‘Boy, she sure is pretty,’ thought Ash. ‘She’s elegant, much kinder and a…’ The trance wore off. It felt like Pikachu hypnotized him when he was giving him romance lessons. He looked at Misty and then felt hypnotized again.

“Misty…I…” he started.

“Yes?” Misty asked back.

‘My Beautifly…love…’ argh! Ash felt pain in his stomach. He fell ill. Misty was worried. ‘Is this a trick?’ she thought. ‘Yeah, it has to be.’ “Ash, are you okay?” she asked.

“Need…hospital…lo…lo…lo…” Ash then passed out.

‘He’s NOT faking it,’ Misty thought.

“Mist…Misty…go…me…hospital…May…Max…Brock…tell…to…tag…along…” That’s all Ash said.

Misty then ran straight to the campsite and no one was to be found. “Great,” she said to herself.

She ran to the bay. She told May and Max about the current predicament that Ash was in.

“WHAT!? Ash had a stroke? At this age? You got to provide CPR Misty, you’re his only hope!” May said sadly, although she thought of her kissing Ash instead. It was a test. A test of love.

Misty agreed to May’s orders and ran straight to where Ash had his stroke. She placed her mouth on his. Ash woke up. He felt the lips, but not the CPR way. Misty was kissing Ash! ‘Oh yeah…my love is kissing me! That feels gooooooood,’ Ash thought. He was faking the stroke, all Pikachu’s idea.

“Humph, she DOES love him!” May said to herself. “Now, I’ll kiss him. Maybe not today, but maybe on Valentine’s Day, or even tomorrow, because Valentine’s Day is in sixty-five days! Tomorrow will definitely work.”

“May, what are you saying? You look like a total, complete, and a big babbling idiot talking to yourself. You’re a fool who…” Max stopped. He thought about the story `When Fools Fall in Love`, so he said,” So you love Ash, right May?” Max then asked hesitantly.

“Yes,” May responded.

“You are afraid to tell him, right?” he then asked.

“A little, yeah. Why do you ask? You’re not a girl, so how can you feel what I’m feeling?”

“No, I’m just saying I can help you. Tomorrow, you and me can get Ashy-boy to like you, maybe even dump Misty. What do you say, May?” Max asked, hoping for a “Yes”.

“I say, bring it and let’s get my Ashy-boy to notice me!” May responded with tons of confidence.

“May, are you ready?” Max asked.

“Tell me step one, Max.”

Meanwhile, at the other side at the campsite, Ash was talking to Pikachu ever so silently and secretly. “Okay, Pika-pal, what’s Step…uh…what number? I lost track,” Ash asked.

“Chu cha pi [I don’t know]! Chu Chu ka pi [Let’s just do this]! Chu chi pika-pi “pika-pika chu-pika pika-pika” pika-chu-pi [Now, Romeo, you go to Misty and tell her “I love you with all my heart and I would love it if you went on a date with me, maybe tonight?” Go for it. I’ll be here, waiting].”

“You have GOT to be kidding me!”

“Chu cha ka pika chu pi ka cha pika [We can do this the easy way, or the hard way]!” Pikachu’s cheeks started to glow with sparks coming out of its red, cute cheeks. He got enraged at Ash.

“Okay, okay, I give! I give!” Ash got too nervous. Telling Misty the truth? That has got to be the hardest thing he’s ever done.

“Now, May, you go up to Ash and tell him your true feelings,” Max said.

“Okay,” she said happily. ‘Now’s my chance. My love, I’m coming!’ May thought.

While Ash was heading towards Misty, he bumped into May. He looked at her with passion and flare. He’s in love with May! He imagined him with her, holding hands and walking along the shoreline under the moonlight.

“Ash, I…” May stopped.

“Misty, I love you!” Ash said quickly.

May growled at Ash furiously. Misty is shocked. Ash is nervous.

“What?” Misty asked sweetly.

“WHAT!!!?” May scowled.

“I…I love you. I haven’t the chance of telling this long ago, because I didn’t know how you’d react. When I laid eyes on you when we first met, I was ga-ga in love and the bike was a perfect excuse to run away from my feelings, not the flock of Spearow. I love you with all my heart and was hoping to take you out on a date. Maybe later tonight? Oh, and May? I love you as well. When you dropped the vase in Prof. Birch’s laboratory, I saw a clumsy girl, but sweet and beautiful, as well. I knew you were in love with me. When you asked me to go together, you said together with lots of emphasis on the word. That’s why I’m considering a date with you AND Misty.”

May, Misty, Pikachu and Max were frozen solid. Did they hear that correctly? Brock was behind the trees [he said that he will be taking a stroll, and the group agreed]. He looked at Ash and said to himself, “Way to go, Romeo.”

Later that night, like Ash promised, the trio went out on their date. They walked on the shoreline near the bay and both Misty and May were leaning on both of Ash’s shoulders; Misty on the left shoulder, May on the right. Ash was lucky. Both of his lovers are on a date with him. One is thirteen and the other, well, she’s my lover.

“Oh, Ash, isn’t this romantic? All of us on a date near the beach. What a romantic scene!”

May didn’t say anything at all. She just leaned on Ash’s shoulder and fell asleep.
