Pokemon Wars By PsyChu Note: POKEMON WARS takes place ten years in the future from where the TV show takes place. This is a "Dark" Pokemon chronicle and may contain violence and foul language that is not present in Gamefreak or Nintendo's version of Pokemon "GS" Johto League. You have been warned...now...please enjoy the Pokemon Wars. Chapter 2: The LEGUE convenes "470 people dead, over 2,000 injured, and at least 150 to 300 Pokemon killed from your soldier's gunfire Colonel Tames. Do you have any explanation for all of this?" Asked Dorian, one of the elder members of the Pokemon League. "Sir, at this time there is not enough information present for me to give you an accurate answer to that question." "Fine, then let me ask you something else. What, exactly, made you think that the LEGUE Force needed to use such excessive and violent tactics in order to suppress the situation? Your job was to stop the Pokemon from hurting the people of Togo...not to create a bloodbath!" "Since there was no way for us to control our own Pokemon, the only way to stop them was to use standard weapons. If we hadn't more lives might have been lost." "Yes," stated Cyril, Pokemon Master of the Aqua order, "something had to be done in order to stop the rampage in Togo. And although I hate to side with Colonel on this one I have to believe that necessary actions were taken in order to keep these Pokemon from inflicting damage on other nearby towns." "But Cyril," Dorian interrupted, "how can you condone mass murder?" "Sir..." Tames began to speak. "Colonel, I don't know about you, but I would be ashamed to wear that uniform if I had given the order to kill all of those Pokemon. It's why people like you go into the LEGUE Force rather than become real Pokemon Masters." "I've had about enough of this Bullshit!" Tames slammed his fist down on the table. "You think I wanted to kill those Pokemon? I'm a peacemaker, sir. That is my job. And if I have to send in the troops in order to keep the peace, I'm willing to do that. And if you have a problem with that, then relieve me of command. But let me tell you one thing..." Tames stared Dorian down and looked him straight in the eye, "If you think for one minute I'm going to sit here and listen to you insult my command and my battle techniques then you've got me all wrong. Don't ever drag me in here and tell me I don't know how to do my job. You go out there and see if you'd do any better sir. You'd probably come back here with your tail in between your legs and your head so far up your ass you'd never get it out." Tames relaxed and straightened up. "Now, for your information, the brains back at HQ have reason to believe that we've not send the end of this yet." "What?" all the members of the counsel shot up at once. "How is that possible?" "Well, we believe that this was more than just a random outbreak. We believe someone, or something caused the Pokemon to turn on their trainers." "Who could possibly do such a thing?" one of the other members asked? "We don't know yet, but I have all the troops on full alert. If there is another outbreak," Tames looked directly at Dorian, "We'll be ready." Dorian looked away from the rest of the members, realizing the true magnitude of what was going on. "Tames, forgive me for questioning your abilities." Quickly, he looked up at Tames, "I have every bit of confidence in you that you will support the rules of the Pokemon League and take care of the situation as it presents itself." "You have my word, sir." "Then I shall leave you to your work." "Dorian," Cyril broke in, "aren't you forgetting something?" "Oh, yes. I almost forgot." Dorian stood up from the table and walked over to the 3D Vid-Tech Screen on the opposite side of the room. "According to recent INTEL information provided by Gym Leaders in the Western Continent, several Pokemon centers have been under attack by terrorist groups. Those that we know of include PSYCLO, the Psychic Pokemon resistance faction led by former Gym Leader Koda, the PKU, also known as the Pokemon Kings Unit, a former militant wing of our own Pokemon League, the Elements, a powerful group comprised of some strong Trainers who are skilled with Pokemon of ground, wind, water, and fire, and the Knife's Edge Faction, determined to overthrow the Pokemon League for not representing them in the council. They still believe that they should be a part of our comprised program even though there politics match those of thieves, thugs, and reckless, inexperienced trainers." As he spoke, images pertaining to all of these groups flashed onto the screen. One by one, they were listed according to how much of a threat they were to the sanctity of the Pokemon World. "So, In short, we have to keep up our guard and make sure none of these groups take this little event as an invitation to cause more trouble. In addition, we on the council believe it is in the best interest of all the territories to check up on these factions and see if they have anything to do with this recent outbreak in Togo City." Tames, understanding immediately that this was directed to him, answered out... "I'll see to it personally, Sir. Is there anything else?" "No, that's all." But was it really all that was left to be said? One of the council members didn't think so. And there was a reason for this. "Dorian, I have one thing to ask the entire council." "Is there something bothering you, Menthus?" The young man looked around at the table and realized that everyone was waiting for him to ask his question. "I was wondering, you mentioned the names of many different criminal Pokemon factions on that list but you seemed to have left one out." "What are you trying to say, Menthus?" Unsure of himself, Menthus looked to the rest of the Council for help, but found none. Finally, somehow, he was able to spit out the question. "Whatever happened to Team Rocket?"
