, Whismur!”

“Repfire, get in there!” Caley ordered.

The two Pokemon emerged from their Pokeballs and landed on the flat surface in unison, staring each other down. Wild Geodude and Paras and some Solrock were watching the Pokemon battle take place. The two trainers were ready for the battle, like their Pokemon, eyeing each other out.

“Whismur, Uproar it loud, man!” the Guitarist commanded his mighty Whismur. The little Whismur screamed at the top of his lungs, annoying every single Pokemon and trainer in the area, causing a rock to crack. The Guitarist seemed to enjoy the screams.

“Repfire, Tail Slap! Shut it up!” Caley ordered.

Repfire quickly ran to the little pink Whismur and slapped it mighty hard with its small tail. It showed no signs of annoyance to the Uproar. The small little Whismur fainted in an instant. It was too weak.

“Dude, that was harsh! Magnemite, rock and roll, man!” Guitarist Harris yelled.

“Mag…ne…mite!” the magnet-shaped Pokemon with a steel coating and one-eye said.

~ Magnemite: the Magnet Pokemon. Magnemite are adapted to power plants and fall in love with a Pokemon with an electrical discharge. When three unite, it evolves into Magneton. ~

“Repfire, Ember!”

“No, man that is NOT cool, man!” said Harris. Magnemite, a Steel-type, was weak against Fire attacks and was knocked out.

“Magnemite is unable to battle! Repfire wins!” Markus judged.

The battle was over. Caley won.
