Disclaimers: I do not and never will own Pokemon. Get it? Got it? Good. Now I won’t have to repeat it…

Author’s Note: This is a squeal to Faith in a Child. It’s gonna be rather sad in some parts and mushy in others. Nothing that would be over a PG rating…except for maybe the deaths…hmmm, maybe I should rack the rating up higher…nah. Oh and those waiting for Deadly Dreamer to finish. It might be not be…I think I am giving up on it. Most of the time I have my stories completely planned out. I just couldn’t get a middle section of the story worked out. Don’t be surprised if it will be taken off. It wasn’t that great of a story idea any way. lol. Oh, and one more thing. This is another dimension that they are entering. Ashton is now Ashura. Ashura is the smarter and more sensible half of Ash. Ashura has dark blue eyes. Ashton (or the Ash in the TV show) has amber. There are also differences in other characters as you will see. Zai doesn’t exist in this world that he enters. That side of him died. So Jeffery is still alive. Some changes are for the better…some aren’t.

Zai’s eyes fluttered slowly opened to see nothing more then the abyss that surrounded him. His eyes closed again. Time seemed to hover in place. Zai wished for hope of being shown light. The worst torture in the world was the loss of all senses except for thought. Lost in your mind forever. Zai’s black eyes opened once more. This time a image wafted tantalizing Zai’s mind. He had been in darkness so long it didn’t seem possible. Too breathtaking to have ever existed. Zai reached out for it find a breeze of night air. He fell to all fours onto the lush green grass. Zai inhaled and exhaled deeply the smell of the satisfying night. His hands clenched the warm grass with determination. He could feel what year it was. He had been transported into the past by several years. He took another deep breath and closed his dark eyes gently. He was very near Pallet town. Ash must be a small child now. Maybe the same age as when he first tried to kill the brat. Something was different here. It wasn’t the same world. It was different some how. Like maybe a different dimension?

Zai opened his eyes again and glared at the pin picks of houses in the distance.

“If I can’t get my revenge on the Ash of the first dimension… I’ll just have to kill him in this one.”

Delia stoked her baby’s cheek softly with one hand. The five year old lay in a deep slumber like a angel from above. He was even more of a seraph in the day. He was so smart for a child his age. Delia didn’t understand how he could be so bright and able. Nothing seemed to dampen his sprits. And his heart was purest of pure. He could nothing to harm anyone. She stroked his soft black hair and smiled when he yawned and grabbed her hand with his two tiny ones. He hugged her hand to his chest and whispered,

                “I love you, Mommy.”

“I love you too, Ashura.” Delia smiled.

Ash let out another tiny yawn and loosened his grip just enough for Delia to slip away. She flipped the top back of their music box. The lullaby rocked through the room harmonizing with Ash’s breathing; filling Delia with pride and happiness in her boy. Her deep blue eyes darkened, fixing on the dark storm clouds that were drifting over the mountains. She walked over to the slightly opened window and lowered it till it was shut and locked tight. Something deep inside her filled her with doubt and uncertainty. She didn’t know why…

Zai hoped to make this quick. Nothing bloody. Not commotion. He would just silence Ash quickly and quietly. Zai’s cruel haunting eyes stopped firm on a pretty cottage with an Ash tree in front. He scanned up to the middle window on the top floor. There Zai could sense Ash’s presence…or was it? Strangely, this boy was similar to Ash but there was a slight difference…

The blinding light dimmed in till it was just a small orb surrounding the crystal. Ashton stood with his eyes shut, the orb suspended in the gap between his hands. A heavenly song wafted through the air. No one dared to speak…

A air current rushed around the small boy engulfing him in the small tornado…

“He is the one!” Some strange man whispered in disbelief.

The tornado slowly died and Ashton stood with his eyes till shut. The glowing crystal still in his grasp.

‘What’s going on?!’ Ashura screamed in his mind. He knew that this had never happened to him before…then why could he see it happening? Was this to happen in the future? Or was it to happen to someone else?

The music sounded like a harp being twanged to a certain song. It was really beautiful…

Ashura tired to move but he stood jammed to the ground watching the whole thing happen. He didn’t understand. He didn’t get it.

Ashton slowly opened his eyes. They were glowing a light shade of blue like the crystal.

The haunting eyes stuck Ashura with terrible fear. He wanted to scream but nothing came out. He stood facing this person… Suddenly it was only them in the room. Ashton’s eyes turned into a amber hew. His face broke into a kind hearted smile,

‘It’s going to be alright, Ashura. You just need to wake up now. You will have to trust me.’

Ashura blinked as fear clouded his judgment. He took a step back from Ashton. Ashton merely smirked.

‘How can I trust you?’ Ashura asked, ‘Who are you?’

‘I am you, Ashura.’ Ashton smiled, ‘My name is Ashton. You can say I am more of your humor side.”

Ashura blinked his navy blue eyes again and shook his head,

‘I don’t understand. There are two parts of me?’

‘One part is smart and hardworking. The other is more laid back and clumsy.’ Ashton grinned, ‘Be happy. I’d have to say you’re the better half.’

‘What if you get yourself killed?’ Ashura asked panicky, ‘What happens to me?’

Ashton shrugged,

‘Nothing except for that you can’t fulfill you’re destiny.’

                ‘What’s that?’

                ‘What do you think, Ash?’

Ash sat up out of bed suddenly at the clap of thunder. Rain emptied out from the heavens pounding down on the roof. There was another clap of thunder and Ash ducked under his covers. He hugged his knees close to his chest and sighed.

“Ashton… Are you here to protect me?”

There was another rumble that seemed to shake to house. It was almost mute but Ash caught the sound of the floor groaning under the weight of someone’s feet. Ash pushed back the covers suddenly to see a man standing before him. His body was glowing with power. Another flash of lighting forked it’s way across the sky illumining the man’s rigid and iniquity face.

Ashura’s deep cobalt eyes widened in alarm. He opened his mouth to scream when the man fastened his hand about Ashura’s neck. He lifted the poor boy into the air choking him. Ash knocked his fists against the man’s wrist over and over again trying for him to loosen his grip. His attempts were futile. His body went numb and eyes started to go blank. He clutched the man’s wrist in till he lost strength and his arms fell limply to his side…

The man laughed quietly,

                “Good bye.”

‘Hold on, Ashura.’ A voice echoed, ‘Don’t lose heart.’

Ashura blinked as his world slid in and out of focus…Ashton…
