Chapter six

 

We were all in our battle morphs (Except me and Ax, who demorphed) and we seemed to give the kids quite a shock. Brock was just standing there, gaping, Ash looked paler than a ghost, and when Misty tried to scream, a weird croaking noise came out of her mouth.

 

< What? > I said. < Haven't you ever seen an animal before? >

 

To my immense surprise, all three shook their heads.

 

< What?! Are you saying you have never seen a cat, dog, or even a bear? > Rachel cried (She says it was pure coincidence that she was one at the time).

 

"A, um, what?" Ash said, almost puzzling over the words.

 

< You know, a cat. What those guys in the weird uniform had with them. >

 

"You mean Team Rocket? Oh, that was a Meowth."

 

< Maybe this is an alternate dimension, and these people have different names for creatures. > Marco said in private thought speak, imitating Axs' puzzled voice.

 

Meanwhile, the yellow mouse seemed to be coming round.

 

"Pikachu, are you OK?" Ash asked, hurrying over.

 

'Pika, Pika. Ka Chu' was the only answer he got, yet he replied as if he understood it.

 

"Oh, that bad, huh? Hey what happened to that slug thing?"

 

"Oh, I saw it come out of Pikachu's ear and squashed it." Misty answered, and revealed the sole of her foot was covered with slimy black stuff.

 

"Good, then that" Motioning the yellow thing. "Will be OK." I sighed. After seeing it's electric powers, I didn't think that it would be too good to us If a Yeerk was in control of it.

 

Suddenly, a large rubber hand on a metal wire reached through the door and grabbed the mouse.

 

"Pikachu!" Ash cried in desperation as he tried to grab hold of it.

 

"Too late." Cried a voice.

 

"Prepare for trouble, we beat you at last."

 

"Make it double and now we will pass."

 

"To protect the world from devastation."

 

"To unite all peoples within our nation."

 

"To announce the evils of truth, and love.

 

"To extend our reach to the stars above."

 

"Butch!"

 

"Cassidy!"

 

"Team Rocket, blasting of at the speed of light!"

 

"Surrender now, or prepare to fight, fight, fight!"

 

Two figures suddenly burst through the wall in a giant battle tank!

 

"You won't have him for long! I choose you, Pidgeotto!"

 

A large bird flew out of one of the ball tied to Ash's belt.

 

< You know what they say, Birds of a feather, flock together! > I cried, and promptly flew up to join Pidgeotto. We charged towards the metal cage holding Pikachu, beaks outstretched.

 

We were charging towards it faster than bullets. We were going to hit the cage, I braced myself the impact......

 

But it never came.

 

 

I wonder what happens? Even I think I'll have trouble figuring this one out.
