Part Nine: The Truth be Told

Dislcaimer: I’m so sad. I was THIS close to get Markus’ Adventure to win the Best In Category award for Other Trainer {However, before the BIC’s ended, it was considered General- Tied for 4th Place man!} Anyways, Misty101803 tied for 9th place with me in the Ash and Misty Romance Category, and that means I’m pretty good. He-he. I got 28 reviews in four months {Since I wrote this disclaimer on May 1.} 17 were for A Night to Remember, and the remaining 11 were for Markus’ Adventure.

Muffled, all we can hear from May was “G-o-e!” She was getting more strangled by the winner of the match, Giovanni. Team Rocket Leader and owner of the Viridian City Gym, Giovanni is pure evil. He once created Mewtwo, but his power was superior that of Giovanni’s Pokemon.

Back at Ice Island, Misty was trying to ward off Moltres, but then, it hit her like a Snorlax using Body Slam. She knew Moltres’ Sky Attack uses fire power, and Ash’s head is free from harm, but there was a big risk. She could kill Ash, but it could be the only way to save him. Ash started to regain consciousness and started to speak in three words that are hard to comprehend.

“I…low…yo,” was all Ash said repeatedly. What he meant was “I love you.” His voice was still a little around the edges, but at least he was alive.

“Come on Moltres, is that all you got!?” Misty lured. Moltres got furious and attacked with full power. It flew up high and fired a Flamethrower attack. It melted over half of the ice block. Jessie, James and Meowth all saw this on camera.

“What!?” Jessie snapped.

James gasped.

“Oh no!” Meowth panicked.

All was left was Ash’s legs and feet. Misty was exhausted. And then, Ash said something other than “I…low…yo.” He said, “Misty, I love you.” Misty knew this already {Part 3}, so she said again, “I love you too, Ash.” She smiled sweetly at him, then looked fiercely at Moltres.

Back at Fire Island, May and Melody were karate chopped by Giovanni and sent to an underground base. Tens of hundreds of Team Rocket Grunts were mingling and running about, training for upcoming missions from Giovanni, Maxie, Archie, Douglas {Team Thunder Leader}, and the only female leader, Catherine. {Team Shadow Leader}

The base that the people mingled in was called The Under. Team Rocket’s associates were Team Magma, Team Thunder {Markus’ Adventure, one of two new teams}, Team Aqua, Team Shadow {Markus’ Adventure, one of two new teams}, and Team Snagem {Pokemon Colosseum}. They were all discussing on how to steal Pokemon and use them for their own dirty and devilish deeds.

“We should steal Suicune and then Raikou,” suggested a Team Aqua Grunt, speaking to a Team Thunder Grunt.

“I don’t care what we get, but we should just get what we get!” snapped the Team Thunder Grunt.

”Agreed? Suicune and then Raikou?” asked the Team Aqua Grunt.

“Affirmative,” replied the Team Thunder Grunt as he left towards the bar.

Giovanni walked along casually, giving a silent “Hello,” to all of the Grunts approaching him.

He took his two prisoners and placed them in two condensed prison cells in the B7 floor. The floor transformed from metallic and cyber-like to cold stone and cobblestone. It had a creepy theme, Shadow Pokemon scaring the prisoners. Guards were on patrol, pistols grasped, Pokeballs clipped on their belts.

Giovanni threw the two preteens into cell 6452. There were a ton of prisoners in there, but more than three-fourths of them were Pokemon trainers.

A boy in his late ten’s was tossing his Pokeball up and over his head over and over. His white hair resembled that of Pryce and his clothes were completely worn out, hardly anyone was able to identify him. His name was Miguel.

“I am not going to lose faith. Machoke, come out!”

A Pokemon emerged with a cry. It was blue and looked like it had muscles for legs and arms. It was enormous, about the size of a Caterpie stacked on top of a Charmeleon. It was enraged that his trainer was in a cell. He kicked the pure metal bars, and in one kick, the bars snapped off.

“Machoke, return!” Miguel said.

“There’s been a breach!” a Rocket Grunt yelled, holding his gun and running towards the cell 6449. Bullets were flying everywhere.

“Snorlax, go!” Miguel shouted. With that, a gigantic Pokemon and a very fat one, not to mention, came out of that little Pokeball. It was chubby and loved to eat. Its eyes were closed shut and its mouth was very small. It weighed a lot {1014 lbs}, making one step an earthquake.

“Grab the bullets and use Hyper Beam!” Miguel ordered.

Snorlax used its belly to make the bullets have no effect. Then, his mouth opened, revealing an orange orb of energy. It charged up, and fired that orange orb at the grunts. They were all sent flying. But one hit the wall.

“Mooooooooore…where have you been?” asked a Rocket Grunt.

“Sorry, the Ursarings were in town,” answered another Grunt.

“The Electabuzz rule!” yelled a trainer. She wore an outfit just like those in the Electabuzz baseball team. Her Meganium was wearing a band with a small thunderbolt decoration on it. That girl was a trainer in the Johto region, who’s Meganium was her first Pokemon, a Chikorita a long time ago. She accompanied Ash and the gang a few times in Johto, like in the Bug-Catching contest. Her Beedrill, given by Ash during the Bug-Catching contest, was stronger and looked powerful. However, its endurance was low.

‘That’s it,’ thought Casey. “Beedrill, use Endeavor!” Beedrill used its low HP and barely got up. Its stingers became shiny and clear. It sliced through the bars in one cut. {If you don’t know what Endeavor is an attack in Hoenn that if your HP is lower than your opponent’s, you inflict more damage, and in Fire Red/Leaf Green, Beedrill learns that attack at Level 45, so don’t sue!}

“Another breach! I’ll take care of the girl, and you guys take are of the boy with that Snorlax,” yelled a Rocket General. “Plant this on her head!” he ordered the grunts. The mechanism was the same one used for Pokemon, but is also used for humans. “Switch it on!”

“Affirmative,” a grunt replied. He twisted the dial of the mechanism and Casey’s eyes went from normal to dark and no color. She looked like a zombie. The men also defeated the Snorlax and stole it from Miguel, as well as his Machoke.

“Destroy those two,” Giovanni ordered, pointing at May and Melody.

BOOM! Jessie and James were at the door; Seviper’s tail glowing, and then fading away. Misty was there, carrying Ash on her shoulders. It looked as if it were a James Bond action movie. Ash was still in his tux, undamaged.

“Freeze! You are under arrest!” Jessie and James yelled.

“What!? How dare you insulate the girl and boy and not the five organizations!?” Giovanni barked.

“It’s quite simple. We just needed to know your plans for the Pokemon, and for two years, you’ve finally revealed the truth! We work with the PIA, or the Pokemon Intelligence Agency.” He flashed his badge. There it was, an Identification Card as well as his badge. He was official. He grabbed his handcuffs and then Giovanni was whisked away to jail, going to do time for fifty years.

Casey was headed towards May and Melody’s cell, evil all over her {Schmaltzy, I know, but what’s gotta be done, has gotta be done}.

“Meowth, Fury Swipes!”

May and Melody tried to get in the way, and luckily, Meowth’s Fury Swipes scratched the tape off May and Melody’s mouths.

“OWW! Meowth!”

The cat Pokémon was startled and then Meowth used its claws to bust May and Melody out of their prison cell and were grabbed by Jessie and James. They ran out of the under, Pikachu following them.

“Why have you been working with the PIA for two years and haven’t told us a thing?” Misty asked, running.

“I’ll tell you later!” James replied, sprinting towards the elevator exit, holding Giovanni’s detonator in his right hand. Ash was completely shocked to see this. Team Rocket helping him? He was shocked.

“Jessie, why are you helping us?” Ash asked finally.

“Ash, you’re okay!” May and Melody yelled synchronized.

“Yeah, I’m fine!” Ash replied to both of them.

They boarded the elevator, to see a young male with white hair, with some contraption attached to his left arm. He never spoke and had two Pokémon on his side, an Espeon and an Umbreon. He had no name. But most people call him Leo. There was a girl by his side who looked much like Misty and she had a little crush on him. She was blushing, so that’s how people can tell the love.

“Hello,” said May. Silence. She repeated her hello, and there was more silence. She noticed the Espeon and Umbreon and took out her Pokedex.

{Umbreon: The Moonlight Pokémon}
<.IMG SRC="authors/pokemonchampion/images/umbreon.ext">{Umbreon are big rivals with Sneasel. They are defensive when Umbreon younger than them are in danger. They stalk on their opponents and use Feint Attacks when they are in danger from Pokémon and even humans.}

{Espeon: The Sun Pokémon}
<.IMG SRC="authors/pokemonchampion/images/espeon.ext">{Espeon have amazing Psychic powers. They can call on the sunlight to gain strength and energy, unlike their counterpart Umbreon, who use moonlight instead. Espeon are witty when it comes to battling, even against their own kind.}

“Ah. Leo, it is good to see you again,” said James.

“Wait,” Ash said, plopping his body to the ground, dusting of his tux, ”you know James?”

“Yes, haven’t you told them, Agent 007?” Leo responded.

“Double O Seven? It sounds like this is a spy movie, not a novel! Denny, what are you doing up there!?” Misty yelled, clenching her fist at nothing but sky.

“All in due time, Misty,” I replied.

They left and went into an office in a place called The Pokémon Tower, one of the main hideouts for the PIA.

“Okay, do you want the truth? Well, here’s the truth,” James said with a toothpick in his mouth. The scene faded away and a flashback began.

~*~*~*~Flashback: 10 years ago…~*~*~*~

James {Voice-over}: It was a cold, long road in my life. I was but only a young boy, with Growlie by my side. My hopes and dreams have faded, as well as my wealth. I was intelligent at that time, and I still am, although I don’t show it.

It was tough in our home, Jezebel and her Oddish attacking us and making me a very charming boy, which I hated. I just wanted to be a top company owner and keep track of everything, like a businessman, but I didn’t need this. I just left home, with nothing but Growlie, my Growlithe companion.

“We need food, Growlie, but I’m completely bankrupt!” a young James cried. Growlie replied with a bark towards a nearby bakery. Then, the PIA showed up, looking for an intelligent young male with a great Fire-type Pokémon, such as Arcanine or Typhlosion. I was part of their team.

As time went on, Growlie got weaker, and I had to let him go home. The PIA sent him home, and they gave me an Arcanine. I loved it and called it Firedog.

Ash interrupted. “But why did you join Team Rocket?”

“Well, it was part of my mission, Ash. I had to see if Giovanni would use Mewtwo for devilish deeds, and to my surprise, he was.”

“But that happened two years ago, almost,” Misty interrupted.

“Yes, but the PIA found more things about The Under, and the five teams. I met a boy named Markus and his friends, and they were in the way, so we had to attack him and his friends.”

“I remember that,” said Misty {Ah, you see? A combination of two stories…I’m good.} “Also, I traveled with them on their journeys, because they were short on funding, and Brock showed me how to cook some of his famous dishes.”

“So that’s why you were in Hoenn, Misty,” said Ash. {Misty meets Ash in the future episodes, and Togepi evolves.}

“Please, let me finish,” said James. Misty and Ash froze in unison and nodded.

“There was more to the missions, my friends,” James said, “there was more to that…” He paused. He looked to see Jessie talking to Leo near a Pokémon restoration machine. He whispered, “…Jessie.”
