Author's note: I put in Brock's call just for a laugh, so no angry mail or flamers please:) In case you stumbled upon this looking for a good read, go back to chapter 1 first and keep going further... It's quite important in the early bits. Rate me PLEASE and increase my status among other fan fic writers (sorry if I'm too frank there:)). I already got a fan or 2, and I'd like to have a lot more! Remember: this is exactly 5 years in the future. 5. And if you don't know who Butch and Cassidy are, you better e-mail a team rocket fan (there are loads-simply look for someone who makes those highly rated team rocket fanfics) for info on Butch and Cassidy. They were on only 2 pokŽmon episodes as of yet, remember. And one more thing for all othose real EXTREME Ash+Misty people: I did NOT put in what happened with Ash and May for a laugh (even though I show romance in a strange way-maybe I'm reading too many of William Horwood's 'Duncton' books). Or, maybe I'm being just a little paranoid. Just a little. Remember: this is my first ever fan fic (well, the 7th chapter of my first ever fan fic). - Puffinstuf *** *** Character traits *** *** 5. Jameson was there, just sitting down on a chair, but he was trying to avoid talking to Officer Jenny because she might get suspicious. That was the last thing he would need. A female doctor entered the room. "She's stable. She's got a triple concussion, though, so we'll need to do some work. Does she know anyon-" "Brock, staying with Ash at the pokŽmon league village," Misty interrupted, not really feeling that it was her day. It wasn't Jameson's day, either-Jessie wasn't caught, and even with senior rocket Butch eliminated Jessie posed a threat. Jessie knew Jameson well, and she would be able to locate him quite quickly, somehow. And he still didn't know who Giovanni was. The doctor moved out of the room quite quickly, turning on a mobile as he went. He talked to the operator, then to Brock right outside the door. Jameson could hear the doctor speaking on the phone, so he decided to listen in, and find out a little more about Prof. Ivy and 'Brock'. "Hello? Is this Brock I'm speaking to?" "This is Dr. Ni Kilfoyle." "What about that name? Who is this?" "Well, Ash, I am the doctor, and I am authorised to speak to someone who knows the patient. Is Brock there?" "Hello, Brock? There's been an accident." "What? Oh, yes. Not Misty. It's Prof. Ivy." "No, she's not going to die! She just has a bang on the head-" Jameson nearly chuckled. A triple concussion was not 'just a bang on the head'! "What? I'm not the responsible one." "No, I'm not blaming you, Brock!" "What did you call me?" Jameson decided not to listen in anymore. Jameson walked slowly out of the room, and continued on through the hall of the hospital floor. The hallway was empty. Jameson heard a noise. Someone was walking through the coridoor. Coming closer. Closer. He seen the person walk by the intersection. It was a female, with long and light brown hair and wearing a conservative-style business suit and she had a pokŽball on one hand, and another hand on her pocket. Cassidy! She looked Jameson in the eye, and turned around and started walking in his direction. James kept walking. Faster. Faster. But Cassidy kept going faster. There was no hope. Unless, of course, Jameson stopped walking-and started running, which is what he gradually did, with Cassidy behind him in close pursuit. By the time Jameson reached the end of the hallway, he was running as fast as he can. Jameson couldn't use his pokŽmon-a battle would be unwise in a place of extreme security. Cassidy took her hand out of her pocket and there came a small pisol without a silencer, and she aimed it at James' head while running. Hearing a gun being carried (the ammo normally makes a sound as it shakes about) Jameson leaped down and tripped Cassidy. Cassidy tripped, fell, and on impact she pressed a button on her pokŽball-and out came her Raticate. Jameson got up running, but now both Cassidy and the Raticate were after him. The Raticate was surprisingly fast, and it quickly tackled Jameson to the ground. Raticate was returned to his pokŽball as Jameson rolled around to get back up, with the angered Cassidy standing beside him. Jameson recieved a quick kick in the gut from Cassidy. "For my teammate," she yelled, then she aimed her gun once more at Jameson's head and muttered, "for team rocket." Cassidy pressed the trigger. Jameson nearly died of shock as she pressed it. No loud bang. Just a 'click'. No ammo. Cassidy smiled. You could tell by her face that she meant not to fire. "Glad?" Cassidy enquired, "next time you won't be so fortunate to live, you son of a bitch." Jameson just lay there councious, breathing at a rapid pace as Cassidy left, smiling. Jameson slowly got up from where he lay and he simply stared in front of him, face unchanged. "What's wrong?" It was Misty, leaning on the wall, looking questioning. "Nothing. Why do you ask me that question?" Cerulean City- 19:00 Richard stared at his pokŽmon league prize money that he was holding and counting lying down in his room in front of a television turned on mute. "1 million, 2 million, 3 million, ah! 5 million yen." Richard stuck a lollipop in his mouth, brought out the money so it was in front of his face, and said, "Who loves ya, baby!" Richard then laughed out loud, balancing the lollipop on his teeth. "This is great stuff, stuff of effort." Richard kissed the money. The doorbell rang. Okay, Richard thought, now it's time to get serious. Richard put his money in his pocket, and ran down the stairs and answered the door in front of the stairs. When I meant 'answer' I didn't mean 'open'. Richard looked through a keyhole. It was Lily of the Cerulean gym's eye, obviously looking through a keyhole at the same time. Richard opened the door nervously, as Lily was Richard's ex-girlfriend. "Uh, hi. What is it, Lily?" Lily came inside, saying nothing. "Richard, I know what you're thinking, but Violet or Daisy could've come along instead for this subject. It's not about... It." Richard closed the door behind him. "...Yes, Lily, so why did you come?" "It's a long story, but... Okay. Did you read the papers or watch the news today?" Richard shook his head no. Lily went to a table in the kitchen to the left of the door, took a folded piece of paper out of her pocket, and unfolded it out to Richard. Richard picked up the document and read it carefully. It was a newspaper headline. There was a picture of a motel and beside it there was some wreckage. Richard cocked an eyebrow as he read the headlines: ___ ___ ___ ___ ___ ___ ___ ___ ___ ___ ___ ___ ___ ___ ___ ___ ___ ___ ___ ___ ___ ___ ___ ___ WRECK AT PEWTER CITY 1 DEATH, 2 PEOPLE HOSPITALIZED AS TEAM ROCKET IS ON A MANHUNT People are panicking at the Pewter city area as they find out that Team Rocket is not a tiny origanization of crazy people but a real organized crime syndicate as someone, who doesn't mention his name or allow it to be shown in the papers, was hunted down yet surviving the attack. In the confusion of the attack a helicopter was shot down with 2 people, and one, named Misty- ___ ___ ___ ___ ___ ___ ___ ___ ___ ___ ___ ___ ___ ___ ___ ___ ___ ___ ___ ___ ___ ___ ___ ___ Richard looked away from the article. "Point?" Lily was satisfied. "Okay, Richard, you see... Misty called us and gave me a description of what she thinked the man looked like. I know that you're like... Good and all that at pokŽmon drawings. Are you good at like, you know, like, drawing people?" Richard shrugged. "I never drew a human before except when I was very young... But if I'm good at drawing pokŽmon, I might very well be good at drawing humans. I'll get the paper and pencils." Now that I can mention it, Richard noticed, I still got a lollipop in my mouth. Richard brought out a 3H pencil (which reminded him of technical drawing classes), 3B pencil (which reminded him of art class) and a HB pencil (which reminded him of nothing), an eraser, a piece of paper and a lot of patience. Richard brought down the piece of paper on the kitchen table. Lily gave Richard a long description written on a piece of paper in her handwriting. Lily was sitting on a chair, crossing her legs and waiting for Richard to finish the drawing. "Are you, like, done?" Richard smiled, putting his three penils down, and answered, "I am. And why did Violet and Daisy bring you here? They could've come with you." Lily's expression and voice didn't change. "Well, the other sisters thought that I would be a useful person for this job on my own because they thought that you would listen to me more than the others." Richard slapped himself on the forehead. Pallet town- 21:30 Gary's sister May and Ash Ketchum were coming back from their date at a fancy restaurant, which Ash could afford because of champion money. "Ash, I had a great time there. I'll never forget it." Ash rubbed the back of his neck a little. "It was no problem, Mas. Mind if I take you to your house?" May giggled. "Not at all," she replied, walking and looking with one eye directly at Ash and the other one ahead. Ash arrived at Gary's house with excitement. "Here we are, Ash. Goodnight." Ash kissed May without reluctance, his arms around her back, for a relatively long time. May smiled afterwards, and turned around running to her house. When Ash was finished he waved goodbye and went off to his house. On the way back, Ash met Gary again. He was walking back to his own house, but he halted Ash anyways and noted, "if you're having any second thoughts about my sister, here's a newspaper that says something that happened to Misty on the front page." Ash cocked an eyebrow. "Why do you think that I'm going out with your sister?" Gary gave Ash a newspaper. "Because I hired a private detective." Ash slapped himself on the forehead. However, Ash read the front page on his desk. Ash drank a cup of soup while reading it. "H-m. Wonder how Misty's doing." A phone call came on to Ash's line, on the phone beside the desk Ash was reading the newspaper on. "Ring ring ring, ring ring ring, phone call, phone-" Ash picked up the phone. "Hey, Ash?" Ash didn't recognize the voice. "Who is it?" "It's Richard. There's something you should see at Cerulean city right now-want me to give you my adress?" "Hey, hey, hey, much too fast, Richard. What's so important that I should see?" "Well, I shown this picture of someone I drew on description to Officer Jenny..." *** *** Character traits *** *** 6.
